So very sad to say that total destruction of the Pools decimated the Miracle.
Rather than managing the asset when it became popular the forest service destroyed it.
It’s ironic that the very same forest service manages access to highly popular trails and springs across the country with fees and timed access. I guess they forgot to look for solutions.
Hey, I hear Yosemite has become crowded and someone died at half dome. They better get started blowing up the rock before the crowds get to large.
Pretty cool place I've never been I've always heard about it finally got the chance to go it's kind of a steep short hike it's definitely duable there is poison oak And it does and it does smell like sulfur got there it's pretty cool we lit a couple bubbles on fire Was kind of damaged from the recent rains because of the river but definitely a cool spot
This place is still amazing and gorgeous. Sadly, it's no longer the place shown in all the gorgeous reviews. There are now only a few tiny pools left because the police came in and destroyed almost all the pools. FTP & ACAB
Didn't make it to the hot springs. I'm sure they were beautiful, and the drive to them was very pretty, but due to several shady characters in the area my wife and I decided to leave soon after arriving. We were verbally harassed twice on the road by a roaming seemingly intoxicated man in a white van, and once we reached the hot springs area there were several unwelcoming individuals as well. Neither of us felt comfortable so we left as quickly as we could. This is rare for us, and we only want to advise others to be wary.
I love this little hot springs. Finding a hot spring next to a river is alway a great combo.
I found it way to busy on the 4th of July weekend. And people need to remember to pack out what they pack in. If someone doesn't pick up yor trash who will? Other then that the water was supper clean and the river felt great. I think I will be plain a trip during th week some time.
Great Hot Springs on the edge of the Kern River. We came on a holiday weekend and the springs were pretty full of people, but they did turn over pretty quickly. There were at least six or seven different pools to sit in.
Beware of thieves when parking away from people!
Sadly my car was broken into Sun Jan 16th around 4pm during the hour while we were walking around Miracle Hot Springs. It looks like they were trying to get away fast and just grabbed my round black duffle bag with blue embroidered dots. Full of likely utterly useless items for them, but neverless all of my snow and warm winter clothes (blue jacket, white north face pants, cat ear beanie, etc.) which looks daunting and expensive to replace as a college student.
I was wondering if anyone heard or saw anything around that time, or if anyone has seen a duffle bag discarded on the road nearby?
Went first thing in morning, only a couple of others there. Few different spring tubs to choose from each one is a different temperature. Very peaceful
Nice place to visit and spend some quality time with family. However there's a few homeless that stay by the river even though it states you can't camp overnight. Still, gorgeous nonetheless.
PICK UP YOUR TRASH PLEASE. DONT BRING GLASS. ($400 Fine)

Most beautiful place to enjoy healing waters if city people make sure to not bring glass or leave their garbage for the locals to pick up after. Forestry will tear it down if people don't respect it.
Great when the hot tubs aren't covered by the treacherous Kern River. These natural hot springs are hidden just off the old Kern Canyon Rd about 3 miles west of Borel Rd and quite a hike down one of the trails by the huge bolder. Getting down is easy enough, but be healthy enough to hike all the way back up again. These tubs when available are a dream, when clean. Three choices of hot, medium warm, then much cooler. Many cycle through all 3 depending on the time of year. Be aware that some people prefer to go bathing nude, I am one of those people. Natural springs, natural enjoyment. However also be warned that you could also be detained by your federal park rangers and even jailed if they catch you! Ugh! People really, vote! This area is also considered a cruising area, though many straight folks come here also. I always hope to find like minded people here and haven't been disappointed.
