This place is perfect for any kind of visitor. The first time we went, we were reckless hooligans up to our perception altering adventures. Some city kids with the itch to be inundated with nature. Caught fish without effort, rhyme, or reason. Second, as a genuine disconnect and break from it all, the third time as someone just trying to soak in the beauty of it all before it's all gone and dried up. I hope I can take the kiddos here in a few years. Really, there's nothing quite like it. The deafening silence inspires curiosity, lore, and tears. Be nice to this place. Our parks are sacred.
Went to celebrate father’s day with my family. It’s a really nice lake with lots of picnic tables.
All the staff were really nice and were always checking the trash cans and bathrooms.
A bit of hot compare to Henry Cowell state park, that made the boat ride kind of hard to enjoy. But is still a wonderful place to visit with friends and family.
Extremely rude rangers! I was unaware that dogs were not allowed to swim, instead of being nicely informed I was immediately yelled at very intensely. After apologizing and getting them out of the water, I was pursued again only to be yelled at even more for the same thing. Later, I was pursued again and rudely told to leave because my dog was right next to me and my car off leash in an empty parking lot. Very very angry rude people.

Love coming here for fishing... barbecue allowed in designated areas... no during covid regulations tho. Currently as of May 2020 the river is 50% dried up... the litter island in the middle of the river is currently the bank(side of the river) no live bait tho.... only plastics... that's a bummer... but big fish are here... I've seen them with my eyes... big 3ft fish...
Pretty Lake but way too many people right next to you. No outside boats on lake oaks ridiculous ridiculous maybe they should rent boats out. Not sure if due to coronavirus but they need to change their policy
It's really lovely place with boats, kayak rental, fishing and picnic area, clean and friendly. But we were disappointed this Wednesday coming after 1 hour of road and discover that it's closed. There's no schedule here for information. Please post here working hours of this park. Thank you
Place is awesome! Not sure what Barbara Stithem is talking about. Confused with Ben Lomond maybe? Lake is beautiful, can't wait for it to open in the Spring.
