Not friendly and rude. Always denying services or telling us certain people aren’t available that day. What a coincidence that in 2 weeks, we’ve been denied services 4 times. We got there at 4:20pm and they said they weren’t doing inspections because they’re closing… at 5pm! I get it, but the way they spoke to us was not right. My money is as green as any others in this town. We gave them a chance because other co-workers swear by this place. But they aren’t a minority. Im writing based on MY experience here. Not all are rude. There are some employees that are nice but even they look exacerbated. Just today “The inspector didn’t come in today”… again? Do people just not work in Purcellville? Just admit you don’t serve my kind (like other places have told us) so that we can find another place. Y’all need some customer service training.

I was looking for a local place to get an oil change and state inspection. It was easy to request an appointment and they completed the work within the estimated time period (2 hours). Not sure why people in other reviews think that any mechanic anywhere would do something within 20 minutes? That’s not realistic. Just go get a coffee nearby and relax. Also, the front desk staff was very friendly and took the time to explain the work that was done along with any recommendations. I really appreciate not feeling “talked down to” like at other mechanic shops. I left feeling like my car was well taken care of and that it will be easy to do that again. I’ll update this review if I get any significant work done or new tires. Thank you!

If you want a headache, stress, waste of time, energy, or money....then this is the spot for you. I'm a young woman who has limited knowledge on cars and fears being taken advantage of at mechanic shops. This was my first time here will not be back. A week ago they looked at my car and rejected it so I got everything fixed (by someone else) as they told me to. Went back for a retest, and still rejected the car for one of the nitpicks that I had gotten taken care of. This shop told me it got rejected again due to the power steering still leaking all over the place badly and making it sound like an emergency fix. They are rude/unprofessional (Cortney especially) and will nitpick your car for every detail under the sun. Cortney kept pressuring me on the phone into having them take a look at the problem and I declined. She shouted at me that what I had put into my car was "AWFUL!" for it which was a STOP LEAK for the POWER STEERING. I checked the power steering myself and got a second opinion...it was still FULL every time so there was no way it could have been terribly leaking. When I picked my car up for the second time, she questioned if I was angry and to not be upset with her since she didn't inspect it. Went to another local shop and got emissions and inspection done just fine no more than 24 hours after Purcellville Tire and Auto Service had it in their care for the second time....and it PASSED at the other place. Go somewhere else. This place is dramatic and money hungry. I tried them twice...and they still are a flop.

Drove from a different county to get emissions and inspection done. Slowed down by construction a train and cyclists, all out of my control. Called 35 mins before my appointment to let em know id be late. Said theyll find a way to get it done. Got here to be told the inspector left for the day. This place lost me and my family's business today.

I’ve taken my car here multiple times over the past 2 years complaining of road noise. Ive gotten my tires replaced, rotated, and had multiple alignments. Each time they told me nothing was wrong. I take it to AAA not even a month after they tell me nothing is wrong and find out my wheels are bent, rotors, brakes, tires are all messed up. How do you miss that? Thousands of dollars down the drain. Go somewhere else.

Purcellville Tire and Auto got me fixed up with a State Inspection and repairing a slow leak in my tire. They were very up front about the best day to get the work done based on their workload and that helped make my scheduling easier with no surprises. Good job!

I have been coming to this business for many years and they are always friendly and helpful. They make sure to explain any repairs and offer options to save money. Most recently I came to have my AC fixed. The AC repair did not work for more than a few days. When I went back they quickly rectified the situation and made it right. Mistakes can happen but they made sure it was corrected the right way. I would highly recommend Purcellville Tire and Auto.

Brought my truck here for inspection. They failed it because of the LED headlights conversion which it had passed all the inspections for the last 4 years. I asked which law states that the LED headlights agonist the law/ driving safety. They can't answer me, obviously. I called DMV to find out if there is a law that prohibit any car switching LED headlights. And the answer is NO!! I took my car to Hogan and Son nearby which my truck passed it with no problem.

Went here for the first time today and was blown away by how friendly and welcoming the staff is. They we're all amazing! Great prices and great service. They will definitely be my go to shop from now on. Also, Adam is awesome. Very knowledgeable, prorfessional, friendly, and overall a good person.

They said they'd send me a refund via mail for my tires, but never did. Edit: Thanks for the response. I have adjusted the ratings based off your response. The Techs did try to find an alternate tire of choice, for which I am grateful.

Purcellville Tire gave me a quote at about half the price of the other tire shop in town to mount some new tires for me. I was warned up front that it might take a day for them to get to it, but less than an hour later they called to tell me they'd gotten it done. Outstanding value and customer service

I have been taking all my vehicles to Purcellville Tire and Auto for at least 20 years. The service, value and competency are the greatest, I can't say enough good things about Donnie and his crew. An auto mechanic you can completely trust, now I believe that is an exception in this day and age.

We've been taking our car here for years and Pville Tire & Auto has always been incredibly trustworthy (truthfully tell what you actually need to have done, and what can wait). The work is always done quickly, correctly and at a reasonable price.

Went in because I had a slow leak in my tire but waited for a couple months because I just “knew” I needed all 4 new tires. I measured the wear with a penny but only checked the outside part I could reach. Anyway, I also knew I needed an alignment, had never had one since I bought the car and I live on back roads. In short, I told them I’d need all this and maybe more. They even preordered all 4 tires because I just knew it was that kinda visit... I left there with original tires, one patched & plugged, alignment, and an oil change - all well under $250... They could’ve taken the opportunity to up sell me and they were 100% honest! So happy to have this experience!! Highly recommended!!!! Thank you pville tire and auto!!!

Lovely people here. My very pregnant sister was stuck with a flat tire around the corner from Purcellville T&A and was not able to put on her spare. I gave them a call and within minutes they sent someone over and got her back on the road with her kids. Thank you so much for helping.

I went to Purcellville Tire and Auto to get my car inspected. Because it was the end of the month, there was a looong wait. (These guys are popular!) The very nice ladies at the front desk told me about the wait and suggested several other places around Purcellville where I might get my car inspected faster, even though these place were competitors. I have had PT&A work on family cars before and have always been satisfied with the results.

Don't expect low profile tire warranties to ever be honored here. They know we live near rough roads and that's the default claim. Bought 3 low profile tires there in a year and a half- one of them lasted 6 months and about 1200 miles. They immediately claimed I hit a pot hole-no questions asked. Drove the car from Dulles to Germantown- all highway, no pot holes. Tire was fine when I started the trip.

I've given these guys several tries over the years, and I can't understand why everyone likes them so much. I've been at least four times, and I've never left satisfied. You can just about guarantee they'll find some inane reason to fail your state inspection, and won't ever fix it on the spot. They'll fail you, and make you come back another day to fix and reinspect. And twice now, I've had my car reinspected at other places without doing ANYTHING, and had the vehicle passed! Plus you'll wait longer there than anywhere else, because they're always slammed with hour long wait times. The ONLY reason to ever go there is because they're the only place in Pville to get an emissions test. -And it's not even worth it to go there for that anymore. Never again. I'll be driving to Leesburg from now on.

Though Purcellville is no longer a small town, this is your typical small-town repair shop, where they know your name and your vehicle, they give you timely, complete--and HONEST--service every time, and they consult you before doing any work on your vehicle that you didn't order when you left it with them. The only surprises I've seen on my bill in 10 years with these folks have been charges smaller than the initial estimate.

Clean, comfortable customer waiting area. No need to make the trek to Arlington for dealer service. They flushed the brake system, rotated tires, changed the oil and performed state inspection, while I waited (appointment required). Compared to the dealer service package their invoice was about half. They never attempt to up-sell service that is unnecessary.

Whew. First off, i dont lose my cool often, so i am sorry to the staff for being rude. However, i arrived at this location, to get an emissions inspection, and no cars were being seen, so i assumed it would be done quickly. For 15-20 minutes no one else was there and my car was not driven into the garage. Then 2 more people showed up, they were seen immediately. I waited 1hour and 15minutes. I have 3 young kids that were with me and we had to leave without getting inspection done. When i asked for my keys, they tried to explain that the other people had had appointments... great, but for 20 minutes with no one there they couldn't get my car done.... idk moral of this review is to get an appointment or youre going to wait forever for something that takes 15 minutes.

We have had consistently solid experiences at PT&A. Most experiences have been excellent - and we know that we can count on them to do the work and do it at a fair price. If something does not work out as we expect - they have always been very good about making it right. They are a local business that cares about their customers.

This place is hit or miss. We have been going there for 15 years and have had a variety of experiences. When my daughters car was brought in I was told that all the hoses for the air conditioner were disconnected and dragging the ground. I picked up the car to return it to the dealer instead of having Purcellville Tire and auto do it and I could not see any hoses dragging the ground. The air conditioner worked fine and the dealer said there was nothing wrong with it. In other instances they did a fine job but sometimes their prices are high. They were very helpful when my daughter got stuck and needed a tow but it took a few days just to get the parts. There are other repair shops in town but they are no better then this one and not as convenient.

We bought new tires for my son's car there three weeks ago. With less than 400 miles on them, one of the tires had a blow-out. We returned the tire and were told that the tire was defective from the manufacturer. They were not apologetic nor were they willing to help make the refund and process easy. We will not go back.

I recently had tires put on from their facility. It was Quick, Easy and they were actually the cheapest in town for tires. They were willing to work with me and were very patient as I had to get a new Wheel as well... Will continue to use them!

I recommend Purcellville Tire and Auto Service to anyone in need of a honest and trustworthy repair shop. I have had maintenance and several repairs done at the shop and feel their work is "Top Notch". The technicians are knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to answer any questions that you may have. I have utilized the sevices of Purcellville Tire and Auto for approximately two years. I have been satisfied with the service until today. In spite of my many efforts to alert them that I needed the service performed within a day, the service was not even started in a day and nobody contacted me to let me know that it would take longer than expected. I understand that it is difficult to predict the work load and the time that it would take to fix a vehicle and I do not have any complaints about the mechanics and their performance. I could have rented a car or made arrangements if I knew that the car was not going to be ready. However, when the staff member awnsering the call tells me that I have two choices (leave it or pick it up) without any effort to apologize, give me an explanation for the delay or giving me an idea of the time needed for the service, I feel the need to alert others of a customer service problem. As a small business owner, I understand the need for good customer support. Thus, today I called Purceville Tire and Auto again and expained my perspective without asking for anything (I took my vehicle somewhere else last night). At this time, I was told that I was free to use another garage that may better meet my needs. I would undertand the reaction if I have been impolite or disrepectul during my phone call, but quite the contrary. A recognition of my suggestion to alert people when there is a delay in service (seems easy and obvious to me), would have been enough for me since I did not request anything else. Instead, the rude and defensive tone taken by the lady on the phone made sure that I follow her obvious recommendation - find another garage. I am sure that Purcellville Tire and Auto do not need my business. That was very clear.
