Got a recommendation from a friend to go to Rick's after moving to the area. Trustworthy mechanics. They don't try to find things wrong with your car. Bring cash. They charge around 2% for credit card processing which is understandable.

They are the best. They care about their customers and they do a great job. There prices are reasonable.

The staff there is great. They squeezed me in for a brake job and state inspection. They are honest and fair priced

Rick's Tire & Auto is our "go to" mechanic shop. We've been customers for years and they never disappoint. The staff are great and the pricing fair. We recently took our vehicle to another shop for our free tire rotation and they tried to "up-sell" us with repairs in excess of $1,000! Rick's checked out our vehicle, said it was safe to drive and no repairs were needed. We trust Rick's and highly recommend!

Bottom line up front, I've never had a more honest mechanic shop in my life.

I've used Ricks for 10+ years, and my brother has for 15+ years. Multiple times other shops have tried to inflate issues to make money on problems that didn't exist, or said they have performed services they have not, only for Rick's to call them (Firestone) out on BS quotes and fix our vehicles at an honest price. The only issue we had was addressed immediately. We had tires rotated and the mechanic didn't balance the tires, and Rick apologized and told my wife to bring our car back at our earliest convenience, and he would make sure it was taken care of promptly. Once my wife arrived, Rick called the mechanic that did the work to the front and politely and with frustration informed the mechanic, "In case you didn't get the memo, every time we rotate tires, it includes balancing. I think you owe Mrs. (last name) an apology for the time she wasted making a second trip that she shouldn't have had to make. As soon as a lift is available, you'll fix this issue. Is that clear?" I believe the next time we came to the shop they discounted the work as an apology for the previous oversight. I recently bought a truck online and I had 7 days to return it. Rick's thoroughly inspected the truck and called me with clear empathy in their voice because they had to give me bad news. The truck is a high-end luxury truck, and they liked the truck, but they said basically it's a gorgeous bucket of rust that had far more rust on the undercarriage than a 2020 model should have, and I should return it immediately.

I called up Rick's Tire & Auto for an engine swap after Meadowbridge Auto recommended them. I spoke to Alan and from beginning to end the experience was outstanding. Their mechanic Todd did an engine swap on my 2001 Honda Prelude, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Alan's communication was clear and consistent, always keeping me updated on where things stood and what to expect next. I never had to chase Alan down for info—Alan was proactive and professional the whole way through.

As for the work itself, the swap was done flawlessly. You can tell their mechanic Todd knows his stuff—he took the time to do everything right, and the Prelude is running better than it has in years. No shortcuts, no BS, just clean, quality work.

What really stood out was Alan's customer service. Everyone at Rick's treats you with respect, answered every question I had, and genuinely cared that I was happy with the outcome. It’s rare to find someone and someplace who combines great work with great communication, but Alan does both.

If you need an engine swap or major mechanical work—especially on a Honda—I highly recommend to call Alan and have Todd work on your Honda.Honest, skilled, and reliable. Couldn’t ask for more.

This is my second time utilizing Rick’s services. I am so grateful for them I could literally cry! My car needed a new battery and other work… everyone was so helpful, friendly and so fast. I will always recommend them and appreciate the whole team for all they do.

It's not often when you get quoted one price for services rendered , and then you get a lower price when it's picked up . It's usually the opposite. I wish I had switched from my other 15 years of Service RIP OFF, ( BatSerCenter) sooner. I will be using RICK'S Tire and Auto for now on out . For everything . You have to TRUST who is working on your Vehicles . Make the switch today . And begin again with experience and reliability .

I took my car there year or so ago and wasn’t happy. I wasn’t told he didn’t have diagnostic machine and he charged more to diagnose it than dealership. $150 dealership charges $99 and they have machine to diagnose problems. They brought it to me bc at the time I couldn’t drive. My grandson came to test drive it and found a Bolt laying upside down on top of engine after he got back and something else I don’t remember was wrong. Rick changed transmission fluid for free for not fixing it or find the problem. I wouldn’t go there again bc no diagnostic machine and high diagnostic fee. Maybe ok for general maintenance like oil change etc but open hood and check to make sure things r where they should be and tops on securely.

I was at work and was informed that my tire was completely flat. I found out that the tire had a slow leak and would continue to lose air. I called Rick’s, however, I wasn’t in a position to drive my car to their shop. Dawson came to my job, and picked up my car to fix at their shop. Wasn’t gone for long, and my tire was completely fixed. Quick and awesome service!!

It's a challenge to find a good mechanic who is honest and has reasonable prices. And when you do many others have found it too. Rick's is such a place. Call for an appointment because they are very busy.

I could write a sonnet. I truly cannot fully articulate my appreciation for this place! The price transparency, the prompt service time, etc… all wonderful. This is big business expertise with small business integrity. TAKE YOUR CAR HERE

They were very courteous and even provided bags to keep my take-off tires from dirtying my car. That said, 2.5 hours wait time for 4x mount and balance with an appointment is a little ridiculous for the price ($190). Additionally, they test drove my car for no reason. I get that it's a fun car, and I'd do the same if the customer OK'd it, but it's unnecessary and I've never had a shop take my car for a 5+ mile spin after getting tires mounted. I also suspect their tire machine needs new jaw protectors, since they left several nice marks of chipped paint on my wheels. Again nice folks and probably solid value if you're local, but I drove 30 minutes expecting a bit more.

We were headed home to NJ from Williamsburg when we hit something on the highway not even an hour into the drive. We got a flat and needed a tow. We found Rick’s on google and called them to ask about a tire while we waited for the tow. They ordered it for us and told us it would be available in a few hours. When we arrived about an hour later, they were en route to get the tire and got us back on the road in no time. Superior service and super nice people. THANK YOU!!

I have had many great experiences with this shop but recently they really helped me out. I had inspection and new tires from them about a month ago but still had this unusual knocking sounds in the rear that was starting to get louder. I was supposed to take a long trip on a Thursday and called them Tuesday morning asking if they could look at it. When I came by the mechanic came out heard the noise and said I need to get it on the lift to have a better look. About 20 minutes later he said after taking the tires and brakes off he determined it was the rear bearing. They said because you are heading on a long trip we can order the part for tomorrow and squeeze you in. The price was very reasonable so we scheduled the repair. Everything was done by end of day the next day. I was able to make the 1400 mile trip out and back to Tennessee to surprise my brother for his 40th birthday and the car drove beautifully. I don’t usually like taking the car in for something I can’t determine the issue as it feels like you could get charged for almost anything, but these guys were right on target with the fix. I don’t think you can really ask for better service and honesty, glad to have this shop just down the road from my neighborhood.

Thank Goodness I found Ricks Auto and Tire!! Not only did they provide phenomenal customer service, they also treated me with the utmost respect! I am a female and have found that when dealing with auto shops I usually get taken advantage of for my lack of vehicle knowledge when it comes to repairs. This is the first time I didn’t feel that way!! Rick was truly accommodating, they saw me right away and didn’t high ball me!! I have found my new Mechanic!! Ricks Tire and Auto is absolutely hands down one of the best shops I've ever had my car worked on. Reasonably priced, fast, communicative, and high quality work. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle to them for all of your automotive repair needs.

Woke up to a tire losing air, and needed my vehicle for running around. Called multiple shops and they all were busy and wouldn’t be able to get to it without me leaving it for the day. Rick has tire guys on hand and assured me he could have me in and out quickly. Brought my vehicle in, and even though they were quite busy I was out the door just as he said. Cost was only $30 for the patch which was a great bonus. I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them.

I used Ricks for the first time to have repairs made on my GMC Sierra today. I am very pleased with the quality of work. They are very friendly,knowledgeable and honest. I will definitely spread the word and return for all my vehicles repairs.

Rick's has always been a good establishment for me and my family. Prices are always fair and there have been times when they have reviewed an item and for one reason or another we have been told "No Charge". We are new to the area, and have tried several garages. After finally getting around to Rick's, I don't think we will be trying any others - wish we had started here and saved the trouble. We had a headlight out, and a tough schedule for getting it repaired. These guys not only fit us in around our schedule, but did great work and charged a very (incredibly) reasonable price. Only good experiences with the Watts family and their business so far. They were able to squeeze me in and fix my Jeep on one of their busiest days when I was in a time crunch. (A holiday weekend too!) Definitely will be getting my vehicles serviced by them in the future.

Scott and the crew at Ricks did an excellent job installing the exhaust on my sons 2004 Mustang. They kept me informed throughout and did a fantastic job! Their prices were fair and the quality was superb. It’s not often you find a trustworthy and dependable shop but Ricks is it. I will definitely be back and highly recommend!
