Very professional, friendly, and helpful. Associate Daniel was so courteous and helpful and assisted me with all of my vehicle needs . He informed me of how to schedule appointments online, as well as as assisted me with other services. I am beyond grateful that I found S&M and will HIGHLY recommend them. They did excellent work on my vehicle, and the customer service was TOP TIER, and the prices are affordable THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

For the past couple of years I have dealt with a parasitic battery drain that even Kia couldn't diagnose. I was just told that it was my battery and my alternator which were both replaced. It was a really tough fix, and I had several trail and error visits but S&M auto worked on it tirelessly until it was finally fixed. Each time I worked with them, they got me in right away and worked quickly. Here we are in January and my car starts every time!

Top notch ran place.. very very very well ran just from the little time I was there I would tell .. very very polite people.. I would 100% take my car here all day .. Bobby helped me out very very nice guy.. if your in the area check them out 10/10 place … ALSOOOO BIG THING IT IS VERY VERY ORGANIZED AND HELP REALLY CLEAN!!!

S&M was recommended to me as a good place to go for a vehicle inspection. I'd been putting my inspection off as I figured it'd be a headache. My inspection was done in less than 20 minutes for a really good price. I'll definitely be back.

I am continually impressed with the level of communication, professionalism, and quality of work done at S&M Auto Repair. Dwayne, Mark, and all the staff at S&M really are unparalleled in the level of care and service that they provide to their customers. 5 out of 5 stars! Within the last couple months I have had a few thousand dollars of work done on my older vehicle at S&M and it has all stood the test of time and hard driving. The work was completed efficiently in the time frame quoted and for the work order cost quoted. I trust my life and vehicle to these mechanics when they do work on my vehicle and they really show that they value that and understand the importance of the work they do for people. I have been to many other shops in the Richmond area over the lifespan of my vehicle (that has nearly 170,000 miles) and while some other shops may save you a few dollars, the stress and anxiety associated with their below par service and communication simply isn’t worth it! I will continue to be a loyal customer to S&M Auto and will refer my network to them for trustworthy and reliable auto repair.

Mike’s awesome, honest guy that tells you straight. Had to get a big project done on my trucks HVAC unit and also a bearing in my wheel. He did all that perfectly and let me know about a few other issues. Good people

Mike, Dewayne and the rest of the team are great, very professional and respectful. Everyone I have spoken with is always willing to help and are very polite and well spoken. I go past about 16 other auto repair shops to go to theirs because they are reliable, fair, and most of all they have INTEGRITY. I highly recommend S&M to all my friends and family.

100% disgusted. Been going to these guys for some years, but that stops today. Never had problems with Mike, today due to Dwayne’s lack of customer service they lost a faithful customer. Which I KNOW he doesn’t care, but he should. I called after my husband was charged $120 for a check engine light. Since this is done as a courtesy at many places we had no idea of the cost and was not told of the cost prior. I asked Dwayne if he told my husband what it would cost when he called to schedule his inspection and he flat out said “I don’t believe I did….” Not sure how difficult it would’ve been to do that. My husband surely would not have had them do it had he’d known it was $120. I called to speak about it because my husband is not going to speak up when something is wrong. Dwayne’s reply to me was “nobody has ever complained before” wow. Great customer service. Great way to run a business in 2022. Smh If nobody ever complained before, maybe you made “them” aware of the price upfront? I should not be surprised at this though…..make sure if you use them to ASK QUESTIONS and never agree to the “smallest” service without ASKING

Continue to use these guys due to good work, fair prices and friendly attitude when dealing with customers. I have recommended them to a lot of people. Will continue to go there.I went for inspection and though they did find something, I was impressed on how thoroughly they inspected the car. They found a problem and it could have been serious. I needed to wait for things to be done. Nice waiting room. I recommend them. They even let you bring in oil, etc to let you save a little money.

Highly recommended!!! An older car needed some TLC. It required maintenance that was above the skills of its owner. Molding repair, windshield leak, cloudy headlights and driver seat no longer would recline in either direction. I was very pleased with Mike's ongoing communication and updates. All work was completed to my satisfaction. This is the only business my old car has been to who has extremely knowledgeable and professional service technicians. Thank you so much!!

This is a very nice shop that does excellent quality work. This shop is staffed with talented TECHNICIANS not mechanics. When I drive away after having my car being serviced I feel confident about the work. They’re always honest about what I need and never try to sell me on “flushes and unnecessary services” that don’t benefit the performance of my car. And to go further, I’ve had our GMC Yukon and VW GTI both serviced there and the work was equally excellent on both. If you want excellent work and honest guys take your vehicle here. You will not disappointed.

Honest and very helpful people that saved me a lot of money, and assisted even locating a part for me from a salvage yard. Mike and the employees there care about their customers and don't just see us as dollar signs. Will be back when my Honda needs repairs.

Very professional. Went in for a state inspection, they immediately recieved my vehicle and had me in and out in around 30 minutes. No hidden costs, no suggestions like many other places. These guys are great and I highly recommend them.

We were fortunate enough to have gotten a recommendation for S&M Auto some years back by a satisfied customer. We have had some problems with repairs done in the past with other service centers in the Mechanicsville area, BUT NOT HERE!!!!
