My daughter's vehicle recently needed exhaust work done. Virgil was very honest and gave me some options for the repair. Excellent work. Glad I found this location.
Very honest man, quick and clean. Would take every car I have to him if it weren't for the warranty. Much better than the local dealerships, who try to rob you every chance they get.
He walked around my truck with me and went over every possible option with what I was wanting to do. Its hard to find a guy that will listen to you and still do good work. I believe he said he's been doing it over 40 years and it shows.
I walked in and only found one hunchback smoking a cigarette. There was no functional reception desk. They wouldn't make a solid appointment. Instead they told me to come back in a couple days. I decided not to work with him and do us somewhere else.
Virgil is extremely knowledgeable and even gave me some pointers in case I wanted to do it myself
Which I did. But the last time he fixed something in less than five minutes and almost charged nothing.
BEST EXHAUST SHOP AROUND
I called them today, spoke with Virgil on the phone, explained I had my flex pipe weld break and needed a new one. He said give me an hour and come on by. I did. They fixed it, and the other flex pipe too so I wouldn't have any future issues. Didn't charge me an arm and a leg like most places would and got the job done quick. Wish I would have found them before I went to another local shop for other work. These guys are now my go for anything exhaust related. Virgil has been doing exhausts for 50 years and it shows. Great people, great prices, great work. As a car guy myself, I can sniff out the BS pretty quick when someone tries to give me the run around or upsell me something. These guys are the real deal and have a customer for life after one small job. Thanks again guys!
Had my exhaust completely redone. Amazing work. Very fast and reliable. The mechanics are extremely knowledgeable. Will absolutely be returning for future repairs.
I had written an earlier review (see below) but I want to emphasize once again just how awesome these guys are.
I took another vehicle into the shop (actually had it towed) that I had loaned to a family member for over 10 months. This vehicle had no maintenance on it in the entire time it was borrowed so needless to say between the linkage, water pump, serpentine belt, rotors, tires, axle and other things I figured IF I was lucky enough to get it repaired it would take at least a month (I had no appointment or gave any prior notice that I was bringing it) and figured that between the parts and repairs I was facing at least $1000 to $1500 but the next day the linkage and H2O pump were fixed for a minimal amount of labor. I asked them to repair the rest and told them there was no rush bc I didn’t know how long it would take me to work up enough $ to cover everything. They called me gave me a price including parts and labor and told me they could have it done in less than a week. WOW!!!! What can be said about the speed and the low cost of the labor at this place? Nothing except OUTSTANDING! Virgil’s is the place to have any and nearly all repairs done. I can’t praise them enough. They are always so nice, respectful and always make you feel welcomed. Thanks guys and a very special thank you to Emanuel, the super mechanic that worked on both my vehicle. You all will ALWAYS have my business and anyone I know that has any issues with a vehicle in need of repair. 😊
Took vehicle in to replace front brake pads. They had work completed in less than 30 minutes. They even drove my car to make sure that it was safe for me to drive before allowing me to drive it.
I haven’t had this great type of service in many years!!! AND the prices are really affordable and much cheaper than other area garages. You MUST give them a call!!! I can’t explain how great these guys were, very polite, cheap BUT ALSO concerned for their customers safety. I would have given 10 stars but it wasn’t an option.
I love these guys! Their pricing is the best around and they are very honest and don't try to upsell you or pressure you to do stuff you don't need on your car. My exhaust had completely unhinged itself and was broken while driving on Lee Hwy. The car sounded like it was going to explode. My AC also didn't work. I found this place after going to Gibson auto who had told me it was going to be 500 JUST TO DIAGNOSE the problem! Virgil's FIXED the problem for 230!! Exhaust fixed and sounds great and they recharged and and flushed my AC and checked it for leaks. AC works great now!!! They also didn't charge me for a quote on my busted door handle. I have since moved and plan on driving over an hour back to Bristol just for this place! Thank you so much!
It was great! I had a rattle in my exhaust and they found it for me and didn't even charge me! I offered to give them some $$ but they wouldn't take it!
Car sounds great,these guys are the best,Virginia has over 40 yrs. Experience and is the best custom exhaust man I've been around in my 55 yrs. Referring everyone there for there exhaust and muffler work .
These guys done a mid muffler delete and quad tips on my new 392 Challenger. Outstanding work. Super nice guys. Highly recommend. Will be a return customer!
Pulled in with our little red car. Had a new catalytic converter put on with a piece of straight pipe 188 miles from home. Did a great job in a great time with a great price...

Virgil and his staff do excellent work on vehicles. He will give you a time to drop your car off, and a time to pick it back up. Prices and fees are standard for the area, if not better. Excellent work.
