My insurance company dispatched them to me to have my car towed for repairs. Pleased that the man was able to come an hour ahead of the estimated arrival time provided by my insurance company. Quick and easy process, no complaints. Loaded up my car and was at the shop in no time.
They say you can't judge a book by it's cover, and this old saying is never more true when it comes to my dealings with Absolute Towing.... My son's car was towed due to a huge mistake by his apartment complex. Yes, I was met with gruff combative attitudes, not wanting to allow us to look at the vehicle. Then a man came out from an office with an even bigger attitude (the owner), so I pleaded my case to him. He allowed only myself to look at the car, which was absolutely fine, so that put my mind at ease.... The one thing I DID DO was to NOT BE DISRESPECTFUL or ARGUMENTATIVE...... You have to keep in mind they did a job they were called to do, that they aren't just driving around trying to piss people off. I thanked the owner, because I know he didn't have to permit my request, saying I understood his guarded attitude because probably 99% of their customers come in pissed off. His statement after that sums up a lot of the bad ratings - "Nobody is happy when they have to go see the tow man".... Dealing with the public in that line of work will harden one's soul. Make no bones about it, he's a no bullshit, non compromising businessman that puts up with attitudes and problems on a daily basis. He's not warm and fuzzy, so check your feelings at the door... and I'm good with that. It all worked out in the end for my son and returned to Absolute Towing to pick up his car, even chatting with the dispatcher for a few minutes...... PSA here --- Remember WHY you are there, because it's probably your own fault. Humility and respect will go a long way in a situation like this. ----
These people suck, crooks, criminals, just robbing you blindly. If you are running a trash business you need trash trucks, not tow trucks. Awful, awful service.
This company is horrible. Not only do they take forever, it has rude employees and the owner himself is rude. When you try to give him feedback on his employees, he doesn't care. He LITERALLY tells you that he doesn't care and to take your business elsewhere. You can do better.
I called Geico at 3:00 pm because, as I was exiting KedPlasma on Broad River Road, I noticed my passenger rear tire was flat. A Representative guaranteed me that they would get to me no later than 60 minutes from the moment we ended our call, which was at 3:15 pm. At 4:10 pm, I received a text from Absolute Towing that they would be an additional 44 minutes. The driver of truck #45 was short and rude from the moment he showed up at 4:45 pm. I asked him why it took him one a half hours, to which he very rudely replied, "You act like you're the only car that needs service." I then asked him "did you not get the text that I was guaranteed by Geico to have you there within 60 minutes, and he, with an aggravated and abrasive vocal tone replied, "I'm just a driver, now do you want me to change your tire or not? He did not tell me hello when he first showed up, in fact, the only words that came out of his mouth were short and rude. He would not look me in the eyes, and seemed disgusted that he was having to help me in any way. Then, when he finished putting the donut on, he forcefully threw my tire in the trunk and walked off without saying a single word. I asked him for his name, and he refused to give it to me. I called Absolute Towing to advise them his behavior was altogether unacceptable, and the Owner, who answered the phone, basically told me "I own the company, and I'm not going to do anything about it." I would encourage you to do your business elsewhere, unless decent customer service is not of importance to you. His drivers have zero customer service skills, and, furthermore, do not want to work at all. This company should not be in business!
very rude workers, -100/10 for customer service. they tried to add extra fees for my friend’s care for no reason, saying “if you don’t come get it by 7, then it’s another 50” on top of the 215 they were already trying to charge her when our property manager had already stated that the price was 175. my friend also told them she had money in her car to give them and they wouldn’t allow her to get her money to pay them. almost had to call the cops on them!
Extremely rude and disrespectful employees. If you are ever towed by them just know they trying to get money anyway possible and won’t treat you with any type of decency
Terrible service, owned & operated by Terrible & very rude ppl. They stole jewelry and shoes out of my car. Do your research on this business and you will find all you need to know.
They damaged my car and lied to me about what paperwork I needed so I had to drive two hours to them to not be able to get my car out. Poorly managed and a group of liars.
We are just towed in front of our eyes. We parked our car in our regular place in the apartment. Then we got a notification on our phone about the car is moving. When we arrived the parking lot, we saw that they are towing the car. We told them that we could move our car by ourselves. But he said we need to bring $150 to rescue the car. If we do not bring cash, we would get the car tomorrow for $250. All these stuff happened at 9 pm. He treated us with utmost disrespect. They are just hunting for money. Nothing else. The company is terrible.
Thieves they took my car from my apartment complex that I just bought at 9 PM on a Saturday. My apartment doesn’t open till Monday when I went to go get my epilepsy medication. The dude was so rude I’m so upset I can’t even think clearly and then, when the car that I was driving to go get the other car crank the dude who took his sweet time getting back told me that he was going to charge me $500 for towing my car. Hes an old senile white man who should be fired immediately! I was having a medical emergency and this awful man made it way worse
Disgusting people and Terrible service. They charged me $150 the first time to get it out, then charged me $250 the second time to get it out, and it was towed from the same location, and then laughed about it. Seek towing services elsewhere this company is extremly unprofessional, the big front desk lady and manager are terrible, I will make sure to not stay anywhere that uses their services.
I’ve used Absolute twice now as apart of Geico’s roadside assistance and I’ve NEVER been disappointed. They show up faster than the estimated pick up, the drivers have been cool cucumbers whether I was crying after an accident or just frustrated with the situation. Tonight they took the cake - estimated arrival was AN HOUR and they showed up in 5 minutes. That means less time spent standing in a parking lot and more time safe at home. LOVE love Absolute!
This company randomly selected cars from the parking lot to be towed. There were several cars parked in the parking lot and you chose only certain people cars. Did you use your camera to see who is driving? Why not tow all of the cars? They only want cash money only. Y’all are scammers and trolling businesses. You need to be reported.
If I could give this place negative star reviews, I absolutely would! They towed my car out of my apartment at 2 in the morning on a school day and when I went to pick it up they did it was "because I parked outside the lines". It was still within the spot and other students did it as well but out off all of them I was the one who got towed. They lady at the desk was eating a messy salad on my receipts and I had to pay 150$ in cash to pick it up. Worst customer service EVER. This place scammed me out of my money for a photoshopped picture and was rude to me as soon as I came in.
Racist company, was told to pay $300 but when i came they brought it up to $550 the same day. The manager of the company was rude from the beginning telling us that we can’t read and that we’re dumb. This company only cares about money and are not professional at all. Will be taking them to civil court.
Horrible!! I was broken down and explained the issue to the driver when he got to me. He jumped the vehicle and told me to get where I needed to go and he hoped I would make it. Then he drove off leaving me there. Guess what - the same problem happened again. He was rude and not helpful.
My truck mirror was bent. Paint is chip idk from what but didn't have that before. When I came to pick up my vehicle front desk was very friendly. Also they left my vehicle unlocked like they wanted some to take something so they can say we are not responsible..
I called to asked them if they had my car and told them that I stay at the complex they towed my car from and they didn't care and was rude and dismissive. I told them I just got the car and I'm in a wheelchair, they gave no care and didn't try to help me. I called the office and they kept putting them on hold. If you value your customers, don't hire them to look over your lot to tow cars. They pulled my bumper off and tried to gaslighting me. Reading all the comments I know they not lying because of what I have experienced plus my friends. They know they can get away with it.
The lady at the front desk was extremely rude and laughed as i asked her questions about the fees necessary for the vehicle to be removed from the lot . She stated she was doing several other things and she didn’t have time to deal with people who come in to “ run their mouth “ when I was trying to ask about the towing . I’ve never had my vehicle towed before and I was confused about it what the rules were and she was not pleasant about answering questions . The young lady said either I can pay or leave and refused to give her name . The lady was white old and had blonde hair and apparently had never been trained to work in customer service .
This is quite possibly the worst customer service that we have ever experienced. My mothers car was towed, despite given permission by our apartments front office to park in handicap (which she has a tag for). After the office took care of the issue and ensured we had permission and would not be charged for the towing fee, we went to Absolute Towing to pick her car up. I dropped my mother off by the front door, due to her being handicap and having trouble walking. When she gets in the office, a man comes out the door and begins screaming at me for blocking the gate, which I was unaware of. He then proceeds to cuss my mother out saying that she is a liar and isn’t handicap, in disrespectful words I refuse to repeat in this review. This is a very unprofessional business and they seem to take pride in degrading their customers. If I could give 0 stars I would, unfortunately, that is not an option.
Had car picked up at home , Russell was the one who came to pick up car, he was professional, courteous and took care of my car. I was impressed with the way he took care of my car as it is special to me and he was helpful to me in telling me what he was doing .I would use them again and would request Russell again if he was free to come. Professional and courteous
My insurance dispatched them after having a tire go flat on me in west Columbia. After hanging up with my insurance they called to let me know he was on his way. They arrived within 5 mins. I sadly did not catch the guys name but he was very polite and friendly. He shared that he was having a bad day too (I will not share his personal business) but he was not having a good day but he was still very polite and professional. He had my tire changed out in about 15 mins and I was on my way. Very nice and fast! Thanks again!
My car was towed last week by Absolute Towing (my fault, I was parked illegally). When I called them to confirm they had my car, they were kind and professional. After I picked up the car, I found an issue and had to call them back to discuss. I ultimately spoke with the owner and he did what was needed to make things right. Very happy with how things turned out.
They told me it would be 150 dollars to reclaim my car. When I got there I was greeted in a extremely rude manor to only be told I needed more money to claim my car. By far the worst company I’ve had contact with. Either get a card reader or better employees!
Thieves. These people will rip you off.
An employee didn't want let me get my fifteen passenger van outta there after an accident. Of course, the more time it stays, the more they'll charge you. I had to pay 165 dollars out of pocket. My van had been there for less than two hours. The employee affirmed that I couldn't get my van out under the pretense that it was not drivable. He wasn't being completely truthful, though. It isn't drivable, but I CAN and have the right to get it outta there as my husband did. He "drove" it to the streets and parked it somewhere else until a friend came and drove it all the 15 miles back to his house and then, a few days later, to the body shop where it's getting fixed. Stand up for your rights. Thieves will always try to steal from you.
My insurance company dispatched them to me. The driver told me they were not suppose to transport customers. In route, the customers nearly got us into a collision on the interstate. I safely made it to destination and was Thankful. I hope I never need to use this service again.
My experience with this company has been pretty good! Unfortunately, we've had to use them quite a few times since this past Thanksgiving!!! Mainly for mine & my younger daughter's vehicle...through our insurance company! The latest time was for an accident my mom was in about 3 days ago. When we went to pay for the tow and overnight storage fees, we sensed a little bit of impatience from one particular person in their office, but overall, we had a pleasant experience! Especially from one of the tow truck drivers! He was so kind and explained a lot of what he thought & heard had happened with the accident and what was going on with my mom's vehicle...In my opinion, Absolute Towing is a decent company! 😊
