On Friday night, I broke down on I-26 with my son. My son has ALS and is unable to transfer from his power wheel chair into a regular vehicle. I called SDR to see if they could help get us safely out of the interstate. Having identified my problem as a bad alternator, they were able to charge my battery enough to get me safely to an Advance Auto. They followed us to ensure our safe arrival and were amazing humans. I’d highly recommend their services!

This is my opinion solely based on how one of their drivers cut me off on the highway. If they have drivers that don't care how they drive on the road, do you think they'll care how they'll handle your vehicle if you need towing assistance.
They had some goons waiting in IHOP and towed my friends' cars. These lowlifes charged them over $200 in cash to get the cars back.
I also had a bad encounter with some drivers. Not sure why they feel the need to be scum of the Earth and rip people off like they do.
Rip offs and thieves. Wanted to charge $250 for a tow just for hooking up before asking where it was going and giving a price. Absolute scam artist. Don't use their tow service.
Driver was a nice guy, they were a little on the expensive side, but the service was nice, except they broke a part on my truck, and I didn’t get even a discount. Paid $375 for piggybacking 1 truck, and the part they broke costs about $200. I should’ve gotten at least a $100 dollar discount
I called today for service, the dispatcher listened to my instructions and the driver called to confirm all the information. Everyone was clear with communication and the service provided was perfectly executed. I am a business owner in Columbia and we will be using SDR exclusively for any and all towing in the future!

I got in a car accident on Augusta rd and TJ came out to help move my car off the sidewalk. He was so amazing and definitely made a horrible day way better!
I was stranded on I 20 in my mother's vehicle. When Josh arrived he was so nice, he was worried about my mother's and I safety. He walked my mother back to the drive side of the truck and held the door for her, on a very busy interstate.
Before he started get her car on the roll back. We stayed to make sure he was safe. We will be recommending this towing company to anyone that needs a tow. Had great service. Thanks again.
Very quick and responsive when it's needed most. Easygoing staff with a customer service approach that's not customary in this type of business. It is a bit $ but as always you pay for what you get. These days it's just refreshing, some things are worth the extra dollar.👍
The driver Chris was very nice to me he seems to be a people person. My truck left me in a bad situation, and it took him little while to find me, but thank God he did. Mr.Chris got hook me up and brought on,and I must say we had good conversation on the way. Thanks Chris great job.

My car was towed on a Saturday night from IHOP by this company. I called as soon as they opened Sunday morning. They gave me the run around for hours about when I could pick up my car. I would call to find out when, they would say, call back in the next 2 hours. Rinse and repeat. They told me there was no one on the lot that could release my car to me. After it being mid-day on a Sunday, we finally just went to the location on hwy 1/Augusta Hwy and had to threaten to call the police. Magically, someone named Chris showed up 20 mins later to release my vehicle (after paying them of course). The only reason we could think that they wouldn’t give my car back that day is that maybe they wanted to charge another overnight fee? Not sure. This company is an absolute joke.
I would give one star less if I could. The city of Columbia only charges $50 for towing. They charged me $300. Don't park at IHOP on Assembly ST. Even when your a customer here with a receipt your car can be towed. They also say they are open 24 hrs they are not, had to wait until 8:00am, everyone here is miserable with tons of attitude, if you feel like dealing with people don't care and don't help, call them. They place is deplorable and a scam. I'd rather push my car somewhere than have this company tow me, and I'm disabled.
Polite to my face but gave me the run around. Wasted my time because no one wanted to do their job. The tow truck guy told me the battery guy could help me but when the battery guy showed up he said he never should have been called because he couldn’t help me and that the other guy just didn’t want to go out on the call, meanwhile the battery guy had no intention of even pretending to be able to help me because he didn’t even have the battery for my vehicle in his vehicle (he did however have a girl in the car) he then insisted I needed to have my car towed and told me the tow truck guy was already in route, an hour later (two hours into this ordeal) my car was finally towed.
I had a tow thru AAA from West Columbia SC back over to GA. Worst experience in my life! They loaded my truck from the back end. Some how during the tow my bed cover flew over going over the hood of my truck hitting the roof. So now I have a dent all the way across my roof and no bed cover. I've been fighting with this company for 2 months now trying to get this matter taken care of. And I'm still waiting!! Now they are telling me to file on my own insurance...letting AAA handle it now
They left my sunroof open and my vehicle was flooded. I was told they crash wrapped it even though there was no crash. They stated it came off during the storm. That they had already cleaned all the stuff from the storm out of the parking lot. I asked did they rewrap or check anything and all they could do was say sorry. After $155.00 tow bill. They did put the windows up.
Absolutely ridiculous they towed my vehicle from and establishment I have a receipt for eating at, signs at the establishment do not say a time limit only that they are for their patrons only, I was a patron on this particular night but apparently their aloud to dictate how long it takes you to eat I will be taking my receipt and attorney there in the morning. I will be following up with the better business bureau my attorney and whatever regulatory agency governs tow companies steer clear from these crooks

Great people,friendly operator's, fast service, I have never used them but I have friends that have used them and they tell me they are reasonably priced compared to other towing companies in columbia area, I do know they have drivers on call 24 hrs a day.
Called them to see about towing. The employee I spoke to was confident in telling me the price and that someone would be out in ~45 minutes. After an hour and 20 minutes of waiting, I called for an update. Speaking to a different employee this time, they informed me that they were unable to find a record of my vehicle or phone number in their system. Calls are not recorded, so without the name of the employee who “helped” me the first time, the second employee didn’t seem too interested in finding out who was at fault here and told me it would be hours before someone else would be out. I hung up the phone and went with Elgin’s towing company who arrived in ~30 minutes. 1/5 for the service, would not recommend SDR towing.
We were driving down to FL with our family (4) kids for a cruise and We had a wreck in Orange burg SC exit 136 off interstate 26 and totaled our SUV. Jason from SDR towing came and helped us. This young man took our horrible day and made it better he was such a nice guy and made sure we were all safe and towed us. Jason thank you so much for helping us and getting us to safety.
