If you have car problems this is the place to go! My wife's 97 Dodge Neon (not the best car in the world) needed a oil change. To make matters worse, the drain bolt was stripped (out of my capabilities to remove). Airport Automotive did the oil change and didn't charge me extra for the stripped bolt. On top of that, on the way to bring the car in, the brakes failed lol. They had to completely rebuild the brakes on a 18 year old car. They quoted me an awesome price and I was worried that because of how rusted shut everything was that no way it won't cost me more in labor. They stayed true to the quote and even warrantied the new brakes for a year. Last thing to say is they had everything done in less than two days.

They stripped my wheel hub bolts and nuts and blamed it on me. All I wanted was an oil change and tire rotation. I do not recommend them. Horrible customer service.!!!
My husband called Airport Automotive in West Columbia, told them we had a Landrover that was leaking anti-freeze, we needed the brakes replaced and would like an oil change. The person he spoke to assured him they could handle the repairs. We took the car to them and dropped it off on a Sunday night. After 2 days we hadn't heard anything so my husband called them and spoke to a different person who said, "Oh, yeah, we don't work on Landrovers." My husband said he had spoken to someone else there that said they did so then we received a call back and they said they could work on it. By Thursday they still hadn't fixed it but called my husband to say they could do the oil change but really didn't feel as if they were qualified to do the other repairs on a Landrover. So on Friday (after not having the car for almost a week at this point) my husband goes to pick it up. They charged us $191 to run diagnostics on it even though they decided they cannot work on Landrovers and for an oil change. Why run diagnostics if you have decided your mechanics are not qualified to work on Landrovers?? To top it off, they had apparently kept it parked under a tree all week which dripped thousands of tiny drops of sap of some sort all over the car that will not come off. Multiple car washes later and the sap is still there. They gave us the run around, kept the car for a week, charged us to run diagnostics for repairs they were never going to do and I now have sap all over my car! VERY UPSET "customer" here. Will never go back.
We live out of state and were previously quoted $4000 for repairs that were not necessary for our vehicle. We have used Airport Automotive before when we lived there so opted to try again. So worth the 5 hour round trip to have them repair our vehicle. Not only did they save us thousands, they were super friendly and very timely with their repairs. I would HIGHLY recommend them!
Service was done around our schedule and pricing was competitive. We could have gone back to dealership but David acted like we were neighbors (and we are). Will continue to use them for our automotive service needs.
If I could give this shop negative stars I would I would not recommend this shop to my worst enemy. They had my car for over a month and a half over the holidays and took their sweet time to even look at my car.
Long story short I have a 2015 Kia Sorrento and my engine seized up and stopped working on the side of the highway. We had my car towed to this shop two hours away from our home due to the rave reviews and it has been nothing but a nightmare and I regret letting them even touch my car. We had a brand new engine put in this car and when we picked it up the check engine light came on as we drive away. We took the car back to the shop and had them look at it for them to tell us now something else was wrong after they just put a "brand new" engine in the car. We drove the car home over 200 miles to get a second opinion as we already didnt feel right about this shop anymore. We took it to 2 local body shops who diagnosed it with the same problem of a broken high pressure fuel pump. This is something Airport automotive should have realized when putting our engine back together if this was truly the problem. We decided to go ahead and have it replaced at a local shop we trust for them to tell us when taking everything apart that it really wasnt the fuel pump but that AIRPORT AUTOMOTIVE forgot to put a piece back on that connects to the high pressure fuel pump in turn ruining ours. This piece is hard to find and has caused me to spend more money and be without a car for another 3 weeks.
I would never ever take my car to a place that could be so negligent that they didnt but all the parts back on an ENGINE. This is beyond without a doubt a huge issue and could have caused major damage or left my husband stranded when driving the car back home. I have never been so disappointed in a auto shop and hope to goodness they never ruin another person's car like they did mine. We paid out of pocket for extra labor fees to this garage outside of what our warranty would cover for the engine and I feel like we deserve every penny back and then some.
Only place I will take my vehicles to whenever need to.Great service and they care about getting the job done right and taking care of their customers.
My car needed brakes...so I thought. Upon inspection, the technician discovered that my rotors were out of spec and needed to be replaced too. I am very please with the quality of work performed and I am glad they were looking out for my safety!
The owner is genuine & trustworthy, and always tries to help in any way he can. Such a great local, independent shop where I don’t feel like I’m just a number. These guys are experienced and do the work right the first time.
My 96 F350 went down and thought it was the transmission, but luckily it was the computer that went into limp mode, the staff was very helpful on finding me a replacement in a couple of days and had me going again. Very reasonable on prices and definitely would recommend airport automotive to anyone, thanks again on the prompt service
Not the cleanest place or most polished place, but the guys that work on the cars there are gold. I go in and out of many of these types of businesses and you won't meet nicer folks.
