They drive their trucks insanely unsafe on the highway, less that 10 ft from my rear bumper flashing his high beams when theres cars stacked up in every lane, eventually he got tired of tailgating me and swerved across 2 lanes of traffic on I20 east and tailgate someone in the right lane which was moving even slower. DO NOT HIRE

The folks at Richard Wright, Jr. were so helpful when I needed to have a car towed. Professional, kind and helped me when I needed it most.

Had a flat tire and needed a tow to a tire shop. They arrived sooner than expected. The tow truck driver Tommy was very cool, courteous and professional. Hopefully I won’t need a tow anytime soon but in the event I do, I I would call these guys! I definitely recommend!!

Had to use this towing company through my insurance and great communication at first but once I got a call about what it’s going on with my car and we hung up. No word. Said my car would be picked up at 12:19 and no one has reached out to me and it’s it 2:00pm already. I have called many times with the last hour. I hope my car will be picked up before the mechanic shop closes. Very disappointed.

Our AWD EV had gotten a flat tire just before we were set to bring our newborn baby home and it didn't have a spare so we got a ride after finding out we just had to leave the keys with the vehicle. Mike was great with communication! Letting us know when he was on his way, when he dropped off the vehicle at the service center and sent photos and everything. Highly recommend!

I was stranded on I 77 with a blown tire and needed help. My motor vehicle road service sent Richard Wrights. Fast service. Changed the tire in no time and had me back on the road. Very professional!

Made a tow request in Columbia in the middle of the day through my insurance and the initial time estimate was 1.5 hours. It was then delayed to 2-3 hours by the towing company. After 3 hours our insurance contacted them and they then said 90 more minutes. They made no attempt to contact us. After 90 more minutes the insurance company contacted them again and they claimed they were dispatched to an emergency accident by 911 and that they were “on the way” and would arrive in 1 hour 10 minutes. They made no attempt to contact us. Well, they never came so we made alternative arrangements. We received a notification from our insurance company approximately 8 hours after the job was assigned to them saying that they were on site. Which quite frankly I don’t even believe. Untrustworthy and unreliable company. Avoid at all costs.

Set up a tow through insurance company. I was expecting a very long (hours and hours) wait, but Mike, the driver, was there within 20 minutes of getting the call. He promptly loaded up the car and took it to it to our requested repair shop. To save us the trip, he dropped off the car and the key (in the overnight slot) and sent us pictures of the car where it was parked and the envelope he had completed for me right before he dropped it in the slot. I have used many tow companies over the years, and this was by far the best experience ever. I would highly recommend Richard Wright's Towing and Recovery. If/when I ever need another tow, that's who I'm calling!

Richard’s Wright Tow Service was invaluable in a very dire circumstance. They were responsive, quick, and punctual, arriving exactly when promised. Aaron, who helped jump my car, was incredibly kind and informative. After I’d tried jumping it twice myself, he diagnosed a dead battery within five minutes and got me to an auto shop the same day. Instead of waiting several days for service, I was back on the road quickly. 10/10 would absolutely recommend their service.

This review is based off my experience with my sister on tonight. My sister insurance company sent over the information for her road side assistance. I was waiting with her at Quik Trip and yet there is no tow truck driver arriving. Mind you, we’ve been waiting over an hour at this point. She called the office and spoke to a young lady who never entered her information in the system to have a driver dispatch to our location. Thinking everything is set to go we waited yet again. Here we go still waiting after an hour of no driver I decided to call and asks what the issue was. The young lady informed us that the driver will get to us when they can because of an alleged accident on the road. Mind you there was no kind of contact information from this office or the driver saying hey I’m running behind and I’ll be to y’all in this amount of time. Instead the young lady became upset because I questioned why a driver wasn’t dispatch to our location. Asked for her manager who came on the phone not knowing my sister's car and information but yet getting mad because I asked questions on the validity and lack of customer service they’ve offered. Seeing as though there wasn’t any intentions to come out and pick up her car and have it towed to our town which was 40 to 45 minutes away. The Manager decided to cancel her tow truck driver. With that being said my sister was giving a more professional driver from Priority Towing that came to get her car and delivered it safely to our home. I’m saying all this to say customer service actually Matters. Phone call updates matter. Checking Reviews Matter. Based off these reviews I can understand why previous customers left them. Do Not Use this company!!!!!! They will not put in the necessary paper work to assure a driver is assigned to you. Also, they will use other accidents as a means to not come and get your car if it requires them to travel. Again, Do Not Use this company. I’ll be reaching out to there Corporate office to report our experience with them on yesterday evening. An investigation needs to be conducted on how they are leaving customers stranded on purpose on the young lady who takes the calls and her Manager as well. I’ll be contacting the BBB and attorney generals office in Columbia regarding this issues not only for myself and others who’ve had this experience.

We called around and decided to go with them because their dispatchers (Trish and Christina) had the best customer service. The driver Tennessee came and he was SO nice!! He was punctual and polite. I hate that we had to remove our old car but they helped to make a sucky situation a good experience.

I want to applaud the service received from Richard Wright's Towing during Thanksgiving Week. When I needed assistance to get my car to another state after issues with another local towing company, Christina from Richard Wright was amazing. She worked tirelessly with the other company, setting a timer based on their demands for call back time. She didn't rest until she helped get my car to its destination the Monday after Thanksgiving. I would highly recommend them based on her efforts and the safe delivery of my vehicle.

Man this is one of the most loyal and honest tow company’s I’ve come across Freddy and John went way above and beyond and made sure my truck was safe after my keys were stolen , called in another tow truck to keep my price low because of steering column and other labor issues with having no key. They did not have to do that, saved me over 300 bucks.

I had the greatest service from the operators to the tow truck driver Smiley. I had to wait 3 hours due to them being extremely busy.They kept me informed. When Smiley pulled up I was so over it. He really made my day. He stayed calm explaining the process all with a great smile. He really changed my bad day into a really great day. Smiley is definitely you want to tow your vehicle.

Thursday morning, May 16, 2024 started out great unitl I was 1.5 miles from my home and blew the right front tire on my BMW X5. Managed to get it stopped without personal injury, but not my right front. I called Doscount Tire Pros in Springdale, NC where my tires were bought. The recommend Richard Wright's towing. GLAD THEY DID! After some logistial snafu, Gary Baily arrived in a very clean and efficient wrecker. Great disposition and friendly right out of the front seat. He assessed my situation, assured me the wheel was not damaged, except for some ring scrubbing and we were off to Discount Tire Pros. Great service, constant contact to state the arrival time and driver, Gary. Thanks guys, you made a very bad morning less hectic and I appreciate the professionalism Gary presented. Give him a raise!!!

We are from Florida and in Lexington for an International Tennis Tournament when our BMW decided it did not want to start and we needed to have it towed to a local repair shop. Tobin, from Wright's Towing & Recovery, arrived and handled everything with exactness and professionalism from start to finish. The parking lot at the tennis center was a tight space to work with but he made it look easy. Tobin and I shared some great conversation on the way to the repair shop and then he made sure I got to my hotel in downtown Columbia safely. I am very thankful for the way Tobin handled everything last night and made a follow up phone call to the company to let them know the same. Tobin - many thanks for your professionalism and kindness last night! I HIGHLY recommend Wright's Towing & Recovery!

If you are in need of body or paint work, Richard Wright is excellent. I took my car to them for some minor body work and a complete paint job the same color. I was not completely satisfied with the finished product at first. I pointed out some areas of concern to Jerry, the body shop manager, and he kept the car and made it right. Now I will warn you they are busy. Don't be in a hurry to get your car. On the plus side, Richard did just buy a second paint booth, so moving forward, they should be able to get the work done faster.

My truck broke down in Swansea at 11:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2023. I was stuck in the middle of the road. I called my insurance company, they told me that I was going to be sitting from 11pm till sometime around 2:00 a.m. waiting for a tow. The tow truck showed up an hour earlier than the eta I was given. The driver, Freddie was wonderful!!! Most drivers wouldn't have taken the time and care that Freddie did. He did everything to get my truck up on the tow bed safely, he even went as far as to remove the damaged wheel off of my truck to keep it from causing any more damage when he pulled my truck onto the tow bed. He loaded my truck quickly and did an amazing job when he dropped my truck off. He was very kind and Very helpful!!! I'll recommend Richard Wright's, towing and Freddie any day of the week

Terrible!!!! Said the eta would 8-830 AM, but they never showed on time. I actually had to call them to remind them of the tow and the lady thought it was a lock out request! My tow status said complete at 11:30 PM, however my car didn't make it home. I was worried, so I decided to drive where my car was broke down and low & behold it was right there, only moved off to the side. I called roadside assistance about all of this, they call the company and my car tow was delivered at 6AM the next morning! But instead of parking my BROKEN down car in my driveway, he parks it right in front of my mailbox! What a great idea, right?

UPDATED REVIEW BELOW ORIGINAL POST. Excellent workmanship and above and beyond service. The work was exceptional. Paint and body work was executed with flawless precision! Car looks better than new. The black paint has such depth. Liquid in appearance. Much appreciated to all that were involved with this project. ⭐⭐ UPDATED REVIEW ⭐⭐ AUGUST 24 2022 After having some issues with the paint clear coat fading on some surfaces,I contacted Richard Wright. This BMW sat outside in the sun for a couple of years only being driven as recreational purposes by my wife. With this being said, the clear coat failed in areas and Richard Wright assured me this should not of happened. He scheduled the car to be repainted and made complete again. After the job was done,the results were astonishing! Wife's BMW looks better than OEM paint! The manner and professionalism Richard and his staff handled this situation was above and beyond. This is most definitely a rarity in today's business practices. Greatly appreciate Richard Wright and staff for the attention and dedication to fixing my wife's BMW! And for polishing the headlights while it was there too! Wow. Above and beyond! Thank you all for your hard work and patience!

The service call I scheduled for a recovery was never delivered on account of the wreckers delivery driver stating that he encountered an altercation with the property owner which was (at the time) my ex. We had been having some relationship problems and I didn't feel comfortable going to pull my vehicle on my own because of complications that could have occurred so I figured the wrecker company would do it with no problem. Needless to say, they didn't. They never even attempted to try again and they told me that they didn't deal with customers that cause problems like that and prefer not to even deal with it and told me they were sorry. I had to pull my vehicle myself and upon arrival I noticed that 2 of my catalytic converters were cut off at the rear and 2 still remained. With that being said, I took it upon myself to file a claim with my insurance company because I had full coverage for theft, vandalism, etc. The claim adjuster filed for an investigation because he said he needed proof that my vehicle was in working condition before I filed the theft claim. I called the tow company and explained to them what I was needing to move forward with the claim and they were actually nice and cooperative about it and faxed the claim adjuster the service call they received and didn't finish the recovery. That wasn't good enough for the insurance investigator and he said my claim wouldn't be moving ahead without proof of my vehicle operable upon initially filing the claim. It's not like I knew this were to happen and was like...hhmmmm....I best document and record a freaking video of my car working properly jic I get a price for a claim adjuster smh. So my opinion is if Richard Wrights towing would have finished the call I would have my car fixed or if they did they would have noticed the cats were there or not to give the insurance adjuster more info. That's why I only gave them 2 stars.

This is the company to use if you ever need a tow! John, with the flatbed truck, went above and beyond his duties, twice! He is known as St. John in our family. We will be forever grateful to him and Wright's Towing for keeping us safe and getting us on our way home.

Wrights towing did a phenomenal job! The driver was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable when taking care of my Tesla. They take care of your car as if were there own no matter the circumstance your in. Would definitely recommend there services to anyone and would give a 10/10 if I could.
