While I do want recommendations for other work when my car in the shop, they fixed exactly what I asked for and didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. They even topped off my fluids at no extra charge and my car was ready on time. Highly recommend.

Called white knoll automotive and spoke with the secretary/lady up front and inquired about the cost to have a car diagnostic done to find out what was wrong with and going on with my car, I was told to diagnose the car would be a cost of $130, I decided to have it done at that cost which is right around the going rate for that service in our area. I informed her I would be having the car towed in after hours and would use their drop box, she said that was fine and I once again confirmed the price of $130 to diagnose the problem and asked if the diagnostic fee went towards repair if I decided to have them completed there with them like most shops do and she informed me yes and again confirming the price of $130. I set the appointment for Tuesday and had the car towed in on Monday evening and used the drop box to leave the keys along with a list of what the car was doing and everything we have replaced so far. The mechanic or owner I'm not sure which called me early afternoon on Tuesday and proceeds to inform me that now all of a sudden the diagnostic price has jumped to $300 and that that cost would not be put towards any repair work that would be needed. After confirming the $130 price twice already over the phone and paying to have my vehicle towed to the shop with that understanding it seems a very bad business practice to call and say the price i was originally told was now over double that cost and that was not something I was willing to pay for seeing as the difference in cost I informed him absolutely not especially if it will not go towards any repair so I arranged to have my car picked up and paid to have it towed again. So not only was I told something completely untruthful over the phone I had to pay for 2 tows that were absolutely unnecessary! if I had been told upfront about the price they were now wanting to charge that is $170 more and being told now that it won't go towards cost of repair work I would have had it towed somewhere else as the $130 is the ballpark of what other shops charge in the area. I would have considered to pay the $300 if it were to go towards repairs even though I was originally lied to about the diagnostic fee since I had already paid to have the car towed to their location. Please consider the drastic price switch and information that was told to me over the phone before you decide to use this shop for repair or even just getting a car diagnostic done as it cost myself not only an unnecessary tow charge but my time as well. Not a huge fan of wasting time and money. If you use this shop hopefully your experience will be much better than mine and the price you are told is the pricing it will be but I wanted to share my personal experience. I have included a post from another review with the owners response where he even confirms the $130 price for diagnostic.

We made an appointment a few weeks ago to have a brake warning light checked. We get to the day of the appointment and the weather went to crap. They took the car in anyway even though they were ready to close for the day. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it too. It only took a few minutes. Top it off they wouldn’t accept payment for their work. Great customer service. We’ll be back if we have any issues with any other car for them to work on.

I’ve been here twice to schedule to have my vehicle worked on and both times, they told me how to fix the vehicle myself. I was 100% willing to pay them to do the work, but they told me how to save some money. These are honest people that care about their customers. I’ve referred them to several people who thanked me for the referral. This is an honest mechanic shops that cares about their customers and doing people right!

Andrew and his staff do a wonderful job. Our entire family take our cars, vans and trucks to him. We have been going to him since he bought the shop. Erika does a great job at the front desk. Andrew is always honest with us about the work being done and works us in as soon as he can. Having a group of mechanics (Andrew, Frank and the rest) that you can depend on, even when you don't like what they find wrong hahaha, is so important to keeping our vehicles running.

Great place! They were so helpful and didn’t try and sell me a bunch of services I didn’t need. Not only that, but the end price was $40 LESS than what they estimated because the service they were performing was not as complex as expected! For me that speaks volumes about their integrity and that means the world to me. I definitely recommend this shop!

We’ve taken 2 vehicles here for different issues, both times they fit us in quickly, resolved quickly, resolved on the first visit, and at a fair price. A+ all around Bonus 6th star for the cute garage puppy they have now.

Huge Shoutout to Andrew and his entire staff. My wife and I were heading to TN from GA in our old school Bronco for a Bronco show. An hour out from Lexington, we broke down. Having used White Knoll for years, I had the tow truck driver tow us there. Knowing our compressed timeline, Andrew and his crew jumped on our Bronco as a team and got us back on the road in no time. Great customer service. Great repairs and GREAT pricing!!!

I received professional friendly service from start to finish. The staff answered all questions and provided excellent communications throughout the trouble analysis and repair work. My rebuilt transmission has performed better than ever, since buying our 2015 Traverse in 2017. They also identified a busted motor mount that needed replaced, and inspected the CV joints finding them in good shade, recommended not needing replaced. These are good, honest, hard working people. They’ve earned my respect and future business.

I have used the services at White Knoll Automotive for years. Always polite, professional, and accommodative. Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good doctor, not always easy, and once you find one you stick with them. Honest, and fair with pricing. If you need your car repaired, White Knoll is the place to go!

Wonderful and fast job. Took my car in for a 50k maintenance check, was only roughly $160. New cabin filter and rotated tires included. Have not had any problems with my car since then. I'm so glad they are here, and will definitely be back when I need something done again. I don't remember the name of the lady in the front working the phone, but she was very nice as well.

I went to Whiteknoll Automotive and had them check out my vehicle I had bought for my teenage son, They checked the whole vehicle out and did all the repairs at a reasonable price, next day it was ready. We are very pleased with these guys. The owner Andrew is a super nice guy and very personable not like some other places who won't give you the time of day. I give 10 stars to Whiteknoll Automotive. They will always have my business.

I've taken my 2005 Cobalt to white knoll Auto several times over the past few years. Mr. Andrew and Mr. Frank were very friendly and kind Mr. Andrew would always call me and tell me exactly what was wrong with car and exactly how much it would cost and how long it would take to fix it. It is hard to find a good mechanic these days with a reasonable price. these guys work hard and really are amazing. And I just want to say thank you white knoll Auto. If you want your vehicle fixed right I would recommend taking it too white knoll Auto. I am 100% satisfied customer.

The guys at White Knoll do a great job on our SUVs and don't overcharge which is really appreciated as a woman. They also take repair concerns seriously and are respectful and friendly when they talk with you. They check things out and call you first about needed repairs so you know what your car needs and what the cost will be when you pick it up. I would recommend giving White Knoll a try if you have not already.

We’ve been servicing our American made vehicles with Andrew @ White Knoll Automotive since he opened. Never have we met a group of more honest, professional & caring mechanics in all the states we’ve resided (retired Air Force here). He will tell you if he can get your car fixed, when, how much for & he’s never been wrong, although I’m sure he wouldn’t admit to his expertise as he’s a humble man. I saw a 1 Star review on here because he told the customer he couldn’t work on his vehicle but I’d rather have that then a mechanic telling me he ‘can’ when he truly can’t & it ends up costing me more in the long run, as SO many mechanics have/will done/do. You won’t go wrong coming to White Knoll Auto, we won’t go anywhere else as long as we’re Lexington residents.
