If you're Latino or Hispanic, don't expect to resolve any problems at this auto parts store. The man who works there apparently doesn't like Latinos. I went to return a battery I had bought the day before at another Auto Parts branch, but he refused to accept it. I went there because I was working nearby, and the branch where I bought it was far away. But I had the misfortune of encountering this racist man. In the end, I had to go back to the store where I bought it, and I mentioned it to the young man who worked there, who was very polite, by the way. He confirmed that he could have easily accepted the battery, and he didn't understand why the other man refused to do his job, which is a very common practice between branches of the same company. They should be more polite to all customers without exception. Thank you.

They need to pay for qualified employees. The lady was friendly and tried hard. But had zero knowledge of auto's. Miss the old school parts house when they actually had some knowledge. Imagine it's how they keep the profits up

We came here because our lightbulb was out! And we didn’t know what to buy, Daniel was excellent in suggesting the best options for my car, and also really kind! More people in customer service like that please!! Thank you I’ll definitely be back !!

Came in today for a new battery. Teeya was super helpful and even installed it for me in the freezing weather. Customer service here is awesome and thats why I always go to this location. Thanks Teeya!

I brought my car in to get a battery replaced. I told them that the terminal may be broken from a previous repair man. The gentleman who replaced my battery at advance auto parts told me that the terminal was fine and that my car would run well. The next day my car broke down in the middle of nowhere. I brought to a repair shop and it was the terminal that was broken. Advance auto parts. The phone seemed confused, not intelligent. He did nothing to help my and was telling me I was wrong. I was not asking for refunds or anything like that just for them to be aware that they staff member had put me in danger. The manager could not comprehend what I was telling him.

While traveling home I realized I needed a seatbelt adjuster. The competitor, whom I work for, didn’t have what I needed so off to Advanced we went. Sunny greeted us as soon as we entered. He was able to sell us the seatbelt adjuster and we were on our way. Thank you Sunny at Advanced for taking care of us.

(SUMMERVILLE LOCATION) (MORNING FEMALE MANAGER) Ordered off their website where they claimed to have had over $100 worth of parts I ordered. They called me an hour past that (30 min promised pick up time prior) to tell me none of the parts I ordered are in the store, and that they have also not enough drivers to get my order from Rivers Ave. to Summerville. And rather transfer the part or order to Rivers, they canceled my order and is taking my money up to 5 days to come back. As I called and told them just use the money for the Rivers store, the manager from Summerville claimed she does not have time to do this and I can do it myself when my money is refunded. When I called back she rudely interrupted me and said “we don’t have the part, and we aren’t going to get the part. You can call back at a different time for a different manager to tell you this but I am done” and hung up. So after THEY didn’t update their website, THEY didn’t call me in a proper amount of time to handle this sooner, and THEY didn’t ask if I wanted a refund and or to go get the part myself. Have taken over $100 from me, over an hour of my time. And have done little to nothing to contact and take care of this situation. She laughed at me and pretty much said they could care less. I wish I would have got her name, but she was an old lady by the voice for certain, strong attitude behind a non caring demeanor and emotionless to customers. How this lady ever made it anywhere is mind blowing to me.

Amazing customer service award goes to Jason and Chuck. Great guys made a frustrating finding more digestible with their personable service. My problem was explained in terms that I understood without being condescending or "man-splaining." Will definitely come back again for my automotive needs even though it's a little overpriced. The customer experience and the extra mile these guys go for quality service is worth it. Keep up the great work guys. It's a hard job dealing with the public, but you guys make it look effortless.

I was in a really tough spot and needed a battery installed or I wouldn’t be able to make it to work. I was worried that a retail location might not be willing to help me, but Jason was a fantastic guy. He fully installed my battery in my truck IN THE RAIN!!! To top it off, he did it with a smile on his face, and was willing to go above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed. I will always return to this store for my auto needs because of Jason’s kindness.

My son and Father came into your establishment to purchase a belt for his car. The man helping them asked for the tag number for the vehicle. Not knowing the information, my son called me to ask for a photo of the licence plate. During our telephone conversation the man was very condescending because I asked if he meant the VIN number. After our conversation, the person helping continued to be rude to my son and father. When my son stated that he didn't understand something, he belittled my son and called out to another team member to speak in spanish, stating maybe then you can understand. Without disclosing too much personal information, please note that my son has high functioning autism and is encouraged to communicate by asking questions when he does not understand. It is upsetting to know that my father and son were not treated appropriately in an establishment that I once had great respect for. We WILL NOT be returning customers for this very reason.

I called ahead and asked if they could check and likely swap my battery. Kyle did a quick check and then Aaron came out and swapped the battery super quick. I was in and out in like 10 minutes. Highly recommend.

I've been having problems with my car over heating for over a year had many people help me try to figure it out to no avail. Then I met Amy from this store at a different store when she was making a delivery and in the 5 minutes she went over it with me she figured it out and now my cars working better than it has in a long time and all it took wasa $2 hose nozzle and ten minutes of my time. I will be driving the extra 40 minutes to this store because of her.

Sean is the best! He fixed a leak from my sunroof on my Chevy Equinox and wouldn’t give up until he found a solution! I went to the competition across the street and they were absolutely no help at all! Thank you Sean for everything!!!!

I needed a battery very bad, so I went to Advance since they were the closest. I was completely surprised for the cost of a battery for my Yukon, $231 with my military discount, I guess that's why when I get a chance I even shop for auto parts online.

On my way to Charleston at 8 o'clock this morning. My battery light started flickering and my car began to lose power. I called ahead to the Summerville Advanced Auto and spoke with Dave. When I pulled up 10 minutes later he was ready to take my payment, replace my battery and had me up and running within 15 minutes or calling him. Absolute perfect experience! Thank you Dave for being so kind and helpful to me today - GREATLY appreciated.

A little expensive but the employees were helpful. From what I can rell, they don't require face masks for entry (or temperature checks for that matter). Still the same experience now that I had a couple of years ago. A little expensive but the employees were super friendly and helpful. Be safe out there you guys!

Charles is AMAZING! He was willing to look at my car and see if he could replace the battery. He did it while smiling and being kind the entire time. Great customer service. I will definitely be back if other car issues arise. I will only go to Advanced Auto now. We went to Auto Zone first, due to it being closer to my house and they said they couldn’t install it. Charles took one look and said he was willing and he would go ahead and get started. I couldn’t be more grateful.

A two star. They had the part I needed and sold it to me quick and cheap but the bald man behind the counter was rude. I asked him if he knew how to put the license plate light into my car and he was like unfortunately I don't know. Okay?? So help me do it or find someone who does??? I've never been to an auto parts store where they don't help you replace a simple light. They're not friendly and they're not knowledgeable.

Had what I needed. Online orders offer discounts but exchanges do not honor same discounts. Tool loan program with a deposit good for many projects. Helpful staff, quick service. Staff assists install several products such as batteries and wiper blades.

I ordered some items on line. When I went to pick up the items the box for the air filter was crushed and had some odd tape on it. The lady waiting on me said the filter was new but I do not know if the bag was resealed. Then as I am standing there I realize there is a very nasty smell coming from the box with the break pads. Again it looks like the pads were opened. I don't know if the smell is normal or not so I ask to cancel the order. I think her name was Syndee, she says ok, she will cancel it. Then she wants to scan the back of my license and I say I do not want her to scan the license. She types in information, says the return will not take. Return? I did not yet accept the goods and have not signed anything to accept the goods. I don't understand why she would be trying to return the goods. She tells me I can go on line and cancel the order. I go on line and the instructions are to call the store to cancel the order. Turns out she marked the order as customer pick up or picked up. I have to call again in the morning to speak to a manager. This is the second time for me here with issue like this. I used to always go to the one on Orangeburg Road and never had an issue. I will not be back. Now I have to talk to my credit card company. I am not happy. My card appears charged and I do not have the goods. I never signed anything accepting the goods. I am speculating all the information from drivers licenses is being written to a database. You decide what happens then. I had my identification. That should be enough.

Brought a license plate cover for my car didn't realize til after I opened it to install that it covers the whole 2018 sticker on my car, which I can be pulled over for. Yet they sell these items knowing that but you can't return them...... Definitely won't be getting my business again. I could of use that $23 on something else.

I ordered online and picked up the same day in store. Staff verified the parts were the correct ones for my vehicle but one part was not. This caused me an extra hour. An auto parts store is an auto parts store; what I can say, however, is that the staff is always very friendly and offers their help in finding items if I look lost. I've never experienced it being particularly busy, which is nice - and the staff, while helpful, also doesn't bug you every five minutes asking you if you need help finding something. They usually ask once when we walk in, then leave us alone unless we approach them. That's excellent in my book!
