Definitely the best scrap yard in the low country. All the guys working as a team to get you unloaded, the office girls getting you paid and on your way. They pay top dollar too. Very impressed. I won't be going anywhere else
Staff is very friendly and helpful. My first time here and it was a very good experience. I'll be bringing more business to B&D Scrap Metal all the time.
Easy place to go and sell your scrap metal. Keep in mind you might have to have a precious metal certificate that you get from the sheriff's office on Deming Way.
Just like most places these days someone in every business it seems is trying to get the "people" a Lil more to insure they are adding to there profit and not being fair to the people . Following all the other businesses in this company ooops I meant country...
Just all around great group of employees that work at this facilitie. Definitely give them 5 stars only place I go for my scrapping needs !! Keep up the good work guys
Really wanna try this place out. However after reading many reviews on the North Charleston page and the Somerville location page I’m a bit skeptical now as well as seeing the way that the owner responds to reviews. I’m not sure I want to take my business to these people.
I dropped off over 100lbs of clean aluminum and got shafted into old sheet metal pricing. I brought up the mishaps with Deanne only to be told that I was wrong and refused a refund for my aluminum back. Are there any other scrapping places open on Saturday?
The worst place in all of summerville to take scrap or any objects. The techie who works in the field likes to talk down on EVERYONE whos first time going there. Like everyones supposed to know where to go. Disgraceful company needs put out of business. Stop bringing your scrap to the Orangeburg location NC all the way they are polite and NOT once have I had to repeat myself or get frustrated with them giving me attitude.
Don’t use these jerks. Always have problems going here. Was halfway thru unloading when they say they’re gonna close, the guy working the CAT called up front to say there’s one last person coming up. I get to the front only for them to close the door on me and say we’re closed. Worst people I’ve ever dealt w/. They’re so miserable it’s insane. Worst customer service. Wish I could give 0 stars.
Outstanding customer service. Very efficient operation, kept clean and very organized. I do the scrapping as kind of a hobby and they are always very patient and generous in answering questions(and believe me, I have had some dumb questions). Just a great group of people who do a good job and take pride in their work. I would highly recommend to anyone. I have been to two other scrap yards and the overall experience is not in anyway comparable to B and D on Orangeburg Road in Summerville.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Every time I go there the guy “in charge” gives me an excuse for why he can’t do this or do that. Flat out called me a liar in front of the people there one day when I went to sell a set of converters that I took off my own car. Since this place sold out, his head has gotten bigger and bigger and doesn’t deserve to be in a position of power as he will just rip you off for everything.
