In January, I took my truck into this shop for new brakes, oil change and inspection. They needed to change out my emergency brake shoes by draining my rear differential. I picked up vehicle and drove no more than 50 miles and experienced catastrophic rear differential damage. Based on my experience, I felt it was a result of their work on the part. In my opinion, the offer they proposed was less than fair and I had it fixed somewhere else and the truck runs great.
I brought my 2022 Civic Si in for a routine oil change and left very concerned about the honesty and transparency of this shop.
I was charged $8.99 for washer fluid I did not authorize. The reservoir is only 1.5 liters, and a gallon of fluid costs less than $4. Adding this inflated charge without consent is unacceptable.
The shop also tried to add a $50 tire rotation, without my authorization. Claiming it’s “automatically included” with an oil change and that I had to opt out. This was never disclosed online or at drop-off, and my car is on winter tires, making a rotation unnecessary. The only reason I wasn’t charged is because I saw the charge when they made recommendations. I never had the chance to decline this charge, as it was added without my knowledge and ‘approved’ without my knowledge. I was lucky I paid attention and saw the charge before I paid.
Finally, I was quoted $310 for a manual transmission fluid change, a service that typically costs $100–$180 at dealerships. This kind of pricing feels excessive and predatory.
It seems this shop expects customers not to notice unauthorized or inflated charges. I’ve worked as a service advisor at dealerships, so I recognize standard procedures—and this does not meet them. I recommend steering clear of this shop as they clearly prioritize profit over integrity.

I emailed William at meineke to talk this entire thing out before his response to this was even posted, looking for some clarification and help understanding. Instead of trying to resolve any issues, he double downed on everything he said, justified charging $9 for washer fluid despite being unauthorized, justified trying to hide the tire rotation and sneak a $50 unneeded charge, and justified inflating a $180 service done at the dealership to $310. Save yourself the headache from dealing with uncaring management and take your car elsewhere.
Went in for a simple oil change, which was reasonably priced. That was fine. While they were in there they found a cracked gasket. Which is fine, they showed me that it was broken. What wasn’t fine was the price.
Based off what I researched online I should’ve probably been paying $650 at MAX for the oil change + replacement part. I was initially quoted at $717 which was steep, but I bit the bullet and approved it because I didn’t want to drive with leaking oil (they said there was a “significant” oil leak). At a certain point, one of the owners, Will, came out and showed me the new part they were going to put in. He claims that he told me it was going to be an extra $400 to put this part in during our conversation… I have no recollection of this so I was shocked at my bill being $1100+ when I went to pay for everything. He swears up and down that he told me I was going to be paying extra but I’m not so sure. At the very least there should’ve been another “are you sure you want to have this done” text sent to me with the new price attached. There wasn’t.
I feel like I was swindled because I went in for an oil change and left having paid $1100, and the services listed on the invoice didn’t match what they told me I was getting done. Also I was there for four hours, wasting half my day through for this underwhelming, overpriced experienced. At least I got a $20 “first time customer discount.” I won’t be a second-time customer though, that’s for sure.
Had to get my new car inspected and looked over. Chris got me in same day and Luis B had me out in an hour. Both pleasant and great to work with. The communication on the vehicle was fantastic thru the whole process. Highly recommend for your car needs
Will the owner is extremely kind helpful and professional. He just hired an office manager Chris who is extremely kind and professional as well. They had installed and removed a device on my car and I was at first very concern because I drive an expensive luxury car, but did an amazing job. I brought my car to Meineke in Emmaus after noticing dark oil stains coming from the engine area. I also needed an oil change and wanted to take care of everything quickly. My wife had highly recommended this location based on past experiences, so I trusted her judgment.
After dropping the car off, I received a phone call with some rough news. The transfer case was cracked and leaking oil, and the repair would have been extremely expensive, even with a used part. That was obviously frustrating to hear. I asked them to top it off so I could safely limp the car home while I figured out next steps.
Thankfully, it turned out my vehicle was still under a drivetrain warranty up to 100,000 miles, and the repair was fully covered through Nissan. While Meineke didn’t do that specific repair, they absolutely earned my trust through their honesty and transparency. They could have easily glossed over the issue or pushed unnecessary work, but instead they were upfront, fair, and clear about my options.
I’ll continue using Meineke for my regular maintenance and service needs. This location is honest, fairly priced, and professional. They’ve earned my future business, and I completely understand why my wife recommended them. Ask for Will or Chris. They are the best.
I was far from home when my truck broke down on 12/30, 3 shops told me they couldn't help me till Monday 12/5. This would have left me stranded in PA for almost a week. These guys took great care in getting me up and running in a few hours. Thanks so much and Happy New Year
If I could give 0 stars I would. Appt scheduled at 1300 for inspection. I arrive at 1250. No activity in the garage and no lights on in the waiting room. I call, no answer. I call again and leave a message saying we will need to reschedule again when they are actually working. Received an apology text and an offer to wait or reschedule. Received a text a short while later saying the tech was back and I could come back. Went back, I was the only customer there, and work proceeded on another car. 30 minutes later I tell the one person I need to get moving and this had take too much of my afternoon already. It was done in 5 minutes. Paid my invoice which was probably twice any other facility for inspection. Will not be returning.
Very kind owner. Very fair and talkative. You can tell he loves his job and his customers. I don’t care if I pay more, I’ll go to them always. Very home town community feel- support local.
I cannot give enough gratitude for the integrity of this shop! Twice this shop has gone above and beyond to get my 2011 Buick past inspection. They give honest estimates and do fantastic work.
Owner was very nice and informative! We are from out of town, he was honest, upfront and did not try to take advantage of us. Unfortunately we did not get the work done due to the time frame to order a trans, etc. Going to attempt limping home then getting it repaired. If i lived local, would definitely go back!
The only problem that I had was the guy at the counter seems like he doesn't know what he's doing other than that the place was good he does honor endurance warranties does good work on your vehicles I would recommend them I would even go back there if the guy at the counter know what he was doing
I had my exhaust come apart at a weld. They got me in the next day. I was given an estimate of $180-$240. I picked my truck up and it was $327. They do great work but just try and get a confirmed estimate.
Terrific customer service. Will and his team are top notch. They helped me in an emergency and fixed my problem quickly. I recommend this shop and will return with any future issues.
Courteous and professional service. Made a same day appointment at 1 PM for car inspection. Car did not go in until 215, finished by 315. Waiting room was full on arrival. Wifi not working. Drop off recommended.
We had a routine oil change here that turned into a nightmare. The tech neglected to tighten the oil pan nut to spec which caused it to fall off. The oil drained and the engine seized resulting in a 2 year old car needing a brand new engine. The worst part of it all…. The owner tried to claim that it was a manufacturer defect (one that never had a recall) and that I would have to take it up with Honda. Once the car was checked out at Honda they confirmed it was due to the nut not being tightened to spec during the last oil change. Meineke still would not accept responsibility despite the issue happening 2 days after service and Honda confirming the source.
Mistakes happen, even egregious ones that you would never expect from a business like this for the most basic service. The real issue was how the owner handled the issue. This is a business I would stay far away from. Find someone more reputable who will stand behind their work… and mistakes.
William was a pleasure to work with. He explained all services before, during and afterwards. I am definitely returning for any other needs for my vehicle. The entire staff was great. 😃
My husband and I were traveling and our car stalled out several times. We called a few shops in the area and, on a Saturday after hours, the owner himself stayed to help us with the problem, fixed it up, and sent us safely on our way. Mr. Randell is extremely kind, knowledgeable, and honest. We are so lucky to have found his shop and will absolutely be back just to work with someone as reliable and trustworthy! Thanks so much!
Went there for an inspection, my first visit. Service was prompt and courteous. Needed enough to pass that I mentioned might buy a used car. They said to bring the car to them before buying and they would inspect. Very helpful people.
So on Chestnut Street in Emmaus at the meineke. So my AC was not working and I got told by Ford that the lines were leaking and possibly the compressor could be bad. So they gave me a high estimate so I took it to meineke and the owner there treated me fairly after a few little situations he backed up his work and fix the problems. So I just got my truck back today and so far all is good. Will return as a customer.
Really good customer service. I wasn't happy with the price, but they did a lot and the car needed it, so it was totally worth it. I would recommend them to anyone. Very thorough. Thank you.

I have been taking my car to Meineke for 7 yrs since l move to this area. Will is the best! He always gets me the best deals and also looks for coupons to help defray the costs. The work is outstanding and he stands behind all the work done at his shop. I love that guy and his team!
This is not a run of the mill break replacement Meineke. They are capable of handling far more complex issues than just breaks. They fixed an issue with my SUV in a short time and for a very reasonable cost. They had my interests in their mind rather than trying to sell unnecessary services. On top of everything this place is owned by a veteran. This shop is highly recommended.
Will did a great job taking care of what I went in for and showed me things I needed done to be safe driving the vehicle.

I was in need of exhaust repair after my truck 2007 Dakota started making a sound like an air leak on the engine. After my non-professional investigation I determined the leak was coming from the exhaust system somewhere on the engine. Read the good reviews and made an appt. Don and the folks at Meineke in Emmaus went to work that very day but it was a lengthy job and took about a day and a half. Don called me and gave me updates a few times which was nice. I would recommend them highly. They did a great job on my truck.
