Amazing atmosphere, nice sellers and great finds I bought 4 bangles/bracelets and a pack of old slides all in all I spent 4 dollars! Prices were excellent and I saw all kinds of old and unique treasures like cameras and glassware. All the food looked amazing (and smelled so too)

Amazing place! Lots of vendors inside and outside. Produce, meat, cheese, bread, bakery items, dry goods, candy! You name it - they have it! It is a place you can come and spend a couple hours, eat breakfast or lunch or supper - subs, sausage sandwiches, a restaurant, ice cream, hambergers, coffees and even bubble teas! Lots of craft items, general store, pet needs - have a great time! Also a flea market, antique vendors, an Artisan Mill and the Emporium - more vendors! Have a great time all year around!!

Those who know go. All fresh fruit. Tons of non kosher food. Excellent small animal auction. Real cheap food auction. Cool antiques flea market. Nice random things being sold. Serious marketplace vibes!

Was glad to see them open. It was mostly inside vendors but there were a few outside as well. As always, they had good selections, great produce and yummy treats

Endless array of vendors with fresh fruit and produce to pick from. If you don’t need anything when you come here,, I’m sure you’ll leave with something! Friendly flea market and I’d suggest to get here early to get the bargains! I great place to catch pictures of a train,, train passes through adjacent to the market, very slow for safety and it’s a great place for close up pictures.

Love Roots market on Tuesday! Shoppers can get fresh local produce, home decor, collectable, pretty much anything you can think of!! Duringbthe summer months they also have a flea market on the outer part of the property. Awesome vendors!

The best place for all your produce needs and wants. They also have lunch options, dinner options...the place has a little bit of everything. I look forward to going there every Tues and wish they had at least one more day open with all the vendors that are there on Tuesday. I would definitely accommodate my days off from work to make it here.

Always a great day for finding outstanding produce & tasty lunch spots. We’ve enjoyed the selection of olives 🫒 & hand-held meat pies at the indoor Jerusalem stand. Lots of parking, but since Roots is only open on Tuesdays, it gets very busy by 11A. Outdoor seating at lunchtime is expected. You will always find clean, attended rest rooms in a building of its own located a short distance from the two shopping pavilions.

Almost overwhelming as each display is beautifully presented with such large selections. The produce is like nothing you have seen anywhere-- so many things to choose from, fresh, flawless, and locally grown. Countless vendors in multiple buildings, with everything you could possibly imagine. The baked goods, meats, cheeses, and prepared foods were stellar. And you must go to the auction, which took us 2 visits to find. It is in an obscure area behind building #9. It starts at 1:00 with produce first, then grocery items, flowers, and the day we were there, chickens. Nobody explains how it all works, but folks were friendly when we asked. Go to the office window, have them scan your driver's license, and you are given a card with a number. This is what you hold up when you bid. Someone records all bids on a computer as the auction goes on, so when you are ready to leave, just go back to the window where they will have a list of your purchases and the cost, and they will take your payment. It was such a fun! And you can't miss the flea market just across the road with countless hidden treasures. I just wish it all wasn't on Tuesdays only.

Everybody's so nice. Love all the candy and beef jerky. Subs are amazing. Love ROOT'S wish they were open more than just one day.

This place is awesome and has something for everyone. There are outside and inside vendors everywhere. The outside vendors just go on and on so be prepared to walk. The outside vendors were very polite and attentive. It was incredibly windy when we went but they still remained happy to help even with there wares blowing everywhere. They have old and new items that are unique and interesting, crafts, seasonal items, and really something for everyone. My only gripe is that this one starts very early, many vendors will leave early, some leave as early as 11 but more will leave by 1pm. So I'd say get there early, it might also help to be the crowds that will be there l, especially on Tuesday. Saturday is actually a bit calmer if you don't want the huge crowds but its a bit smaller with the outside vendors. The inside buildings also have stores that have everything from toys, Pokémon cards, homemade goods and crafts like soaps and candles and other items, and other unique knick knacks, tools, and other useful items. The vendors here are also polite and attentive. Many stores here are open to 8pm, so I'd recommend going outside first. You can also participate in a live auction if something catches your eye. Just know it goes by a bit slow if there are a lot of items. So if the item you want is at the end of the list, it might take a while, good news is there is so much else to do. There are also animals for sale if that is your thing. Now I wanted to do the food separately as there is so much going on. Both inside and outside vendors sell fresh produce and other seasonal items. On the inside you can also get fresh meats as well. Then you can also find things like candy, packaged goods, delis for sandwiches, hot dogs and hamburgers, chicken, and other cooked meals, they even have a sit down restaurant. Amish goods are also found inside, so prepare your sweet tooth. Outside also has a wide variety of great places. You can get great fries, pretzels, to things like pit beef, brisket, pulled pork and other BBQ items. They have shakes and a good coffee place as well. The main outside area to enjoy your meal usually has some live music playing. When we were there a great musician was playing. He was there for the full time we were there, (5hrs,) and sounded great the whole time. I found the place clean, (even the bathroom,) and friendly and there really is something for everyone. A little bonus if you have kids or just love alpacas, there is a alpaca farm just next door that is usually open when the market is going on. Remember, get there early!

So many great vendors. I used to come here with my family, as Roots is a tradition, but had not been in many years. Imagine my joy to see how vibrant the market still is. I wanted to eat everything! Great deals. Beautiful food. Flowers, apples,, pumpkins. Poultry ! But the thing that really got my husband and I was the people. The people are so kind, friendly, welcoming and blessed. What a wonderful day. Thank you for a much needed day of joy 🙏!

Made a quick trip on our way home to Pensacola Florida. We miss going to places like this. If your close go so much great stuff and FRESH meats and veggies. Who could forget all the baked goods. Only 1 problem you don’t know which bender to buy from😊

The bounty of fresh produce, meat, chicken and fresh sausage is unmatched. The prices are very reasonable. However, only select vendors accept credit cards, so bring cash. Basil was $1, carrot bunches $2 and 1/2 doz corn $1.50.

I took my daughter and her friend here when they visited from Michigan. We had a wonderful time. Fresh food and so many vendors it's hard to believe. A giant Amish treasure hunt. We were there for several hours and only saw about half. I can't wait to return.

It's a big farmer's market with some stores and businesses, too. There are a lot of Amish sellers there and a lot of them do not take cards. So, if you go there, be prepared to have cash. I bought two belts from one of the Amish booths and had to go to an ATM and pay extra fee for the withdrawal. I was particularly surprised to see that Amish do not call their produce organic. I intentionally asked a few of them about it and none of them gave a positive reply. To end on a good note, at the entrance, they sell varieties of ice-cream of a very good quality. I was attracted to a beer ice-cream but decided not have it before a long drive :)

One of the best Farmers Markets in Lancaster County! Only happens on Tuesdays but has so many options to choose from. If you’re hungry in between shopping for produce, meats, cheeses or desserts there are numerous food stands: Hoagies, Seafood/ Fish sandwiches, sit down Amish home cooked meal or a sit down place called Farmers Table. There are Whoopie Pies, Shoefly Pies, funnel cakes, pit barbecued pork, ice cream and more!!! Kettle style popcorn, a huge candy selection as well. There are plant auctions, poultry/livestock auctions. Parking is free but it gets busy but always a parking spot somewhere!

Such a nice place to visit. Auctioning flowers, chickens, & such. There's butcher cut meat, pastries, cheeses, fried oreos, food stands, & much of ANYTHING you want to purchase! Sadly, the 💐 set off my allergies 😢 🤧!

Vendors still had produce, desserts, and Greek food even at 5:30. I was happy to pick up what I wanted to purchase. Update: the Greek vendor typically sells out of moussaka and pasticio by 12. You can call them and have them hold back orders for you.

I mean what is there to say? It another awesome Amish Market/Flea market. A vast array of foods to choose from to eat there or take home. It's very much like Green Dragon in, Ephrata but slightly smaller. Same kind of set of stalls wise. Always great to get Amish pretzels. Looking for soap that's cheap and also smells great? Go here. They have it all.

I found myself in Lancaster today. And decided to stop in at this farmers market. When I got there the parking was very easy . And access was easy. The over whelming amount of businesses of just about every you can think of was amazing. Beautiful vegetables, And meats abound here . I actually met an amazing woman named June who owns Bdazzle Jewelry whose Jewelry was amazing. I spent at least 20 minutes talking to this beautiful and friendly lady as she explained all her beautiful handmade items to me . This seems to be the way I found most of the vendors to be here . Luckily I only came with a certain amount of cash because I could have really went overboard spending on all the wonderful items and food I found. Bring cash , Most vendors don’t take cards so be prepared. I actually don’t know why I’ve only been here once . Since it’s only 1/2 hr away from my home. I very highly recommend. I will definitely be going back. But be aware it does get a bit crowded so going early is recommended

Is it Tuesday? If not stay home. The market comes alive only on Tuesday year-round. Open 9am to 8pm. Plenty of free parking. Huge market with fresh produce, meats, cheeses, bakery goods, prepared foods, etc. We had excellent interaction with numerous merchants.

Love Root's Market! I go every Tuesday that I can to buy fresh locally grown produce, teas and honey. The meat from the Amish butcher is so fresh and never frozen. The prices vary from stand to stand but are all cheaper than the grocery store. Every week I pick up some trinket or treasure to add to my pile of Christmas and Birthday gifts. The atmosphere is great and I've gotten to know some of the vendors on a first name basis. Bring a backpack and a nice big reusable bag.

Always a local favorite. Every Tuesday! Come check out the local Roots Market. A little bit of every taste of food for everyone! From fresh produce to local farmers hand crafts. Plus outside there’s always something to catch your eye! Be sure to plan to come here on your next stop. You definitely won’t be disappointed!

Roots Country Market is always a great way to spend a Tuesday. Located in the beautiful countryside of Lancaster County, you'll find anything you could possibly need. There are two different areas of the market. First, you have the 'yard sale' section, which is outside. This section is just that, a huge yard sale. Many people set up their tables early in the morning, hoping to sell their wares. Now if you go inside the buildings, you'll find a whole different world. A world full of fresh meat, chicken, turkey, assorted cheeses, bakery items, plants, flowers, socks, kitchen items, dolls, toys, and everything in between. There are a lot of different vendors selling anything you could need. And some things you didn't think you needed. The food options are plenty. From pizza to sausage, fried chicken, candy, ice cream, fresh homemade sticky buns, apple dumplings, chow chow, and pickled everything. You definitely won't leave hungry. Whether you're looking for a gift for someone or just shopping for yourself, you will find it here at Root's. Amish made furniture, produce, and so much more. It's a great way to spend a Tuesday with friends or even by yourself. It is open at 7 a.m., I believe. The outside vendors start breaking down their sites at around 1:00, and the inside businesses are open until 4:00. Also, on Saturdays and Sundays, they do have a craft show on site as well. Root's itself is closed, and there are no yard sale vendors. It's all about homemade gifts and the such. Check it out. You won't go wrong.

We absolutely love all the different shopping options at Roots! It is like the Green Dragon used to be but even larger. There are a wide variety of handmade goods as well as fresh pastries, farm fresh meats and vegetables. There are stands that sell vegan option salads, fried shrimp and vegetables, Zerbes chips, Raub's subs, grape leaves, pickles, relishes, smoked cheeses and meats, nuts, candy, dog bones, catnip treats, plants, flowers, maple syrup, leather belts...there really is something for everyone. We enjoyed a fantastic sausage sandwich from Zooks, the boys enjoyed milkshakes from an outdoor stand, we ate a salt stick from the bread bakery, bought some unusual -but delicious white radishes from an outdoor vendor, and had the best sticky buns from an inside vendor..the list goes on. The prices are fair but it's a great idea to comparison shop. Typically the prices at produce stands that are outdoors are less, sometime by a great amount. We recommend going on a day that's overcast and going fairly early or right after lunch when the crowds seem to diminish a bit. It's also a great idea to take a picture of where you parked your car and the entry door you accessed. It's easy to get turned around. If you lose your people and don't have a phone, make a meet up plan for the door where you entered.

Great place for a day of antiquing, eating and bargain hunting. Pretzels, candy, baked goods and every type of meat, poultry and produce you can imagine. More food choices than you can even choose from. Tons of outdoor food trucks, vendors and booths that will be open later in the spring. A great way to spend an afternoon in Amish country.

Real nice market. I love going here! They have everything from good food to a nice flea market. Just make sure you grab a parking spot before noon. Gets real packed around that time.
