In my YEARS with manheim not once have I ever came across a disrespectful, rude, Unprofessional and Hostile Experience with Keith the Arbitrator Keith, the arbitrator, was extremely disrespectful, hostile, and completely lacking in transparency. The buyer who purchased my vehicle put it into arbitration, and when I was contacted, Keith claimed there was a “factory paint defect” — something he admitted in his own words you can’t even see. Yet he still gave me an ultimatum: either pay an adjustment or take the vehicle back. When I asked how this could possibly fall back on me as the seller — especially since the vehicle was bought through Manheim with their own 4.8 CR report — he became aggressive and dismissive. I asked him to show me evidence of the defect, and he told me it could not be seen in pictures because it was a “factory defect.” When I pressed further, he cut me off, told me “we’re not having this conversation,” and hung up the phone on me. To make it worse, when I asked to speak to upper management, I was told I could not. All Manheim calls are recorded, and a review of this one would show exactly how hostile and unprofessional Keith was. Arbitration should be about fairness and transparency, not ultimatums, hostility, and shutting down legitimate concerns.

⸻ The Arbitration Department, especially Greg Karbowski, showed clear favoritism towards Mercedes-Benz Wilmington, Delaware, when reversing my completed sale using an argument not stated in the policy. This is unfair, not transparent, and damages trust in Manheim Pennsylvania Auto Auction.

The biggest and best Manheim there is. Their largest location - inventory is enormous.

So I drove over three hours to try to pick up a vehicle that I purchased from the auction. The lady named Amber was such a help and such a pleasure to speak with, but she told me that I had to call the credit and collections department to fix an issue with a payment a lady named Cynthia was so rude and so obnoxious. I don’t even know how she has a job working at credit and collections department working with people because she hung up my face and never wanted to help one bit this facility with the credit collections department is horrible

There was some confusion on my end of my picking up a car there. The staff, from Iris to the shuttle drivers and check out guys were absolutely terrific.

Mannheim is a well known auction, issue with this particular location is that it has so many big wholesalers that they allow them to modify the CR, very unfair if you buy something 4.5 cr and then following week is a 3.0 or less at a different Manheim location.

Same female security guard asked to see my license when entering lot multiple times within 30 minutes? Refused to give her name when asked. Very unprofessional. Frustrating processes. They make training difficult by only allowing one person on lot per gate pass. Not enough shuttle vans.

Horrible experience so far. No customer service, and the company does nothing for lengthy delays. The arbitration is horrible, the company just takes your money and makes your wait for months after your purchase. I would advise anyone who wants to be able to drive a car they buy to take their business as far away from here. Worst car buying experience of my life.

Waited over 5 months for a title. Vehicle was returned because of this and additional three months still have not received a refund. Report filed with attorney general and the PA auto association.

Horrible customer service. Fraudulent behavior. Purchased a Mercedes that wasn’t advertised as previously Canadian. The car shows up with summer tires in the snow and a check engine light on the dash. Take it to Mercedes for warranty and recalls and am told the car is not under any warranty (should have 1 year remaining) because it was of Canadian origin. An arbitrator named Michael Shively closed out our arbitration case before we could even provide him the documentation. He suggested that we call back and speak to an arbitration manager. That was over three weeks ago and nobody has called us back with about 10 calls into their customer service . Absolutely awful.

Worst Manheim Auction that I’ve dealt with. I bought a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis with 47k miles. CR was 4.8 and no mention of rust. I’m from North Carolina and bought it online. The car was transported to me. It was so severely rusted underneath that it looked like it had sat in the Atlantic Ocean. Emergency brake cable was rusted into. Tires were rotten. It’s a road hazard that is unsafe to drive. I can’t even get it inspected here it’s so bad. What others are saying about the arbitration system here is correct. They no doubt favor the local crooks! I now have a car that I can’t sell due to severe rust that wasn’t noted on the 4.8 CR! One would think that the inspector was in the pocket of the local crook. I will NEVER buy from a Manheim Auction North of the Mason Dixon Line ever again! NEVER!

Folk are nice here. The place is too big and I wish they would have told me that someone will give me a ride but instead I walked around the whole place to find the car.

The original and one of the best. The auctioneers do tend to play favourites but you can’t beat the selection. First came here in 1998 as a youngster. Still look forward to high line day. 4 stars. With quality control could be 5

the arbitration department at this auction is unprofessional fabricators and over all unfit to have a position as such starting off with Jaqueline Harbon. The experience here has made it very stressful buying vehicles from this auction house, shame on the staff the upper management need to do better and I will continue to post on the interaction

I arrived on Friday and couldn't pick up two Rivians, they didn't have charging. They wouldn't start. . The security guards promised that they would be charged on Saturday, but on Saturday they said that they would be charged only on Monday. I lost a lot of time and money because of them.

February 19th trip, long day. Did the trip in 20 1/2 hours, will think twice the next time. Gator and I had a good time though, long way to drive to bring back a 2014 deisel pickup. It was in really good shape though.

First impression was the security, they were very unprofessional and didn’t know directions around the lots. Second impression was the shuttle drivers, they were ignorant, drove erratically, and treated you like a inconvience. Third and final impression was the office staff where payment is received, down right disrespectful. Terrible service and egregious amounts of disrespect from every level.

No idea how they have a 4.2 rating I have never been somewhere where I was treated with so much disrespect and been around a rude bunch of people from the van driver to the office personnel to security, Everybody was downright ignorant for no reason. The personnel was also so unhelpful and unfamiliar with what was going on. I have called the manager twice and left voicemails with no call back. We will no longer be doing any business with Mannheim/Cox brothers

Be prepared! There are a bunch of lanes. If in person be sure to have a few people with you. Typical Manheim auction though. Always double check what you are bidding on and watch who is bidding against you. That soda machine is a strong buyer sometimes

I cannot thank the staff here enough for helping me get my car back. My car was sent here by mistake when the original company confirmed it shouldn’t have been repoed. Carol worked with me to get my car closer to me so I didn’t have to drive 5 hours to retrieve it. They were all very friendly and understanding. Make my rough situation better!!

I bought 8 cars in 1 day all green light and when I went to pick up the cars one didn’t start and all other 7 had issue I put them in arbitration they tell you it less then $500 to fix mean while it costed me $1700 . Now the other 7 cars 4 still in arbitration it’s been 3 weeks and the other 3 cars they find excuses that don’t make sense just to get you bad. Very very rude employee in every field, every single from the Rocky to the manger are Liars. I will never buy again from pa and I don’t recommend anyone else.

They are great at what they do, perfection is put into each car, truck to make sure it is ready. Detailing is the best, car, truck looks new.

This yard is just massive! Staff was very friendly and just a enormous inventory from cheap cars to exotics I have seen it all here! Definitely a place to check out if you are in the auction industry!

This Manheim is the BEST‼️ I went on Friday March 22 of 2018!fir the first time ever and this Manheim outstanding, I must say you need money to buy from here, the lanes are super clean. They have apples ? ? for you when you walk in. The food is outstanding in the cafeteria. The cars are so official. I had the best experiences with the Manheim. Even waiting for the titles are fast. Perfect

This place is awesome. I've been going to auctions for close to 10 years now for my business and this auction is one of my favorites. Its massive in size with an amazing selection of all types of vehicles. Cars for a couple hundred dollars all the way to high end exotics. The staff is extremely friendly as well. If your a dealer and are in the area then this is the place for you. Manheim has many auctions all over as well and they are all great for the most part and all very different in there own way.

This is one of most organized auctions I've been to. Incredible operation given the volume of vehicles they run!

Dealers only first of all. Biggest and best auction in the world. You will see it here before you will see it anywhere! Joey Hughes is an outstanding manager and keeps this place running like a finely tuned machine. Rain or shine - snow or ice - this place kicks it into gear and never lets you down. At over 500 acres, this is the biggest car auction in the world and it is one of the most organized auctions I've been to with the exceptional customer service. I've got nothing but good things to say about this place, its employees, and it's management. Keep up the great work!
