This is the best recycle facility in Davidson County and possibly North Carolina. They keep their facility cleaner than any other. They have always paid the best prices as I have done business with them over 20 years. They only continue to expand. The owner Josh is a great guy. They are all super professional and nice. I highly recommend

Driver driving down the free way with trash boxes and lids of boxes and plastic going all over. Slowed traffic and is just lazy. Tried to tell the driver and got the meanest look ever
Pilgrim metal & Core ain’t a bad recycling center, Leonard’s usually pays better, that’s why they keep so much business, but for what it cost in gas and a wait til to get through at Leonard’s salvage, it’s just as good and makes more sense to go to pilgrims, I will say this, Pilgrims has some amazing employees, very helpful, and will help separate what you need to, to maximize your payment, sometimes it’s good, sometimes not so much, but it’s literally nothing but junk so might as well get something, It is hard to get them to take a catalytic converter though, I have one with a hole, worth 220.00 and I’ve had it for a year because nobody wants to take it without paperwork, a car, etc, people that deal in them say they will give me 50 bucks for it, I told them a 100.00, but everyone wants almost 75% profit, even though all they have to do is sell it and make 120 bucks, but I’ll let it hang in my building first. lol ain’t happening.
Pretty disappointed. They approached our shop with a lot of promises about picking up our scrap, weighing it up, and bringing cash back to us. Problem is I'd have to contact them after for payment, sometimes 2-3 wks later we'd get it.
This last time I told Jason I had catalytic converters (I normally have someone else buy them and wanted to see what they'd offer) and he said they would send someone with cash for them, and also grab all the scrap we had. His guy showed up without cash and took everything back to their yard. Nobody contacted me after, so I had no say in the price for the cats and couldn't get them back. When I brought it up to Jason when I hadn't been paid for wks, he said "This isn't going to work out", as if we're the problem.
They brought payment by later that day. They paid me just $100 for 4 cats, when my normal guy pays between $100-200 each. And that last load of scrap was rang up as steel/cast; I didn't get paid for any aluminum or small motors/other items like I usually do. That was the most scrap I ever had for them, and somehow was the least I ever got paid, just $51.
Was my first time up there and hopefully my last money was fair but one of there employees tried to fight me because he thaught I was someone else. Would not recommend if you prefer a professional experience
Me an my husband will not be goin back..theyre a rip off with prices...there local but i will travel know...will not be goin back after my experences...
I'm a pretty regular customer here but I have to say, they're probably the lowest paying scrap yard around. And if you don't go in and watch them separate your metal you'll get paid all in steel weight. Just a warning
I have always enjoyed doing Business with Pilgrim Metal & Core! The Owners and their employees are always polite and very helpful when asked questions. I Manage/Oversee a collection of Rental Property here in Lexington and I bring all our outdated Appliances here to be recycled/disposed of properly.
Great place to recycle ferrous and non ferrous metals. Everything from aluminum cans to some electronics. Competitive pricing and friendly, family oriented staff will help you get the most for your commodity.
Yet again I have left pilgrim feeling robbed! What should have been $200 was$50 at $.03 lb. everyone else is at $.07! I stepped away from them years ago when they were in Davie county because of the low prices and will not go back! After unloading do you find out that they are less than half what the competitors are paying!
Great people. It’s a Non- Ferrous metal yard. As well as auto parts. They pay top dollar, and separate your stuff. The are fair and honest. Friendly and helpful! The are also one of the only electronic recyclers in and around Davidson County. I highly recommend for everyone to try them out!
These are good people have done alot of business with them over the years they have certified scales that are checked randomly by the state and pay fair market prices
I went there b/c they didn't close for lunch and was in hurry. One of my other 2 were closed for lunch and the other one didn't look like they had been open all day the particular day I went. Found out the hard way they are Too. Cheap. At least on aluminum . And I know weight matters. But not TWICE AS LOW. I made Half of what I could have. One place $35. 4 wheels. Pilgrims. $16. I could have cried. Want go back unless I absolutely have to.
