Was in an accident about a month ago, when the driver came to tow away my pick up truck he failed to secure all my belongings in my truck resulting in somebody driving by and taking my toolbox with 6 grand worth of tools under their noses.

These people suck!!! Dishonest, disrespectful and rude as hell! They put my daughter in harms way. Her car was in an accident and the vehicle was brought in to E&J in January and released in March. They knew she was moving to CO & the car was being shipped there. Geico paid them over $2K for repairs they never did. It’s criminal & I’m happy to hear that Geico is going after them. Rot in hell E&J😡

E & J did a fabulous job on my car! Had a small fender bender they fixed beautifully. They handled the insurance part with no problems. Staff was so friendly and everyone was professional. Being new to the area we appreciated meeting such friendly people who did an awesome job! They even washed my car inside and out!!

Initially gave 2 stars as I did eventually get my car back after 6 months and 4 trips attempts at repairs. But after recent repairs with another company for a new issue, several other issues were reported, I'm dropping it to the 1 they deserve. They put the new rim in my trunk instead of changing the damaged tire. Didn't hook up wiper fluid lines. Paint job was a mess. They NEVER ONCE CALLED ME. Every 1-2 weeks I would call in for updates to be told "next week" for 6 months. They didn't even call me when it was finally done, I had to call them and be told it had been done for over a day. Head guy was extremely rude to me, although he was nice to my husband. DO NOT GO THERE! Especially if you are a woman

About 9 years ago I had a vehicle that I brought in for repairs under an insurance claim, and they replaced the door on my vehicle with a door from another vehicle of the same make and model but different color. I drove around in a silver mustang with the interior of the replaced door being fire engine red, not silver. E&J would not fix the mistake, claiming they were not liable to do so since they were not a preferred member of my insurance. A couple of days ago a deer hit my car and busted out my front left headlamp, broke the front bumper, dented the driver side door, broke the trim off the back driver side tire, and damaged my radiator. The estimate from E&J was performed on January 16th. They cannot not get my vehicle serviced until April 15th, which is absolutely absurd when driving with a seriously damaged vehicle. I ended up taking my car to another body shop, The Ultimate Body Shop in Kinston (another approved insurance repair shop) and the gentleman that does their estimates discovered damage to my radiator which was totally omitted from the lazy estimate that I received from the gentleman at E&J. The gentleman who does estimates at E&J was more concerned about getting me a check for his estimated cost of repair instead of actually repairing my vehicle; however, his estimate was almost $1,000 short of actual damage done to the car. Unless you are a member of local law enforcement or you are paying for customizations out of pocket this place does not give two flips about your vehicle actually being repaired properly or to your satisfaction. I would rather drive to another zip code before having any of my vehicles repaired by this so-called establishment anytime in the foreseeable future. His lackadaisical estimate could have manifested into massive amounts of repairs down the road just because, it was obvious, they did not want to work on my vehicle and perform proper repairs, again! The award from 2022 to 2023 for collision auto body repair has to be a farce because they really don't give two flips about insurance repairs, only out of pocket customers. If you want your vehicle repaired correctly, I strongly suggest you get a second opinion after visiting E&J. You will probably be surprised at what they miss. A damaged radiator is nothing to laugh at, but apparently it's not worth the estimator's time to even assess. If it were possible I would give this organization negative Stars, but Google will not allow for such honesty.

I wish this was zero stars. I never leave bad reviews but this company, one employee in particular, was so rude, for absolutely no reason. Long story but the woman doesn’t need to be working in any customer service capacity in any field. I was polite, trying to get the issue resolved. Someone else drove my car, and it was towed to their lot. With a wallet full of cash, credit cards, my personal items, etc. I was out of town and trying my best to get it out. I asked questions and she never would give a straight answer or referred me to someone else. I asked if I could call a state trooper to escort my friend to get my stuff out. The car’s in my name only. She replied that “If you think you’ve got that much clout, go ahead and try it!” I called the absolutely WONDERFUL New Bern State Patrol to accompany my friend to retrieve my personal property. The Highway Patrol in New Bern is the most helpful and top notch agency I’ve ever dealt with.

I called them at about 10:40am and asked them to pick up a vehicle for me. They said they would have to see if they were able to take care of me today. By 11:10, my truck was on their tow truck. The driver was very nice and helpful, and the customer service with the ladies on the phone was second to none! Thank you E&J for your professionalism both in the office and those that tow. I will recommend you to anyone anytime!

Friendly and very helpful in person and over the phone. It took some time to get to my car but that is to be expected this day and time BUT it was worth the wait! Car body work was done perfectly, ready when they said it would be, and car was cleaned inside and out. Highly recommend this business.

Went in for an insurance estimate this morning. I arrived early and was greeted by staff with smiles and good mornings. They took care of my estimate and answered all my questions about the process. They even provided me with some tips to help save me some money for extra work done while getting the insurance repair done. Very courteous and professional staff. It was a great first experience. I went there because I have heard great things about their repair work. So far, they are off to a great start, in my humble opinion.

After the incident, they immediately came to tow our vehicle. They even helped to coordinate with the insurance company on pickup of the vehicle. They took our license plate off for us and helped to retrieve items out of our vehicle.

Joe Kramer took care of our 2021 Cadillac damage and did a great job last week. Today he took care of our 2015 Subaru that someone backed into and broke the driver side back light and scratched white paint below the light. And again Joe did us good job! He is the best and we would recommend everyone to go to E&J Automotive, Inc. Great people there!

A deer ran out in front of me back in late March 2022 and tore up the passenger side of my car. The team at E & J has been great— especially Joe and the receptionists. They got my car repaired in a timely manner and were nice enough to vacuum it out and do my inspection while it was in the shop. This was my first time ever getting into an accident and having to file a claim, but GEICO and E & J have taken really great care of everything, so I am happy to know I am in good hands should anything happen in the future. I will recommend them to anyone needing services. My car looks amazing and brand new (I posted a before and after photo as well). Thank you guys so much!

Noticed an accident to the hood of my car that happened while it in their care and they are going to resolve that issue without hesitation. I love the quality of their work and the staff there is professional and friendly.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. I was in an accident, and I have Nationwide Insurance. They recommended me to come here. When I arrived at E&J, my insurance company had arranged for a rental car for me. I was unable to open my drivers side car door due to my accident. When I arrived at E&J, their staff came out to look at my car. They went in and got a tool and did something to my car to make the door able to temporarily open, then told me that I don’t need a rental now. He didn’t ask for my permission, he didn’t do an estimate, he touched my car and did something to it to temporarily make it so that I didn’t need a rental. Who alters a damaged vehicle without telling a person what they’re doing why they’re doing it and without even knowing whether the person has taken pictures. Also, knowing that an official estimate has not been done. Nationwide said that they’ve never encountered this before. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE.

For three weeks, I called once every single week, they told me my car would "be done next week, for sure. They're just putting it back together." After a month there, I finally decided to ask to speak to the man who did my quote (lady behind the desk knew absolutely nothing), complained to him about what's goin on and only after speaking to him, I got my car the next day.

I have a 2019 white vehicle that I noticed recently the paint yellowing. Panicking and not knowing what was causing this I contacted E&J for help. From the conversation on the phone to their help in removing this I couldn’t have been happier. Everyone was so nice and helpful and my car now looks amazing! They explained to me that the water I use to wash my vehicle was causing this due to having well water. This is a top notch business that I will be sure to highly recommend to anyone in the future.

Having never been in a wreck that left my vehicle damaged to where it could not be driven, I relied on my insurance company, Liberty Mutual, to guide me through the process. The wreck occurred just after 4PM on Tuesday Nov 10th. The Police department asked who I wanted to tow my vehicle, and said I didn't have any preference (I regret that now). The Police officer told me they have a rotation they use for towing services, so I would assume that this was E&J's time up in the rotation. My vehicle was towed to their shop a couple miles away. My insurance company told me to give E&J verbal authorization to release the vehicle to them and Liberty Mutual would send a 3rd party towing service to take it to the appropriate shop for the insurance adjuster to begin the inspection. I called E&J prior to them closing on Tuesday and gave them over-the-phone authorization to release the vehicle to Liberty Mutual. I also informed E&J that I would be stopping by the following morning to pick up some personal items in the vehicle and removing the license plate (license plate removal also recommended by the insurance company). I got there Wednesday Nov 11th around lunchtime and removed the license plate and got the last of my personal items from the vehicle. This time face-to-face, I gave authorization for them to release the vehicle to Liberty Mutual. I pass by the body shop on my way to work. Returning to work Monday Nov 16th after the weekend, I noticed the vehicle was still on their lot. I called my insurance company and complained that they had not come to pick up my vehicle. The insurance adjust told me they have tried more than once already to pick it up and E&J would not release it to them because I had not given them authorization. I then called E&J and spoke to the same individual from both occasions last Tuesday and Wednesday. I asked if they had any documentation of the insurance company attempting to pick up my vehicle. The individual changed the subject even though I asked multiple times and told him repeatedly that he still hasn't answered my question. Frustrated at this point, I told him that I gave them authorization to release the vehicle to Liberty Mutual on two separate occasions, one was via telephone and the other was in person. I also told him that it seems like they purposefully failed to release the vehicle so it can rack up storage fees on the lot. After I said that, the response seemed almost rehearsed when he told me that I don't have any documentation proving that I told them to release it. Those were the exact words. I called the New Bern Police department front desk and made a complaint suggesting that E&J be removed from their towing rotation after explaining the entire situation. The lady I spoke to at the front desk took my phone number and said she'd run it up her chain of command. Seeing as how there was no report number given to me, I am not certain that anything meaningful will happen. This is my life. I am in a rental, and my insurance company is now delayed 6 days in evaluating the damages to my vehicle to see if it is totaled or not. It's not even about me paying the storage fees, because the insurance company will eat that cost. At the very least, this is not how you treat people, at most, they lied to me and the insurance company, committing insurance fraud, which nobody can prove because there is no "documentation". Maybe it's because they know I am not a paying customer, but I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking towing services.

I obtained their services to repaint the finders and front bumper on my Kenworth T680. The paint was starting to chip pretty badly because the previous painter didn't add a clear coat. By the time the professionals at E & J Automotive finished with my truck I wished I had the time for them to paint the entire truck! They did a superb paint job. The work is truly to notch. I found out later that they also did some work on my mother's Nissan Altima and had also done an outstanding job with it. I would highly recommend this location for any body work and paint needs you may have.

Took my car to E&J in May 2019 My 2014 White Chrysler 300 Uptown Edition was hit by an 18 wheeler when the light turned green at an intersection. There was $7,895 worth of damage done. I always keep my car clean. I wash my car twice a week. When I got my car back I'm telling you it looked brand new! I could not even tell after an up close inspection where the original damage had occurred, that's how good it looked. Joe Cramer who I knew from high school, and his team did an EXCELLENT JOB on my car. If you could see the damage when I took it in you wouldn't believe it either. Thank you Joe!!!

I have got my truck back from E&J and i am so impressed. The hurricanes have slowed everybody down, and it took a little longer, but that's expected. The work is excellent and it looks far better than it was! I believe E&J will be my #1 choice for body work in the future.

Took my wife's car down to them. When finished they called and said it was ready. She picks it up. Damage on passenger side fixed properly paint looked great. But I noticed they had not repaired front bumper. So I took a look at the estimate in which insurance was paying. Showed on estimate labor for r/r front bumper cover and overhaul. Along with paint labor. So i knew then it had not been done. Along with wrong clips in fender liners. WHITE CLIPS IN FENDER LINERS AND IT'S A BLACK CAR. Talk about miss match. So they said there had been a screw up on insurance end but they would take car of it. Not sure how that could be the case when it was on the estimate to begin with but whatever. She takes it back and they do the repair. She goes to pick it up. Scuff Mark on driver side of bumper. They got irritated when she pointed it out and said they would fix it. Finally got it done. Looks goid but went through hell to get it that way. Never will any of our vehicles return to that place.

Horrible experience. When I got the call to pick up my vehicle the damage was not fixed correct. Note I was told my vehicle came out beautiful from management I refused to take it. There was still damage, not repaired. The whole reason why took it to the shop to begin with. On top of that my vehicle was filthy paint dust inside and out. Some how I had an extra 3miles put on my vehicle that I question and they told me it was from driving around the shop. No way anyone could put 3 miles on it with out leaving property. I have pictures of mileage to prove this with date and times! Nothing but liars that don't care about customers! Seems they want your money and do a half way job and try to get you out! I'm very meticulous when it comes to my vehicle's. I brought my vehicle in fully clean and detailed. When I finally got it back. It was still dirty. Inside and out and had other damage done to interior the shop said they didn't do. Whe I finally got it home and cleaned it up the way I had it before the shop worked on it. I noticed 2 new dings in the bottom of my rear door, minor but we're not there prior to shop working on it. I wish I would of notice it when I picked it up but it was dirty and I was about fed up at that point! Bottom line absolutely horrible experience and I will never do any business with them ever again! I'm paying someone else out of pocket to fix dings in door. I would not recommend them to anyone. No stars if I could!! Terrible experience!!
