Trying to cancel my services since 2/17. They wont call me back. Shut down Auto Draft and wont pay them another dime. hopefully they remove their dumpster. Horrible company and worse management.

GFL SUCKS. ZERO Customer "Service" Telephone calls go unanswered - or transferred to corporate where more people that don't give a crap work. Account rep? What a joke. they get rid of a Rep and nobody gets notified. Nobody picks up the account. Nobody is responsive. What a CLUSTER!

We got skipped again for the 100th since we have lived here in newbern. Yet this time they took my stickers and left my trash can full! Ridiculous. Now I have to wait for them to come back... reading these reviews, I hope they actually show up.

Do NOT I REPEAT DO NOT use these services. They missed pick-up more times than they ever picked up, then we cancelled service in November it took them 2 weeks they picked up the can just after Thanksgiving. They still tried to charge me in December so we called the person said it was $0 and fixed ... Then I get a notice for a late fee..... Call again she said okay $0 it's fixed... Yesterday I get a collections notice😡 This company is shady and needs to be shut down!

Hands down the worst ran trash company you could imagine. They need to fire all management, and start from scratch. 4 weeks 9 calls still no trash cans. I can't even make up how bad they are.. Update: called corporate twice, told twice I would be called back. Neither happened. Told twice it was escalated... GFL has yet to follow through at any level... we are now at 11 phone calls and zero follow through. 0-11 not one person has stepped up to get things handled. Now come to find out after phone call number 12 I've been lied to for the last 3 weeks and nobody has had the goal enough to be up front and be honest in this company. Until the lady I just spoke to. I'm going to keep updating on the progress until I have a trash can. I was told there was a trash can shortage, however amethyst and crystal said they had a few trash cans out back. We even offered to go pick one up ourselves.

I never leave reviews but it seems necessary to warn others. I wish I saw these reviews before signing up for this trash service when we moved into our new home. It was extremely difficult to sign up and get consistent information from anyone, that is if I could get anyone on the phone. I should’ve taken this as a deterrent but not many trash companies service our area so I followed through. They were happy to take over $115 from us to start our service, promising that even if our cans weren’t delivered by the next trash day, that we could leave our bags on the curb for collection. We did as such, left town for a few days to come back to our trash and recycling still on the curb. So embarrassing to come across as slobs to our new neighbors! I’ve now been on hold for near collective hour between the several phone numbers listed trying to get through to ANYONE to cancel our service and demand a refund. Post phone call - the corporate office “has no control” over the refund format - electronic vs check. I was told that our refund will arrive in the form of a check a FEW MONTHS from now. What does that even mean? Next month? This summer? Maybe we’ll get it as a Christmas bonus next year. I have absolutely no faith that we will actually get our money back from this company given our extremely frustrating experience with them so far. STAY. AWAY. It’s a scam.

This operation runs rather well, even in bad weather. In a time when employees are hard to find and retain, they still push though. There may be days when they might be running a few hours behind, they find a way to get their tasks done. We have our home service, and a dumpster at a business and have no problems, and in the past when we have called the office with request, we are always met with a friendly voice.

The are overpriced and continue to hike up their rate several times a year. The website states they offer a senior discount, but customer service rep stated that don't honor that at their location. Completely agree the customer service is not at the level it should be. Too bad there are no other options in Trent Woods other than buying our own can and purchasing stickers all the time!

We have put a trash can out 2 weeks in a row WITH THE TRASH STICKERS ON IT! Why has it NOT been picked up. They usually get it...if you can't see it how about get someone who can! Beyond angry! Sorriest bunch of people! SORRY SORRY SORRY! Maybe yall should just close because your ratings are horrible!

If I could leave a negative rating I would. I canceled service after numerous missed pick ups over 3 years, poor customer service, and thats not even mentioning all the other aggravating issues that happened. The last straw was an attempted rate increase for service that was definitely hit or miss weekly. Before I canceled i made sure that I would not owe anything, low and behold, I received a bill for $70. When I called to get this mistake corrected I had an unpleasant conversation with someone lady who made sure to inform me that she was from corporate first, then went on to explain that the charge was for picking up the container. Guess what....they never picked up the container. I still have it....so long story short 4 months later they are still trying to charge me for a service I never received. If you like giving your money out for nothing in return this is where you need to go, if not then I would highly recommend WM for residential trash services. GFL is a scam and a joke.

I initially had a hard time getting a hold of the company during the work week. When I was able to speak with somebody, she was very helpful and kind. She was able to help me get the service I needed and quickly.

They can't consistently pick up trash if their life depended upon it. Very unprofessional. The ladies up front are gross, all they do is hang up in your face when you mention missed pickup. That's probably why Amethyst was fired from My eye dr. 😬😬

Never seen a company so comfortable with hanging up on their customers, amethyst and crystal should NOT be working in customer service. I had my trash get skipped last week, and when I called to get it resolved, they got rude and both hung up on me. I finally got through to the manager and he was actually a reasonable and kind person. But the people doing customer service are very nasty people who have no business dealing with customers. That's probably why amethyst was fired from her last customer service job with MyEyeDr. Terrible, terrible customer service.

Worst company ever, if it wasn’t for the community I live in having a contract with this horrible company I wouldn’t be using them. if you like late trash pick ups or no pick ups, garbage thrown all over your yard, your cars hit with the garbage cans because of negligence and just pure laziness and love to live in trash this company is for you! Otherwise look elsewhere. Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting.

So frustrating that my garbage cans are always the ones left behind. At least once a month I’m having to call them up and tell the lady answering the phone “They missed it AGAIN! What is going on?, etc” There is no reason for this! I put my garbage out on Monday night for pickup on early Wednesday morning so I know it is out there. There’s stickers on each one! They are NOT over packed with heavy items! They are very close to the road! No non garbage items are in them!They each have lids on them! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? Why am I having to call every few weeks to come back and grab my garbage? If I’m doing something incorrectly please let me know so I can make corrections. This is ridiculous!!!!

Had an issue recently, which was my own fault to be honest, and got help from Amethyst. Very kind, and extremely helpful. It was a pleasure working with her. Everything was also resolved in half the time that she suggested it would be.

They are in the business of picking up garbage but their service is TRASH! If anything falls out of your trash can when they are dumping it, they will NOT get out of the truck and pick it up. LAZY! They should actually get a ticket for littering. It’s always fun to come home from work on trash day to pick up the trash they left behind on the street and put it back in the trash can for the second time. Good times.

I share the same frustration as others. Our trashcan was only partially emptied. We called right away while the truck was still in the neighborhood and were told they’d return within 24 hours—but no one came. We waited until Monday and called again, and were assured someone would be out that day or the next. Both days passed, and still no one showed up. Now our trashcan is overflowing.

Like many others we have experienced the trucks skipping pick ups on at least 6 different occasions. You call and get told a truck will come the next day and they never show. It’s ridiculous to pay every quarter for trash service and then still have to pay to go drop it off.

Always doing good work, picking up my trash. On Mondays, when I'm home and hear the garbage truck coming down, I take my boys out to watch because they love big trucks. Every garbage truck driver takes the time to wave to my boys or honk the horn. Amazing part of the community and appreciate the hard work 🥰

For residential services they miss a pick up at least once a month. They’ll also skip the twice monthly recycling leaving you without the service for over a month while you still pay for it. I once called about a skipped trash pick up and the next morning a truck came and threw my can in the middle of the street two houses down. Then they’ll charge you about 100 dollars to come pick up the can after you cancel. There are plenty of other options in the area that are cheaper and more reliable.

There is no real explanation on their bill about a $45 pick up fee of the trash can when you give them enough notice to cancel your service. Then it took them a month to come pick it up! Called to have the extra fees added to the bill removed I was given the run around. They hardly ever pick up on the right days or weekly for that matter. Very unprofessional. Don’t waste your time! I have called that number and was basically told there was nothing that could be done and no one can tell me where it says there is a fee for cancellation of service in the 30 day time frame. My account was never delinquent yet I’m being punished.

Amethyst provided detailed information on how trash collection service works, and getting it started. I received my trash cart a few days later and she followed up with me about the next phase. She contacted me and was apologetic throughout the process. I'm happy to have a means to dispose of my household trash and not worry about having to burn it. Shaquoia, was also understanding and answered questions relating to the initial payment process. I thank both Amethyst and Shaquoia for helping me from start to finish!

GFL is the worst possible service that we have ever had. Gfl constantly and consistently misses our scheduled pickup days. When you call gfl they have the worse customer service and act as if it is not a big deal, they claim they put it in system as missed service and it will be picked up within 24hrs-48hrs and the never show up until next service date. They prioritize new customers signing up for service over existing customers. 910 SEEMS TO BE A BETTER SERVICE PROVIDER ALL OF MY NEIGHBORS WITH 910 SERVICE GARBAGE IS CONSTANTLY PICKED UP ON TIME EVERYTIME. I WILL BE SWITCHING SERVICE PROVIDERS AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND OTHERS TO STEER CLEAR OF GFL AND THEIR HORRIBLE UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE.

They would sometimes not pick up the waste (lack of staff). Other times they would sprinkle waste all over the yard when loading their truck (improperly trained employees), and the big issue was that they sent my bill to collections even though I paid it (Poorly managed records). The people are nice enough, but it is just poorly managed. If I had to guess the people paying for the staff are too tight on their money to provide enough resources for a smoothly run operation. I say this because I never once felt it was due to anyone being incompetent or lazy. They fixed the issues when brought to their attention and did it promptly. That said, sending my bill to collections when it was paid is too much for me. I went with someone else.

The only reason they get two stars is that some of the ladies at the front desk are nice and genuinely try to help. Unfortunately, the company is missing the mark in many other areas. I have a large family, and they kept missing pickup days, which left trash piling up at my house. Despite paying for an extra trash can and calling several times over the last two months, we still haven't received it. Last week, I was assured it would be delivered the next day, but here we are on trash day, and we still only have one can. This also causes more work on the driver because he has to get out and hand load the items. I wish there were other options for service in our area, but unfortunately, GFL is the only one we've found.

A well earned rating of one star. Terrible service. Not only are they late 100% of the time but you cannot cancel in the middle of the “term” because they do not care about customers. So if you cancel in July, you’re still paying for the next two months. Absolutely garbage company. They will also send you to collections if you wait 2weeks to pay the bill while you’re in the middle of moving.
