What clients say about Rushing Duck Brewing in Chichester (NY)

The OG local craft brewer. A big selection of excellent beers and the friendliest staff in the business.

Came up from NYC to visit this area twice in the last couple months and had a fantastic evening both times at Rushing Duck! Excellent variety of craft beers, appropriate for the seasons, and both the owners and clientele could not have been more warm, welcoming, and overall delightful. The friendly crowd really comes out for Trivia Thursdays, not to be missed, which also involves one excellent mobile food vendor or another (thank you Pizza Moto and Long Toast!). Great vibe, great beer (also wine and NA choices), and wonderful people. Go here now!

Good place to stop for a beer if you're walking or biking the Heritage Trail. They've got a bike rack in the back and lots of outdoor seating. Many local brews on tap.

It is the perfect time of year to enjoy this brewery. It has a great outdoor space and everything was open inside to let the breeze in. To top it off, they have a great beer selection to even cater to us dark beer fans. I enjoyed it all and the live music and food truck was the icing on the cake. I will be back

Enjoyed ourselves excellent choice of beers, the bartenders were excellent very attentive and knowledgeable thanks Elizabeth and Nikki. Food on premises was very good Taiwan influenced fair. Would recommend for a casual easy time out

Attended outdoor music event. Great vibe. Staff friendly. Lots of beer choices including NA. Thai food Truck served up some tasty food. While the Brewery is tucked away in Chester, it's worth the drive from anywhere in Hudson Valley/Northern New Jersey area

Friendly and welcoming staff, clean bathroom, and great even for nondrinkers with a good selection of soda and seltzers. Indoor/outdoor setup had a nice crossbreeze on a hot day.

My kind of brewery. Focuses on a good selection and variety of beers, instead of just IPAs and sours like nearby breweries, and good food trucks and guest cooks (try the Thai food!). I like all of the breweries in the region, but Rushing Duck is the only one that seems to focus on actually making the best beers possible, and creating a relaxed atmosphere to hang out in.

Fantastic brewery with the black dirt in the background. Nice local food vendors also. The 1000 earthquakes was particularly good if you like ipas

Great prices! Great selection! It was exciting to see so many options of dark beer. So yummy! We loved the chai stout.

Excellent beer and sider! An idilic pastoral location with various food trucks providing sustenance. We had great tacos from the truck. My favorite cider is Sad Panda. If you like dry sour cider, this is the best. And the customer service is the best.

This place had been on my radar for years but only just got the opportunity to stop in. Hard to find (driving straight at several “do not enter” signs, tough to tell which side branch they are talking about?) Unmarked parking lot. Tap room is a garage. Outdoor areas are nice (beware of bees on the clover in the field). Most of their ipa’s came across as astringent and “catty” to my palate. Staff refused to sell individual cans, only purchasable as 4 paks.

Awesome brewery, here's what you need to know: First the location is beautiful, but the main reason for a brewery is the beer, right? Well this place does not disappoint. Our party tried a wide assortment, and they all were amazing, plus the bartenders are willing to provide a quick taste to ensure it's your style. Additionally, there's a food truck on the side with delicious food. Hope to go back soon!

First, let me start by saying that the location is perfect, right off the trail, easy off and easy on. Set up of brewery was fantastic, large doors, rolled up so even if you sit inside it is very open and airflow is great, we chose this option as it enabled us to park our bikes directly next to our table and we didn't have to go through the trouble of locking them up. There is also a fenced in back area with plenty of picnic tables. Next, and most importantly, the beer was phenomenal. I had an easy drinking Belgium ale and hubby had a Belgium quad, we split each one so we could each try them. Both were amazing but the quad was out of this world! Definitely coming back here! Love trying new varieties. They keep the menu fresh and updated. Tried a new west coast ipa. Was not too hoppy with great flavor and a nice finish! We come here at least once a month when biking and it never disappoints!

Beer is very subjective to the beer drinker. I found that the beer here wasn't that good. That doesn't mean that someone else wont enjoy it. Tried 3 different varieties of beer, stout, ne IPA and a dark wit. Nothing was really captivating or note worthy. Just .... Beer. The cat was a lovely surprise and made for good company. Still worth a stop , just not impressive compared to what is in the area.

We stopped into Rushing Duck for a quick beer, which ended up turning into two because we enjoyed our time there so much! It is on a quiet street so I wonder how the neighbors tolerate it. There was plenty of parking and seating. Since it was nice out, all the garage doors were open creating an indoor/outdoor area. They even had food trucks that you could order from. I highly recommend stopping in for a drink and grabbing some beers to go!

I just love this brewery! Wonderful selection of beers that taste exceptionally. Never a waste of time. Instead a great taste of beer! ?

great beers, although King James IPA is inconsistent but still good! food truck is absolutely ridiculous, they make you wait in line 15 mins then tell you comeback in 10 mins, only to ask you again to comeback in 10 mins because they can't take order right now.. if you see truck in picture dont order from them.. RDR beers are good Ded Moroz is excellent , but have to wait for Christmas

Had a great time here the other day. Super good about safety rules and all the guests were very good about following too. Loved the selection of beer on tap!! Perfect weather also made the experience great but definitely worth a stop here!

Besides the great tasting beers....this place is great. Fantastic tasting room. Great food bistro truck in front. Awesome large out door seating area with plenty of room. Then of course the brew...a great selection. IPA heavy. But...several other styles for your taste buds to expand. So stop on by, bring some friends, and have a great time

Another perfect brewery! I focused on RD’s dark side and they didn’t disappoint. The Beanhead Porter Nitro was smooth and delicious. My favorite, by far, was the Chained to the Dead Imperial Stout. The War Elephant DIPA was also excellent. 4 oz samples were reasonably priced at $2 or you can order a pint. I’ll definitely visit again.

Great low-key place for excellent beer. We enjoyed the IPAs & Pales the most. Food truck (Bistro something?) was solid too. Long term I hope they do more with the interior of this place. It's a great space they just haven't done much with it yet. Maybe some funky duck themed artwork? Also it would be nice if it was kept warmer - we visited on a cool & rainy day and it even felt cold and dreary inside!

Great spot for a delicious set of beers (with a delicious porter nitro to boot). Great food truck attached (Bistro) with a Chicago dog just like Portillo's, and a Pretzel Brat that's oh so delicious. Pints are $5, 4oz are $2 or $3. Has outdoor tables for relaxation.

They just opened a new tasting room on the weekends with a nice big selection on tap. All types of beer for all people. My favorite is the war elephant. Nice level ABV too!

This is a nice hidden brewery with a wide selection of beers on tap. There isn't much seating, but it is worth a visit!

Decent beer selection at modest prices. You can get a flight of 5 4oz pours for $9, but that's pretty much it. No food whatsoever in this tiny little brewery, but they do allow outside deliveries or bring your own.
