Unprofessional staff charging additional items to receipt not in cart!
During checkout, female cashier rung up produce as wrong item. I told her it was wrong, and she immediately came back with a nasty attitude, and continued to audibly complain during the rest of the transaction. When I got home, I saw that she never removed the charge for the wrong item, so I was charged twice for the same produce. Receipt was dated 2/14/2026 12:51pm for $155.40 so management can look up who the staff member was.Feb 16, 2026 -
The Breads are really good and fresh. I like that the produce is also fresh. Quick lines and top notch helpful security

I’m a regular Whole Foods customer and I’ve honestly been surprised by some of the customer service and overall store experience lately. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve had a few interactions that felt dismissive and unhelpful.
At the deli counter, there’s a young woman working there who comes across as consistently uninterested and short with customers. It’s confusing to me how this level of service is being allowed to continue, especially at a store that usually prides itself on friendliness and professionalism.
Last week I also tried asking a question near the water/maintenance area while someone was working, and the response I got was pretty unfriendly. I completely understand people are busy, but a basic level of courtesy goes a long way.
On top of that, I’ve noticed that many shelves have been missing a lot of products lately. Items that are usually stocked are frequently empty, and it makes shopping here less reliable than it used to be.
I’ve shopped at Whole Foods for years and expect better. Hoping management takes a look at both customer service and overall stocking at this location.Feb 05, 2026 -
This store opens at 7:00 am, but when I tried to return a glass bottle of Brookstone Chocolate Milk for the $2.00 deposit at 7:30 am, the employee at the Customer Service told me to wait until 8:00 am. My shopping cart was full, I had done all of my shopping, so I wanted to return the bottle and go to the cashier to pay and leave. She refused to do it, by saying that I had to wait until 8:00 am. I waited until 7:55 am, and she still would not take it, so I asked for the Manager who confirmed that the Customer Service does not take bottles before 8:00 am. I am questioning that policy. The customer service is open, so there should be full services. I am a. long term customer, go there to do all my shopping every week. I also shop at Trader Joe's, and I have to say that all employees treat their customers with respect and provide much better service.

Friendly staff, cashiers always nice, patient, a pleasant atmosphere overall with great fresh produce and good sales— especially for Amazon Prime members. A too tempting array of bakery products, a section for vitamins and health products, a hot food bar and a cafe area where you can eat it or just stop to eat the yogurt you just bought. A Prime pick-up station, and a great, reliable delivery service!!

No one is Everrrrrr at the coffee /tea booth. Everytime I go I ask if someone can come and make a coffee and there’s always an emergency or no staff available . What is the point of having that section as an option to costumers if you can’t even staff the area?

Congratulations to Chemy or Cheney not sure about the name but the Dominican girl at the flower stand last Sunday morning. She does an outstanding job with the flowers. When I asked her what was her inspiration of doing her job right she said: things should be done right if not, better not to do them. Great work ethics. Kudos to her.

I got the butter chicken from the hot food section. Wouldn’t recommend. I had to go to urgent care a few days later because it was way too rich!

Every year I order duck from the catering menu and pick up from this store. This year when I ordered this Whole Foods could not find my order than tried to give me a duck from over the counter. I explained every year I pick up from the butcher. The manager tried to tell me I was confused on what catering means. This Whole Foods location has gone downhill. I will never order or buy anything from this location.

Belinda was a great help at customer service she quickly identified the problem and provided outstanding service to get to a solution. Thank you so much Belinda and the Whole Foods team Will definitely continue shopping here thanks to the outstanding staff!

I had a disturbing experience with a female security contractor at this Whole Foods. During a conversation, she mocked my accent verbatim, made a racist comment about my supposed ethnic origin, and told me to “go shop in Chinatown instead.” She then asserted that everything in the store “belongs to her,” using that as justification for rude and intimidating behavior.
This is unacceptable at any retailer, especially one that claims to value inclusion. I’m asking management to review the relevant camera footage, address the contractor’s behavior with her employer, and ensure all staff and third-party personnel receive training on anti-harassment and anti-discrimination. I’d also appreciate a follow-up from the store manager regarding what corrective actions will be taken.
She is unprofessional and unethical.Nov 04, 2025 -
Beware that their Organic Triple Washed Baby Spinach in large plastic container has still dirt on the leaves. If you still eat them, wash throughly yourself.

Used to go there all the time. But they changed the policy on beer purchases. Now even obviously senior citizens are required to show ID when buying beer, not just required to enter their birthday into terminal.
Apart from being a further step toward societal infantilization, it is worth knowing that the policy does not apply to the WF wine store NEXT DOOR, nor have I ever seen any weed smokers outside the store--many of them obviously under age--to move away.
Fortunately the neighborhood doesn't lack alternatives with saner policy.Oct 12, 2025 -
This store doesn’t have a microwave and the cashier was unfriendly. Though I like that their assortment is bigger than in Whole Foods on Wall Street. They have small deserts for 2$

I enjoy this grocery store as an option in our neighborhood. Their produce is excellent. Their variety in prepared foods, cheese and frozen foods is the best in this whole neighborhood I think. It beats Key Food and Trader Joe’s by miles. I enjoy the self serve food bars, these I do find pricey but sometimes I need the convenience. Their produce store also has a nice vibe to it and their self care section is quite good.

Absolutely Disgusting!!! Just came home
With some things and the jelly is rotten!!! I called them cause I walked all the way home
So I wanted to see if they can replace it-delivery and they can care lesssss. Horrible service and disgusting products!!! I have to keep this nasty poison with a receipt at home until I get a chance to walk back thereSep 28, 2025 -
It is a clean friendly environment I was welcomed by polite staff and delicious aromas, quick service and well priced food . I'd definitely enjoy another visit .

Good selection of organic produce, food selection is very good. I think the cheese selection at other locations is more diverse. The bathrooms though were very dirty. I did tell one of the staff and they were quick to jump on it. But I think their restroom location is poorly placed, too close to street, should be deeper inside store or better maintenance.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Whole Foods today that left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I live upstairs from this store and shop here regularly - it's my go-to grocery store. Today I was purchasing just 9 items, mostly inexpensive products, and chose self-checkout since I had so few things. During checkout, I asked an employee about figs since I wasn't familiar with them as a foreign customer. Her response was dismissive, saying "You don't know what figs are?" in a tone that made me feel stupid for asking.
She then proceeded to ring up a more expensive packaged version instead of helping me with what I actually wanted. When she saw my total was $37 (discounted from $42.19 with my Prime membership), she made a comment questioning why I was only paying "30-something dollars" for my items. This was incredibly rude - does she expect every customer to spend $100+ on regular daily shopping? It was only 9 items!
She then claimed I was using my shopping bag inappropriately and called over another employee to go through all my groceries together. After they rifled through my 9 items and confirmed everything was legitimate and reasonably priced, I told them their behavior made me uncomfortable. Instead of apologizing, the employee offered to "re-scan everything" and denied making the comment about my total being too low, despite having just searched through my belongings.
This felt like discriminatory treatment, possibly because I'm a young Asian customer. The whole experience was humiliating and completely unnecessary. As a regular customer who lives in the building above and shops here weekly, I've never experienced anything like this before. The assumption that there was something wrong with my modest grocery purchase was insulting and unprofessional.
I expect better customer service and more respectful treatment from Whole Foods employees, especially for loyal customers who shop here regularly.Aug 31, 2025 -
This Whole Foods off Broadway is humongous—seriously one of the biggest we’ve been to. It’s clean, well-stocked, and has pretty much everything you could possibly need, from fresh produce and bakery items to a huge hot bar and ready-to-eat meals.
The layout is spacious, so even when it’s busy, it doesn’t feel too overwhelming. Tons of checkout lanes (including self-checkout), and everything moves pretty efficiently.
Great spot for groceries, a quick bite, or just wandering the aisles in awe. Bonus points for being super convenient to nearby subway stops.Aug 01, 2025 -
As far as uptown WholePaychecks go, this spot is far superior to the Harlem spot. And by that I mean the service and layout.
The butcher and fish counter associates are both serviceable and much better than the zombies in deli/premade (consistently the most attitude). 80% will give you stank face, 18% indifferent and on rare occasions, a unicorn will be spotted, the one who’s actually care about good service. Still, it’s better than 125th branch’s 99% stank face average.
The product here is standard WF. On occasion, they’ll have a good selection of grass fed Venison and Bison and Pasteur raised meats. There’s a few local items in some departments.
The 12 for $12 oyster Friday is the move, get here before 2pm. The words out and there’s a few grandmas who literally come to buy the entire stock out. The early bird catches the worm.
They always run out of their branded coconut water (pink one) so when you see it out, grab some because it’ll be days until they put more out. You’re welcome.
The service overall and checkout associates are hit or miss. If you remember WF before Amazon and before they came to the city and expect that level of service & quality- then you must have just came out of a Time Machine. That ship sailed a decade + ago. The vibe here is mostly indifferent, with an occasional mid level of job efficiency.
Sundays are a mess. Tuesday’s looks like an apocalypse hit the store. It’s usually the last day of the sales, which means most items are gone. If ya didn’t get here on Monday, it’s a wrap. If pastrami is ever on sale at the deli counter, get there the first day- Wednesday because it’s gone by Friday and they never seem to restock.
Checkout is 1000% faster than 59th street and Harlem. The self checkout is the hero but you knew that already, didn’t you Chad?Jun 30, 2025 -
Perfectly stocked over two floors. Had everything I needed. Check out staff were helpful in suggesting I join Amazon Prime to receive a discount on several of the items purchased. Customer Service did what she thought was best not what I requested. Apologized and asked if I’d mind leaving what she’d done. I will go back as it’s near TJ Maxx and a Duane Reade. Also Home Goods. The fresh fruit was still good as I visited late near closing time. Loses a star as the security guard was smoking outside the entrance so I had to walk through the smoke to get into the store. Store was moderately clean. Fast and efficient. Staff. Shout out to ENMANUEL - helped me find a few items and a new alternative to one no longer sold. Polite and had a lovely welcoming smile. Offered to check for a different size but it was closing so I just bought the smaller one as I’ll return soon.
Sorry about the random item photos! I’m British and we don’t have as good a selection!May 24, 2025 -
A very large supermarket serving the Upper Westside, with very fully stocked shelves and slightly higher prices. They also had free shrimp samples

As an Amazon Prime Member, I usually get delivery. However, I decided to go on a Sun morning and had the worst experience with the Customer Service Rep. After checking out, I noticed that the cheese and cookies that were supposed to on sale rung up at full price. I sent to the Customer Service desk to ask why and she said that the sale had ended on 3/5 the cheese and that the cookies were not on sale. See the photo showing the sale sign still on display on 3/9. It’s misleading to the customer. In order to access the cheese to return it, I had to remove the items on top and place them on the counter. She kept asking if I’m also returning those items as if I purposely waste my time to buy and return. I them went back to take a picture of the sale sign for the cookies and it turns out that they were in the wrong spot. I returned them and purchased the same ones that were on sale and when she dis the exchange, I asked if I should reenter my Prime number to which she responded no. Of course, as I’m checking the receipt when I’m walking out I noticed that I wasn’t given the 10% prime discount and had to go back again. When I told her that I didn’t get the discount, she said oh that was on sale. This woman should not be working in Customer Service!

Came to the store to order 1 Rotisserie chicken and noticed the shelves were empty at 9am. After speaking with Pamela in the sandwich dept, she called downstairs and assured me that it will be on the shelf soon.
A few minutes later she placed 3 chickens on the shelf.
Customer service at it's best. 5 ⭐Jan 30, 2025 -
Meets the high bar of grocery stores you’d expect at a Whole Foods. I came here to pick up a package but ended up doing some shopping. The fish department clean and the staff were incredible (thanks Livio!!!) I wish I lived near this location, I’d come here all the time.

Spacious and clean! Seafood selection is top-notch and there’s a fabulous selection of beers upstairs near the cheeses. Self-checkout is quick but the line sometimes blends in with the regular checkout line so stick to the left.

Want to personally thank Melo for being a superhero for your that shop at Wholefoods.
So happy that Corporate choose you for the location at Columbus Circle.
You are the epitome of what excellent management looks like.
Thank you for finding someone to make coffee today.
Thank you for caring about your customers. Can not tell you how grateful I am to your amazing service.
Loved my entire shopping experience. All of the employees at this location are awesome!!!Sep 10, 2021 -
A security guard threw out my 84 year old mom into the cold just because she sat by the bathrooms to wait. She stated that the area was for employees only. Great produce and large selections but this employee had lousy people skills and makes me never want to return. The area was totally empty but I guess this security guard felt she had to hassle someone.
