We moved here 3 years ago and it was a great move. The apartment is beautiful but the staff here is the best. They are helpful and friendly. There are many young people living here and they couldn’t be nicer. We love it here and just want to thank the office staff and the maintenance staff (Paul) for making this a terrific place to live

I’ve been living here for a year and a half, and honestly, I would have moved out much earlier if I could. For the past five months, we’ve been constantly charged for non-compliance with rental insurance, even though we have a valid policy on file and the manager has all the paperwork. Every month I’m forced to pay for insurance I don’t even need, and then I have to beg to get my money back. The manager always apologizes and promises it will be corrected the following month — but she has been saying the same thing for five months now. On top of that, our rent was increased by 13% at the last renewal. If you have a dog, keep in mind the dog park is always dirty. Overall, this has been a terrible experience.

I had a great experience living at this apartment and was planning to leave a five-star review. However, after moving out, I was charged for insurance non-compliance even though I had valid renters insurance on file. I had been charged before for the same issue while still living there, and management told me to leave the balance unpaid because it would be zeroed out—they acknowledged they had my policy and said they’d take care of it. Despite that, the charge was never removed, and the amount was deducted from my security deposit. I emailed management on May 30, but as of June 13, I haven’t received any response. It’s really disappointing that something so simple wasn’t resolved, and it unfortunately changed my impression of the entire experience.

. just want to say how wonderful the maintenance team is. Mugabe and Paul are so wonderful and very nice and always there when you need them and the property manager is very sweet. And and Helpful. They keep the grounds beautiful. The apartment is beautiful.

I moved to central + oak about 8 months ago and i think i can leave a pretty solid review. The noise of the train passing by can be irritating especially when your mid conversation with anyone or especially when you're at the dog park outside, but I've slowly gotten use to it. My main issue with the apartment complex is the parking. There's barely parking on the premise for guests and that's why I honestly hesitate using the amenities like the club house to host anything. Other than that, whenever I have any mechanical issues Paul has been super helpful and responsive. Definitely think twice if you're a host person like me if you hate having the idea of your guests parking 3-4 blocks down just to find parking... let alone the weekends!

The place is so clean!! Ashley and her staff are so helpful, friendly and very informative. They have the best customer service skills!! My apartment is so clean and spacious. My dogs love the dog run park. And the amenities are an added bonus!! I would recommend Central and Oak to Everyone!!

I have lived here for a few months and couldn’t have more positive things to say. I’ll be honest - I was hesitant initially because of the train noise complaints, but you quickly become immune to it. Additionally, the 1 time we had a maintenance issue, the complex is quick to solve the issue and have been friendly while doing it. It’s a great, dog friendly, place to live.

Well I don't know where to start but let's start with management I've never in my life dealt with some unprofessional management people that run this company I would not recommend I can say a whole lot of other things but I'll just keep that to myself all you have to do is read all the rest of the other comments from all the other tenants

really liked the apartments i wanted to apply and move here but when i booked the tour the price was 2,096. The day of the tour which was like the day after i booked it , they told me the price went up to 2300 and some change. i told them if they can honor the price that they told me they i first booked the tour and they didn’t want to accommodate me.

I confirmed a tour via their website and was looking forward to viewing the place. Nobody was at the residence to give me a tour although the email stated they would be. I called multiple times upon arrival and no one was in the leasing office. I left a voicemail and no one even bothered to call me back. Waste of time and if you schedule a tour you should triple confirm that someone will actually be there.

I wish I can give no stars. The management here is the worst. I was reading the reviews and it’s spot on. My experience was absolutely horrible. The management company withheld our deposit and sent us to debt collection. The absolute nerve of these people trying to take advantage. We moved out, I had the apartment cleaned professionally spotless. We tried to contact the office multiple time for information on our deposit but no one answered. I even went there and no one was ever there. This atrocious management sent me to collection for $85! Called them to find out why and again didn’t pick up mine or my husbands calls but then I called from my office and they picked up, absolutely shady. They charged us $900 for the replacing a carpet when the move out agreement clearly stated if carpet is not cleaned, $150 would be deducted. There were no email sent to us, no phone calls, no notification no contact whatsoever. They seem like a scam.

Wanted to live here, but I host dinner parties... I was told if there were 'more than two guests' you will be fined. LOL WHAT! Seems like a mess of a place. They definitely have to mature as a building and fix up. Go elsewhere.

Leasing staff is unprofessional and extremely unorganized. We lived here for two years and there was always a change in management as well as the leasing staff. Not a good look and is reflective of how they manage around here. As for future tenants and current tenants who plan to leave, good luck trying to receive your security deposit. We left almost two months ago and have to constantly reach out in regard to our security deposit and they always tell us someone will be reaching out or has stepped away and will call us back. They never do. Central and Oak has such a poor follow up and it’s disappointing! Stay away from this place!

I advise any future tenant seeking a place to not even waste your time. Sterling properties management is unprofessional, especially Melissa Valentin. She was not only 25 minutes late to the office but she immediately told me that the 1st I need to be out without even speaking to me. The management abruptly came into my apartment at 9am to ask me to leave while I was trying to move out. Also, they will keep your deposit, & when the flood came and everything I had was ruined they did not compensate nor apologize.

AVOID moving into this place! Made the mistake of moving into this place when it first opened up based off the aesthetics and the fact it was a new apartment. The hallways constantly smell like pot , the property management has NO IDEA what’s going on and that’s probably because there’s a new “manager “ every other month. They make up new rules with each new management trying to make up some excuse or the other to charge you extra fees. The property management DOES not help you and are pretty much only there to send the threatening emails trying to make up some extra charge for having more than 2 guests , dogs, parking , etc .Packages are always being stolen and the cameras are there for show because when you reach out to them they will tell you “that you have to file a police report and sub pena the film”. There is never parking on premises and cars are constantly blocking the fire lanes .

Despite the door slamming, no parking, towing cars, missing packages, and thin walls, the maintenance guy makes living here easier. Jason is hands on, professional, and very quick to respond to maintenance issues.

There is no parking for visitors in apartment community. They tow my car yesterday without any "No parking" or "Tow Zone" posted. I would recommend this community if you want your friends to pay $390 with begging to get their car back from Towing gangsters hired by this apartment management !

Well if I sit here and point to all the place I move I should go crasy. But every apartment we move always something. This is nothing knew. Well first all. When you call to fix something. They takes days before show up. Which they never came to fix my washer. S smell bad. Overall it’s okey. Bathroom are small amount hot water which we pay for the water. Smell weed a bit better. Now this train drive me crasy when we move here I didn’t know. Because if knew it. I’ll never move here. They will rise your rent every where to move to a box it’s not good. This is more for roomade and single couples. I don’t have much to say. We looking forward to move. Too much money for just a box. Have nothing much then a dog park and lounge gym. Like I say this is not good when you have kids. Hope they will build something for the kids. Never know.

Billy and Trish have been an absolute pleasure to work with! They made the entire move in process completely seamless. Even the maintenance man, Ramon, was extremely responsive with our petty little requests during move-in. Really the only complaint is that the elevators are kind of slow. Stairways are just as convenient so it really isn't a big deal. And we just wish there were a couple more guest parking spots (can never have enough spots) but 99.9% of the time you won't have an issue. We would definitely recommend living here!!

We moved to Central and Oak a month ago after leaving another apartment complex in town. The new managers Trish and Billy have been incredibly attentive and helpful! We love our corner two bedroom apartment and the garage that comes with! And the amenities are beautiful! Highly recommend!

Beautiful property

Stay away! The apartments are beautiful but cheaply made, and this isn't even the half of it. Management is absolutely horrible and incompetent and insensitive. Our apartment is not ready so we're being put up in a temporary apartment having to move twice with no compensation at all, not even so much as an I'm sorry. Move in day the elevator was broken, the apartment key didn't work and our storage unit does not exist. All the office could tell us is that's the storage unit number given to them. And yes, the train is loud and will wake you up some nights.

Before you make an important decision to choose Central & Oak as your next home, I’d like to share my experience that might be helpful to anyone hesitant in the decision making process. First off, the apartments are cheaply constructed, poorly insulated, and slightly overpriced for this location. Doors inside the apartment are cut too short, so consider no privacy whatsoever. Secondly, the elevator is extremely slow or often out of service. The management team (Ivy) doesn’t know how to communicate with people and ease frustration from negative experiences. Management is rarely on premises and the club house where they are located is closed almost every time. If you wish to use amenities you paid for, be advised to forget about it. The trains run as late as 3 am and are extremely loud. It’s hard to work, study, concentrate in this environment. The final advise would be not to park in front of your garage, because your car will be towed. Sunday tow’s and all wheel drive cost extra, so beware. In addition, if you plan on terminating your lease early, you will need to pay two full months rent. Just few things to consider before you sign the lease with Central & Oak. Hopefully my review will help in your decision making.

My family and I moved to this apartment with high hopes. Only when they lied about everything about the place. They lied about the train noise which is basically in your back yard and we were told that it passes not too often and the double windows were sound proof. The train on both sides and ran every five minutes even at 3:00 Am. My daughter had bar exam to study, and the noise was interrupting her from studying. They charged us full amenities and they were closed all the time. We had to move out immediately and find another place asap. It created a lot of emotional distress and cost us thousands. My emails and phone call are being ignored by Wendy the manager regarding my refund of security deposit and amenities fees. It is a horrible place to live considering the ridiculous rent amount and the location. The TRAIN is basically in your back yard and they lie about it. Stay Away !!!!

Overpriced and not worth it! Stay away! Very beautiful on the outside, cheap materials throughout! You can hear EVERYTHING and management refuses to even sympathize. They pretend to be Sheriffs in town by looking for who’s smoking marijuana, rather than trying to get the actual builders/developers to look into these serious issues with the building. Yes, you get a garage. Woo hoo, but it’s not worth the headaches. You become a prisoner of the “rules” and get backlash for any complaint made. Horrible customer service. They are only sweet when you’re applying.
