I would like to extend my gratitude to Declan Walsh and his crewmate, of Walsh Towing, for helping me today, Sunday, January 25, 2026.. it was during a huge snow storm and I was stranded at South Bay Center, near Target, with a snapped windshield wiper. I saw their truck and asked for help, and they promised to return once I got new wipers.. They could have been doing anything during that storm, but once I called their office, after getting wipers at Target, they were back in less than 10 minutes to help. They wouldn’t take any fee, either. I was so grateful they agreed to take a gratuity to get coffee or beverage for what will be a long night! Thank you, Declan and crew!

Mary was helpful and professional during our interactions. Will certainly be dealing with Walsh's Towing again in the future. Thanks from NEAB.

Mary was so helpful and gracious! Didn't expect that from a towing company. She certainly was a kind human on a crappy day!

Recurring noise complaint. Walsh Towing company located at 255 Southampton Street, will consistently tow cars overnight from Excel High School at 95 G street. I live nearby and hear them towing most nights. The problem is that they are so loud! Their chains rattle, they set off car alarms, the tires screech. This is so unacceptable because they are repeatedly out there at early hours of the morning, 2-4am. This is an inappropriate time because residents are trying to sleep at these hours. There should be a consideration that if they are going to tow overnight, there should be quiet hours from 10pm-5am. Before and after that they can tow all they want. This has been an ongoing issue since I moved in in April, and I expect it to stop.

If you get towed, this is who you want to get towed by. Helpful staff and the process of getting my car back was quick.

I got my car detailed and parked it in the lot I pay for. It was in pristine condition after the exterior detail. I didn’t move my car for days and Walsh Towing Company towed my car and dented the front bumper.

Caused 1500$ worth of paint damage and claimed it to be wear and tear. Crazy wear and tear from one parking lot to the next

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I parked at a Santander Bank parking lot where the sign says “customers only parking lot”. The fact is that I was a customer at the bank, I was depositing money into my account. After that I went to the McDonald which is literally next door to use the bathroom. After that I came out and my car was gone. I was gone for literally 5 mins. These people told me I needed to be a customer for Santander WHICH I WAS. And after explaining that to them, they told me that once I leave the Bank I’m longer consider a customer. Like the tow guy should’ve waited a little longer. The bank told me that the guy tow guy was asking around who the red Honda (my car) was and decided to take it anyways. Why was my car targeted? They were literally two other cars next to mine. I had to walk AN HOUR in the rain to pay the 169 in CASH. I’m currently in talks with some people to get a full refund and they will hear from me. This is unlawful towing.

On Tuesday March 25 at approximately 3:10pm my car got towed in front of me , my baby and my sister in law. This took place in the vicinity of the north end of Boston. My meter still had 10 minutes left and there were many cars parked behind me. We approached the tow truck driver and asked him if I could please get into my car with my baby since he had not begun the towing process yet, he claimed that they would there would be street cleaning later therefore my car would be towed . There were several cars behind me and none of them got towed. We even waited around for a half an hour to confirm. We called the police in front of the man and pleaded that he not take our vehicle since that was my only car seat and I needed it in order to get my baby home, we even begged him to let me take the car seat out of the car and he proceeded to block the door and not allow me to do so. Therefore he left us stranded with a small baby who needs a car seat in order to travel at just two years old. Walsh towing company on Southampton Street in South Bay is a disgraceful company. I was a mother my young baby without a car and no car seat in order to go get my car from the tow yard to reiterate the situation. My car was not yet he could’ve easily just driven away. To fast-forward my mother is in a very dangerous area to obtain my car back , the escort car wreaked of weed and other paraphernalia. She was told many people get robbed here and to beware . The entire situation is beyond disgraceful and you should be ashamed to run such a business .

Loved getting towed. Great experience, 10/10. In all seriousness, it was my fault and these guys were very fair and pretty nice for it being so early in the morning. The guy was funny and the lady at the desk was helpful. BRING EXACT CASH. And don’t go to the Target if you need an ATM, instead go right to Santander. Also don’t get towed AND need to go get cash AND be alone AND be a woman at the same time. Otherwise you might catch some flack on your quest outside the lot to get cash.

Quick service once I had payment. Got my truck out fine, tough location though. Nice people for a tow yard. A couple scuffs on front fender from tow. Only real pain was that they need close to exact payment in cash. Ended up spending 2 hours in South Bay trying to get the right cash due to the early time of day.

My car was towed this morning. Once I realized it was towed it was a pretty smooth process from there. I called and they told me to bring cash (only) ahead of time. It took all of 5 minutes once I got to the tow lot to get my car. My guess is it’s a thankless job and I appreciated how quickly I was able to get my car back. Thank you!

Not a single no parking sign posted in lot where my work van was towed from this morning while I was on a job at peninsula yacht club. So now I will be taking them to small claims court for lost wages and double the tow amount. Oh and they only take CASH…?! I’m sure it’s not cuz they cook their books..

I think it’s safe to say it’s not their fault when someone gets towed. However, I found Walsh towing was super patient and helpful with me trying to retrieve my car. I especially like to thank Mary - she was great!

They towed my car from its legitimate parking space that I own and I had to pay $175 to get it back. Absolute nonsense. I’m not sure how they’re still in business. Very shady practices and completely unprofessional.

Got towed here yesterday. Went to pick up my car today and I was told by the heavier set women that they take all cards besides Amex when I called. Get there and they don’t. You have to walk to the police station to pull money out. Before I get my car they try to make me sign off on pre existing damage to the front and back bumper. When I specified there wasn’t any damage beforehand. (My car is brand new and dosent even have 1k miles and always garage kept.) They insisted I need to sign off to get my car. I get the car and there is damage. I do body work to vehicles as well so I know the damage wasn’t there before hand. From the beginning they were extremely rude I can’t believe they call this place a business. They start cussing me out and screaming at me because I addressed the damage to my vehicle. They insisted they took pictures of the car beforehand and that it was like that. I asked to see the pictures to confirm this and they never sent them and tried to take the ones of the damage that I took today. I’ll be taking legal action against them. Overall, please check your car very well they will damage your car and be very rude to you to try and make you shy away from their unprofessional behavior. Take legal action and get this place thrown off the street and into the dumps where it belongs. It’s a joke of a “business”.

Very corrupt. They only take cash if your car was towed because of "trespassing" and moreso they don't give change so you need the exact amount. Mine was 146$ for less that 7 hours of my car being there. If your towed for street cleaning or some other reason Boston may have called, then they will take card.

Wish there was an option for 0 stars. I parked outside of an apartment to purchase a used desk from a tenant, I buzzed in, went up to her room and we took the desk down in the elevator, probably 6-7 minutes. When we came down, my car was on a tow truck. The guy said I needed to find an atm and give him 75 dollars which he pocketed. The next day, multiple sensor lights came on in my car which is two years old and has never had any problems. This company is a complete scam, steals money and damages property.

Worst towing company ever! They make their own rules and tow to get your money. They seem like a bunch of addicts. They have people who aren’t even employees dealing with customers. The tow guy does not tow cars the proper way, he hooks the car and just drives off. They make you pay exact and if not claim they have no change so they basically pocket your money if you don’t . If I could I wouldn’t give them any stars. Unprofessional isn’t even the word to describe.

My car was towed from a downtown restaurant. I paid the fee on the parking meter and Valet wasn’t available. Walsh towing towed my car. They say they are open 24 hours. I called on the fee and they said I needed cash. Stopped for cash. When I arrived I was told they closed at 8 pm. Arrived at 8:15. It’s a scam and false advertising. Will pursue legal action. How are they open 24 hours.

I live in Boston I see them tow- all wheel drive vehicles with a wrecker. That's a big no no. This what can happen- With an AWD, you can't just choose the wheels to keep on the ground. Those with a permanent AWD system towed on two wheels would have not only their transmission damaged but also the couplings and other drive components. Please be aware parking in Boston- because this company does not care about people vehicles

THE WORST "BUSINESS" I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I had my car towed (street cleaning) and kept here. It was the most unprofessional, inept, trashy, sketchy "business" I have ever seen in my entire life. The woman had no idea how to find out if my car was there, so we had to wait 30 minutes for someone else to show up who knew how to use a computer. Then the woman had no idea how to actually charge a credit card (another 30 minutes for a different person). Side note, I just found out they charged me twice. Then I had to walk ~20 minutes to some sketchy parking area in heroin city. WORST EVER.

Crooks. They came to accident site and towed the car about 100 yards without authorization. I went an hour later to pickup the car, they charged me $380 instead of $190. They only wanted cash and must be exact change or they’ll pocket the rest. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

My car was towed by this company. They were nice in the beginning until I noticed damage on my car. When I tried to file a claim they denied my claim with little to no research done. Claiming I caused the damage. Every step of the way they lied, they said my car was towed off the ground which is a lie because I witnessed the vehicle being towed. They refused to provide the pictures they took of my vehicle prior to towing.

I was stuck late at night next to an alley in my little Prius that wouldn’t move and was freaking out! The AMAZING woman who answered did so honestly and said “we don’t have anyone in that area but you should call our friends at xxx”!!!! How awesome is that?! Super helpful and 24 hour service!!!!

This towing company has a contract with and tows for my apartment complex. My property manager was supposed to put my rental vehicle on a ‘No Tow’ list with Walsh so that they wouldn’t tow the vehicle when I park it in the complex lot. I called this past Friday night to make sure my car was on the no tow list. A woman named Jeanie let me know that she wasn’t aware of any arrangements, and nether were her coworkers but she would add the vehicle to the list that evening. I called again in the morning (Saturday) to make sure the morning staff knew of the arrangement as well. The woman I spoke to over the phone told me that Jeanie nor any of her other coworkers made her aware of the arrangement either, but that she would add my car to the no tow list that Saturday morning. When I came out of my building SUNDAY MORNING, the car was gone. TOWED. When I called Walsh’s to let them know that they had wrongfully rowed my car, a woman name Sherie let me know that (again) she knew of know such arrangements. I asked her to call Jeanie or her boss, figure it out and call me right back. I explained that I had already called in the previous two nights, and that this is something they should’ve communicated to each other. Sherie called me back letting me know that the mistake was with her boss who allegedly sent out a mass text to all the employees to put my car on the list, but nobody put it ‘up on the board’ so that all the employees could visually be reminded of the arrangement when they come into the office. Instead of returning my vehicle back to the spot they took it from, I was instructed by Sherie to come down to the lot to pick the car up myself. My phone charger was in the vehicle, and my phone had died after my 2nd phone call with Sherie. I had to blindly commuted to Walsh’s with a dead phone, luckily getting directions from a different towing company that was nearby. When I left Walsh’s and finally parked my car that afternoon I noticed damage to the back of he vehicle. It almost looked as if it was backed up, or let go into a wall or another vehicle causing a ‘pressure mark’ and cracked paint on the rear of the car. The worst experience ever, and this lot is poorly operated and managed.

After waiting on AAA for hours on end, I called up the local tow company and instead of taking more than twice as long as they stated, they actually got there earlier and accomplished in 20 minutes what I could not do in 2 days with AAA. 3 stars was because of confusion in price. Over the phone, price given was $60 (cash), though the tow truck driver asked for $90 before I mentioned that I was told $60. My car has been towed to the mechanic and I am happy.

My car was recently towed by Wash Towing due to street cleaning; and unfortunately, there was some accidental damage done to my car during the towing process. As soon as I made the damage known to the folks at Walsh, they apologized for the trouble, and assured me that the cost of repairs would be covered. I was put in touch with Mary Walsh, who was especially helpful -- very communicative, personable, and easy to work with. She cut me a check for the repairs within a few days, and I was on my way. I was expecting the worst, and couldn't be more pleased with how it all turned out.

Walsh towing monitors our visitor parking lot in our condo building in Dorchester. Frankly I have no issue with tow companies, and haven't ever had to have my car towed. However a guest was parked with a rental car in our guest lot, with a visitor placard visible in the window. Walsh's idiot drivers, who drive around in blacked out window trucks like thugs in Mattapan, towed the car...at their discretion, because the driver failed to look at visitor pass. When I finally was able to get through to the idiots at this company, they admitted their mistake and refused to bring the car back. The girl on the phone, who was no help at all, gave me her manager's cell phone number. Which was turned off. The girl at the office gave no reasoning as to why they couldn't return the car. Leaving us to find a way to get to their tow yard. Absolutely abysmal customer service, idiot drivers, and a manager that doesn't turn her phone on during business hours. I'll be working with our board to find a more reliable tow company.
