What clients say about Eastcoast towing in West New Boston (MA)

I retrieved my vehicle from this tow yard after a private-property tow listed as “Trespassing” on 02/02/2026 (City of Boston tow-lookup showed the tow operator as East Coast). When I arrived in the morning to pick up my car, no staff were available despite posted “Office Hours” signage at the yard stating Mon–Fri 8AM–5PM and Sat/Sun 10AM–2PM. I was outside waiting in very cold weather with my young child and called multiple times before anyone assisted. I ultimately paid $210 cash to retrieve my vehicle. I recommend calling ahead and getting clear confirmation that staff will be present before traveling to the yard.

You guys are doing a bad job. Disrespectful and a lot of law violations

This place is terrible. Very rude staff. It says 132 for tow and 35 for storage and somehow they charge you $202. Cash only. It’s clear they are running an illegal operation. This place needs to be shut down!

DJ was so helpful and wonderful. If you have to get your own car out of a bad situation, call him. He helped me and my pregnant wife get our car to the dealership to have tires replaced, even gave us a ride and had great stories to share.

scratched my back bumper. Tried to reach out to them about it and was treated so rudely.

My wife called no answer tried several times , we proceed to go to the tow company lot which looks like a dump site no one on the property . This business doesn’t have signs or anything up someone may want to investigate as does not appear to be a legal business . Proceeded to call again a woman answered and was extremely rude to my wife who is trying to find her vehicle . Horrified with how this company speaks to people number one and number two how cars are being allowed to be stored it what appears to also be a dumpster dump site

The woman who answers the phone is extremely rude has the worst attitude I called to find out if they towed my vehicle . I do not think this business runs legally it looks like a dump when you drive by

Very rude stuff, this company is illegal.they made me pay 132 and 202 dollars.they want the money only in cash and they take your car to Dorchester in a place like junk yard.this place must be closed asap! This company is operating illegally

They overcharged me $50 and I am just finding this out due to a post of what the actual cost was suppose to be. They are rude and very sketchy. Could not be more unprofessional!!! They should be shut down for over charging people.

So i lost my airpod and double parked somewhere where i wasnt suppose to so i could look for it, i come back after a while in my car is gone. Of course I start panicking crying all of that. I figure out who has it and I called them, angrily cussing at him even though it wasnt his fault. When i got there he was still respectful and pointed me in the direction of the nearest atm. Price was $143, not too bad. Moral of the story of the story these guys were still helpful and nice to me!! I will be more careful where i park next time😂 also if you’re reading this i apologize for how I was on the phone <3

The black lady with the huge gap in her teeth is very rude, unprofessional, and needs to change her profession if she gets mad at people for asking questions about what happened to their car. This lady is extremely impatient and refused to give me her name when asked. What a joke for a towing company. She yelled and cursed for no reason, and said that we can’t read which is bewildering and I am not sure how she still has a job here. Not sure if all employees are like this here because I see a consistency with these reviews. This individual needs to be fired as she doesn’t represent the company in a positive light. I would give this -stars if I could.

Wow. I could write a whole essay. My roommates car got towed out of a strip mall parking lot. A police officer was there when he was looking for his car and she straight up told him that he should not have been towed. There was no information on how to find where it had been towed, thankfully the officer was there and gave him the website of where to find it. We call numerous places before finding where it went. We get to the website and said the towing fee was $108. We called and we were asking politely “hey may I ask why it was towed?” The amount of ATTITUDE this woman gave us. Talking to us like we didn’t understand English. She starts yelling at my roommates. The car was gone for barely three hours and said “147. Cash. “ and when we asked who decided to call to get it towed or who we can talk to. She was sighing and asking “why don’t you understand how are you not understanding” so we go to the bank to get cash. It’s in like an abandoned business park. NO SIGNS FOR IT AT ALL. it’s a run down TRAILER not even an actual building. They’re tinted sliding drive through windows and a barrier with a five in gap and the bottom you have to lean down to talk into. (Guessing she upset the wrong people to have that installed) she was still giving attitude. My roommate went to go get his car and she said “maybe if your roommate has so much time on his hands to read the website he should have read the sings in the parking lot.” Yes there was a sign. A small one covered by tree branches :) so I said “wow. You need to get a new job hunny” and we were talking away this original pleasant women said “you need to get a new job” I said “shorttyyyy I got paid todayyy” maybe if she had a better job than a 24 hour towing company in a run down trailer she could get the gap between her teeth fixed. But unfortunately she slammed her drive through window because I could tell her what dentist I used 😔 anyways. The way she treated us was comically horrible. If this is the owner. Quit while you’re ahead. And if she’s a employee. Do better. Sincerely, a truly valued customer ❤️

I am so upset. It is a Sunday and the lady working the desk is extremely rude and disrespectful. My 75 year old grandmother called because there is a car blocking her vehicle. I called to remedy the fact that the car is still sitting there 3 and a half hours later. The disrespect I heard over this phone between this lady and my 75 year old grandmother tells me she has no respect for her elders. First of all she is 75, she is frustrated and blocked in. Now it leaves me to file an official complaint with the mayors office, 311, and I will be calling for a manager in the morning. The disrespect. Treat people the way you want your mother or grandmother to be treated. I’m also filing a complaint with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU (BBB) and the office of consumer affairs and business regulations

Rude, nasty, unapologetic, people who I am sure are not paying taxes on their cash only business. My car was towed by these people from the parking lot of a very reputable business, whose owner assured me repeatedly my car was parked properly. After my car was suddenly towed we immediately called to talk to somebody. They were rude, nasty, & showed no remorse. The business owner where I was parked told me that if there were any cars in the lot during business hours the tow truck driver was supposed to come in & ask if the car belonged to any of their customers. This was never done by Eastcoast towing. They simply towed the car, which they kept for a total of 38 minutes, just so that they could collect $143, cash. No apology whatsoever from them about not following agreed upon procedures & checking to see if the car belonged to a customer! If you’re already using Eastcoast towing, find another towing contractor immediately! If you’re searching for a towing operator to use at your property, please look elsewhere! Using this business will only make you look like the bad guy!

They towed my car for illegal parking even though I was standing next to my car. They refused to drop my car . Then the tow truck driver went into my car and stole my keys. I ended up calling the police. I had to pay $70 to get the car dropped. Later I realized my wallet was missing. I filed a police report. Beware of EastCoast towing.

They caused thousands of dollars of damage to our car. We were removed from a no parking zone, fair enough. Once we get to their lot we pay the fee and go to our car to find extensive exterior damage, as shown in the ‘after’ picture. I went back to the window and told them they caused damage. A man comes up to the window, yelling and pointing his hand in my face. He’s extremely aggressive and threatening. He gives me attitude when I ask for their insurance information, he threatens us more. We have video recordings of him and other workers screaming at us while we assess the damage. We will be taking legal action against them. See before and after pictures below.

Since no one wants to have their car towed and your want to blame the tow driver for your mistake, I was polite and in turn they all were polite right back. No problem and I was able to get me car in no time. 4 stars just because it was towed.

Absolutely disgraceful company. We parked outside of a Trader Joe's with no "No Parking" signs where we parked (as seen in the picture) yet they decided to erroneously tow us anyway. There were also other cars parked alongside the street, it was packed. Trader Joe's employee who was outside at the time helped us figure out who to call, and agreed that there should be a No Parking sign there to prevent this from happening again. Apparently it's not uncommon. While calling them to figure out where the building was (we were nearby and couldn't find it) they hung up on us after putting us "on hold". Calling back the person who answered was incredibly rude, but did at least tell us where it was across from and immediately hung up. 0/10 would not recommend getting towed by these absolute leeches of society.

I have nothing good to say about this tow company. I work for the city currently our parking lot has limited parking. Boston Public Health Commission has parking spaces for their employees. Every day I leave the shelter out to move my car sometimes I walk to 1010 Mass avenue today didn’t use that parking lot. I placed my plaque on the dashboard on the passenger side of the car. Funny thing when I called them I was told that I was parked illegally and there were no BPHC signs . The city called the tow company and they still refused to release my car, was wearing my ID still refused once I paid and got in my car the plaque was on the floor in front of the passenger seat that clearly reads Boston Public Health Commission name and office phone number. I have 2 plaques I want a refund don’t know who called them but this is not correct. It’s not always convenient to park at 1010 Mass avenue and walk back to the shelter. $143 I will not say they moved my plaque, but everyone knows I am careful to display my plaque I have 2 of them. To the owner you need to rethink how you conduct yourself. I want a refund of my money and my time. I wouldn't give them a half of a star.

They hooked up my car in a private parking garage where I was told to park by a tenant, was walking back to vehicle while they were hooking it up, said had to pay $120.00 cash only and they could put it down, I called the tow yard to see if I could pay by credit card and got into an argument with some low IQ moron who basically threatened me over the phone. I wouldn't hire these morons to tow my bicycle, the state should shut them down and the IRS should audit them, cash only.

The worst tow truck company.. we parked to deliver things to residents in the area. Keys and car still on and they towed us.. no tow signs.. less than 5mins.. pathetic people.. you guys need to give people a break like how you would like the cops to give you a break when you run the red lights... I really hope and pray that you guys get the worst karma in your life and that you trip and fall and never recover

A male employee driving one of the towing trucks in Adam's Village in Dorchester was unaware of his surroundings when he incedently shifted the truck in reverse and backed up into me in a parking lot. When the employee got out of his truck, he did not apologize. He then quickly got back into his truck once he realized there was only minor damage done to my car and his truck and proceeded to purposefully block me into a spot so I could not leave although I had no intention of leaving the scene especially in the case that I was not at fault. As an employee and representative of this company, it was disappointing to witness the lack of personal responsibility and unwillingness to offer a simple apology. I would not want someone like that working for my company who shows poor moral character and social skills.

My mom parked at the mall right in front of the little public library and two hours later her car got towed. Since when is there a limit to how long a person can shop at a mall? There’s a Payless there. A laundromat there. A liquor store there. A mad rag there. A grocery store there. A dollar tree there. A McDonald’s there. An H&R Block there. Exactly how long is the limit for someone shopping at the mall? These towing companies are truly getting out of hand.

My son's car died on the highway coming from Boston. I googled tow trucks in the area and came across East coast Tow. The dispatcher was attentive and informative and the wait for the tow truck was not long at all. I highly recommend using this tow truck company. I had a great experience under unfortunate circumstances. I am very grateful for a smooth and swift outcome.

I have a business and we were doing a delivery with two vehicles. There is no where to park in the Seaport area. So while the guys were making the delivery inside the restaurant, I watched the vehicles. Out of no where a tow truck backed up, got out and hooked the first van. I was very nice, gave him my name, business information and he was very rude. I told him that the van is running with the keys on the ignition and I could move it asap. He said give me $55 and I will drop it. I said okay, let me get my pocket book which was in the second vehicle. He saw one of the delivery drivers walk across the street toward the vehicle and must have felt intimidated by his size and speed off. Anyway I paid almost $160. This guy was so ignorant and unprofessional. That is a turn off!! Go to school for business administration and learn how to carry yourself in a professional setting. People would respect you more!! 0 Stars!!!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Driver was completely unprofessional, I'm not even sure if he gave me his real name (said "Jeff" when the ID on his shirt said "Ramon), demanded $55 cash to release my car when I had parked where I was specifically instructed to park by a Resident of the building. Wouldn't give a receipt so as far as I know it was a complete scam and he pocketed the money. Felt bullied and that I had no choice but to pay him because he was about to drive away with my car.

Completely unprofessional and rude driver and the boss who is supposed to be in charge, "Lewis" is lethargic and unorganized individual who is barely present for any of the affairs of his own enterprise but that do you expect from a business that has little to no security on site. They can't even afford or just don't care to post someone to keep constant vigilance at night.

I was visiting from out of town in a rental with out of state plates. I ran into a store for no more than 10 minutes. There were two cars parked in a 75 lot parking lot behind a small shopping center. When I went to get my car, they had it on the two. I had them stop. They charged me $108.00 cash! They would not take credit cards. All of my valuables were in the car. There were no signs regarding towing vehicles. The driver said I needed a permit and I asked him where do I get one. He said $108.00 cash. This is a scam and a shakedown. This company has to be investigated. CASH. All CASH! I posted one star because there was no option for negative stars.
