I went in for an oil change and they tried to tell me my engine air filter was dirty and needed to be replaced when I had replaced it myself a few days before I took my car in for an oil change. Avoid and go somewhere else

Warranty work, took it back the next for the same issue. The “technician “ said I needed a battery. Just found out they installed the wrong battery, left a tool and installed the new 250 dollar battery wrong. Called today and whoever answered the phone seemed too busy or unconcerned to even speak more than a couple of words about it. Next call is the BBB and the state licensing office.

Really WEIRD vibes here. The difference in service I received was incredibly disgusting. I came in when the store was empty to change my damaged tire with the warranty I have. Several people came in about 20-30 minutes later. The two men who came in 20-30mins after me were told their cars would be looked at immediately. After both men had 2 updates on their cars, I was still sitting an hour later from when I arrived. I walked up to the desk asking for an update on my tire. The representative said, "I think they are looking at it now", and continued sitting where he was. A few minutes later they said they were looking for the wheel lock, I told him it was in the glove compartment. While I was up there asking if they only just started looking at my car, he said they were apparently looking through my car for 30mins for the wheel lock, which I do not believe why they wouldn't ask me until I asked them. I told them 3 times I could look for it for them and they said ok and did nothing, continuing to sit. Then I waited 10 minutes while he spoke to a call-in client while I stood at the desk. Then I asked if they were going to bring my car out for me to look and they sorted amongst themselves to have me go back and look. I found my lock in the glove compartment, where I told them it was, in 2 minutes. All of the items in my car had been turned over or taken out, and the trunk rug was all messed up. Both men who came in long after me left an hour before me with their cars, with work that was more intense than my simple tire change. Almost 2 hours later, they return my car saying they fixed it, I go look and it looks the same. I go in asking the rep to show what work was done and he looks at me and doesn't answer or come out. A diff rep jumped in and said it was beaded. I ask if that will pass inspection because last time it did not. They said oh the worker didn't say the tire looked like that, even though the rep looked at it with me. Then the new rep looks at it with me and says ohh I didn't know it was for inspection. They take my keys back and start again to prorate. Then he apologizes and says they will get to it immediately. They blamed the black mechanic, when it was all 3 if their faults. Mind you, I have been here for 2 hours and the men who came 30m after me already left an hour ago. I went to my car to get the key lock so they wouldn't rummage through my entire car again. I asked if they needed it and the first rep I met with looked at me and said nothing, the new rep responded. Then the new rep told the first one he entered the item wrong, which is why the mechanic did what he did. The inside of my car was left a mess and filthy from them looking through my trunk. My car was done in 15 minutes after that.

They are ok just for a diagnostic but they told me it would cost me 4800 to fix my car. But I bought the parts and had the car fixed for under 1k they be ripping people off

Amazing service and kindness! We had an issue where our car door would not close, and it happened on a Sunday (yesterday) Firestone Complete Auto Care helped us right away without hesitation. The person who assisted us was extremely humble, kind, and respectful—no judgment at all. He took the time to explain what was wrong and even showed us what to do in case this ever happens again. It meant so much to receive that level of help and patience, especially in a stressful moment. Truly great customer service. Highly recommend this location!

The staff at this location are always super helpful. Super friendly. As a woman walking into a garage, they always make me feel valued and listen fully to what I’m describing to them. We have gotten our tires here for years and several iterations of cars. This time, one of them asked me why firestone wasn't our ‘main’ mechanic - very good question and we might be switching!!

I rarely write negative reviews because I respect hard work, but this experience was unacceptable. I went to Firestone at 972 Commonwealth Ave, Boston for an alignment and purchased a lifetime alignment. I also requested tire rotation and balancing. The employee Eric was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional from the start. He told me the service would take about 1 hour and 20 minutes. I dropped my car off at 4:37 PM, left briefly, and returned at 6:10 PM. When I asked for an update, Eric insisted I had only been gone 20 minutes and even pointed to the wrong car on his screen. Only after I corrected him did he admit my car was actually done. When I checked my vehicle, I realized no tire rotation had been done — the car was just parked in a different spot. Yet they tried to charge me $257 for alignment, $60 for balance, and $27 for rotation. Once I confronted him, he suddenly removed the rotation charge instead of asking if I still wanted the service done. After that, they wasted another two hours doing the work poorly and unprofessionally. Tires were not balanced correctly during removal, and tire pressures were not even checked, which is basic after alignment, rotation, and balancing. Eric’s attitude throughout was arrogant and dismissive. I observed him treating other customers the same way. Management needs to review this employee and the overall service quality.

We got a flat tire at 4:30pm right before their closing time on a Sunday. Jaysean and John jumped right on to help us and got us in and out within 30 minutes. Saved our Sunday night. Thank you!

HELL NO DONT EVER COME HERE. I called and scheduled a break flush. I waited in the lobby until it was done. 1) the break fluid was way overfilled. 2) I realized the car NEVER LEFT THE GROUND. I then started questioning them how the break flush was done if the car was on the ground the entire time. They started making excuses on how my breaks are bad. I pressed them more and found out the manager charged me for a “fluid exchange”, mind you from start to finish I confirmed it was a break FLUSH. Corporate did not provide any help, never reached out.

I asked for my car to be looked at. The technicians told me they figured out the issue and fixed it for $130. The issue was still not resolved and they told me they actually diagnosed it with the wrong problem and that to fix the actual problem they would charge me $394. They ended up deducting that amount, told me they fixed my car again, and when I went to pick it up it still was not fixed. On top of all of that, I requested an oil change and was charged for one, however one of the technicians then called me asking when the last time I got an oil change was when they had just did it for me? So now I'm convinced it wasn't even done and I was charged for it. They also were using scare attics to try to get me to buy a new battery and told me my car was un-drivable, which was wrong because there was so issue with my battery both times I went to go pick it up. They only said anything about my battery once it was time for me to pay. I felt taken advantage of and I will never go back.

I came into Firestone for an alignment, and Stephen at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. I mentioned that I was in a bit of a hurry, and he made sure my alignment was taken care of as quickly as possible. The whole process was smooth, efficient, and I was out of there before I knew it. Great customer service!

The team at this location are the BEST!! Eric is one of a kind!! This guy handles it all and does it under pressure. They don’t get the respect they deserve for the work they put in. I brought my 2016 Mazda CX-3 to Firestone early this month for extensive servicing including, among some other procedures, spark plug replacement, removal and replacement of the valve cover gasket and the replacing of the rear strut assembly. The work was done flawlessly by Edgar, the technician, at about half of the estimate provided by a Mazda dealership. Stephen, the Service Advisor, deserves enormous credit and thanks for working tirelessly to find the best prices for me, and for always keeping me informed. He was consistently friendly, courteous, hard working and efficient.

I made an appointment in advance to this Commonwealth Firestone. I came in they told me it will be a couple of hours to change the tires and it took the whole day. The customer service is awful, no body picks up the phone and promises are not kept at all. Do not come to this shop and waste your time!

Wish I could give 0 or negative stars I dropped my car off at 9 am for an appointment that I scheduled and the store confirmed and was quoted an hour and a half. I come back at 4 in the afternoon and my car hadn’t even been looked at or taken care of. They only looked at my car 7 hours later after I had come by to remind them. 7 hours for a simple maintenance check. The front had no reason and everyone was blaming other people. This was not acceptable then they said they it will be ready in 10 minutes from me entering, I stood and waited an hour.

I visited this site back in September 2025 and wanted to share my experience. I made an appointment for 8am with the sales associate named Steven and arrived early. I got checked in and, originally, was there for tires. After realizing that the tire that blew out was actually covered under a warranty, I requested to only buy the replacement tire. Immediately, Steven’s tone and attitude changed towards me and even questioned me on if I knew how ‘bad’ two of my tires were. I told him I understood I was due for two new ones soon and would pay for it later because I couldn’t afford that expense at the time (why would I buy two new tires when the replacement was only $60 and my other tire was fine). It felt like as soon as Steven realized he would not be receiving a large commission on me, I was invisible. I was never told how long it would take or to even go sit down. He literally just walked outside and went on his phone lol. After an hour passed, I asked for an update and was told “techs come in late so shortly.” Don’t ask me why they have 8am appointments if they won’t even start working till 9am. At 9:30, my car was finally moved and serviced. It was quickly put back in the parking spot and continued to stay there for around 40 mins. After realizing no one would be checking me out, I went to the front and was told by the general manager that “we should wait for Steven to come back” to check me out. Steven was on the phone the entire duration of my wait- trying to upsell a client (I know this because the phone was on speaker). Steven came over to his desk where my keys and invoice sat, told his general manager he was “too busy” and then just left. I was in disbelief- I stood there in front of the desks hoping someone would take my money so I could finally leave. If you can believe it, the general manager proceeded to ignore me for 10 more minutes before he decided he should be able to check me out himself. How gracious. To be incredibly clear, this location was sexist, disrespectful, and should be ashamed on how they treat customers.

Beyond thankful to the service advisor Stephen at Firestone Boston. I had a flat tire at 7:30 and every tire shop, including this one was closed. I went there with hope that I could be helped and even though he had already closed for the day and all the mechanics had left. He decided to reopen and fix the tire himself and stayed until 8 pm even though they close at 7:00 pm. Once again thank you to Stephen and Firestone for helping me get home safe.

The Worst Experience at Firestone Complete Auto Care (Commonwealth, Boston) On Saturday, September 13, 2025, I had an emergency after finding a 5-inch screw stuck through one of my tires. I called the Firestone located near my house on Commonwealth in Boston. Since it was already 4:30 PM, I thought they might be closing soon, but to my surprise, they were open until 6 PM. A man named Steven answered the phone, and from the very first second, his tone was dry, rude, and careless. He sounded more like an automated service than a real person. I politely asked if they were still open, and all he said in the most dismissive way was, “Yes,” and then stayed silent. Instead of providing helpful information like, “Yes, but we close at 6, how can I help you?” he just didn’t care. I then asked if they were open on Sunday, and again, he snapped back with a plain “No,” without bothering to explain further. At the very least, he could have said, “No, but we’ll be open on Monday.” Nothing. No courtesy, no effort, no professionalism absolutely nothing. When I asked for his name and if he was the manager, suddenly his tone changed. So clearly, he knew how to act professional but simply chose not to. This shows the type of garbage attitude some of these employees carry, treating customers as if the service was free or as if we were a burden to them. Someone like Steven should be reported or at least given a warning for being so inconsiderate and disrespectful. Why would anyone want to give business to a place that treats you like this? On Monday, September 15, I went to Town Fair Tire Center in Needham, where they gave me excellent service and treated me with kindness and respect. Firestone should feel ashamed that other businesses are doing what they clearly can’t actually valuing their customers. Avoid this Firestone at all costs. If you want to be treated like a human being, go somewhere else instead.

Terrible. Quoted me over $2300 and manager said the mechanic is sure it’s either part A or part B that’s the problem (and both A and B were part of their quoted work, which I was more than willing to pay). So I said “So you’re confident it will fix my problem?” and he replied “I think you should take it elsewhere to a mechanic that can pinpoint it”. If their mechanics are THAT BAD, how can they stay in business!? I wasted much of the day and then had to start over down the street. At least the manager admitted I would be better elsewhere. But they shouldn’t quote me $2300 and then send me somewhere else.

I had an amazing experience at this location ! My tire was completely broken, and I came in just as they were about to close. I had no hope since I live far away and couldn’t drive my car. But Stephen, the advisor, and Edward, the technician, went above and beyond to help me. They stayed overtime to get me a new tire and fix my car right then and there. They were kind, professional, and truly cared about getting me back on the road safely. I’m so grateful for their help and highly recommend this location!

I came here a few times and I must say that the guys here are all very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly on every level. I had an oil change on one occasion and the wait time was very, very reasonable. They did a great job. They checked my tire pressure, topped of all fluid levels and they even did a quick check on my brakes. On another occasion, I had my tires rotated and also had a full alignment as well. The wait time for this process was approximately one hour. The technician was great, and he even gave me some helpful advice on how to get the most mileage out of my tires. Overall, the atmosphere here is excellent. The guys are all hard-working individuals who are dedicated to providing the best possible service for their customers. Also, the waiting area has plenty of seating. There is a large snack machine, coffee, and a large screen TV on the wall above the snack machine. I highly recommend this Firestone location.
