Marcus and Derek Swain conducted a SCAM where they rented my unit for $550 per month . They paid rent for 3 months and then stopped paying. Not answering calls Filled it with hazardous material (mattresses, tires , tvs) costing me close to $10,000 in disposal and unpaid rent . They have now abandoned their lease and junk leaving it to me to dispose of it. Their items being hazardous also created a safety concern for other tenants in the building.
Of course , this will go to court and I will win but it’s a headache that they caused
Total scam. This looked like a legitimate business but it must have been closed. Called to set up pick up, he sent invoice, and once I paid I never heard from him again. Similar story to a review made one month ago. Stay away!!!
This business is likely a scam. I spoke to them live to arrange a pick-up of cardboard from our house. I spoke to someone named Mark. We arranged the pick-up time and I made payment. As soon as I made payment they stopped responding. At least a dozen calls, texts, etc. Nothing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
I have a slightly more unique predicament that Recycle Boston saved the day on- First time mom, newly nesting in my third trimester…. You cannot imagine the amount of waste, boxes, etc. we have generated in the last few weeks. Our recycling comes so infrequently that we had piles and piles backlogged. Our bin would be filled up before the truck left my street! We finally made the decision to call for professional help and it was truly one of the best things I did for my mom brain! Alter getting two quotes, we easily went with Recycle Boston because they were communicative, polite, and flexible with extremely fair pricing. I don’t know how often I’ll face this level of recycling needs but I’d definitely return, and recommend to anyone I know!
This so-called "garbage removal company" is an absolute joke. They showed up three hours late—with in a beat-up U-Haul truck, not a professional garbage truck. That should've been the first red flag.
“Marc” then proceeded to take only half of the trash we had clearly agreed on and somehow still charged us five times the going rate for full service. I don't know what kind of math they're using, but it's the kind that only benefits scammers.
No uniforms. No professional equipment. No respect for time, agreements, or customer service. When asked, they gave vague excuses and acted like they were doing us a favor.
This wasn't just a bad experience—it was a blatant rip-off. If you're considering hiring them, don't. You'll get better service from a couple guys with a pickup truck off Craigslist-and probably more honesty too.
Recycle Boston was able to come collect all of our left over cardboard boxes and styrofoam after a huge move the next day. The service is fairly priced and communicating is extremely easy via phone. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone with an abundance of recyclable goods!
Our building doesn't have a recycle program, so we use Recycle Boston for weekly pick up of all of our recycling. It couldn't be easier - they come to my building lobby and I hand them a bag of recycle. White glove service! Highly recommend.

Fast, efficient, and friendly. A quick phone call is all it takes. Just leave items at your door and they swing by and pick it up. Highly recommend.
What a seamless process! After driving all over the place, trying to get my mattress, recycled and failing, and then calling a number of $$$ mattress recycling outlets, and junk removal services, including 1-800, numbers, these guys rose head and shoulders above the rest. They were at my house within a handful of hours, same day!
I understand that for most calls, they can actually provide pick up on the same day, which is incredible.
Mark was fabulous, he went above and beyond, he was able to accommodate some tricky situations for the pick up with a smile and constant reassurance it all was “no problem.”
These will be my go-to guys from here on out whenever I need to get rid of stuff, whether it needs to be recycled or just taken out of my home and life forever!!

I called them up for a rug removal and they came out 30 minutes later. Talk about amazing customer service! These guys are so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
Had a several old iPhones which I needed to dispose of. I gave the number on the website a quick call and connected with Mark who arranged for a pickup from my house same-day. Amazing service and would definitely recommend!!
Not sure how they do not have more negative reviews. They were supposed to pick up my moving boxes yesterday. Arrived late after poor communication. Took a couple handfuls of boxes in 5 minutes then said they needed to finish next day due to traffic outside (even though there was 3 of them) and that they'd text or call that night or next morning. I was very patient with all of that. Then no calls. No answers. And when I went outside today a bunch of the few boxes they took the night before were left on the curb and some had blown into the street. Terrible experience!!
Needed to recycle a bunch of cardboard boxes and Recycle Boston made it a very easy process. Was able to schedule for a quick pickup over the phone and was sent a text with instructions on how to pay. Definitely recommend!
Used Recycle Boston to get rid of my recently broken 50” tv and the process and swiftness of it was well received. They came a few hours after I put the request and payment in- coming to pick up the tv after hours which was a surprise. Much easier process than having to go through the city.

The whole process was very smooth, quick, and easy! I called, sent a picture of how much needed to be picked up, and they came the same day to pick it up! They were also very responsive and would answer any question within minutes over text. Marc the driver was very nice as well:) would recommend!
I called and got intouch with someone right away to remove some my mattress. We set up a pickup time and date and the invoice was sent out right away. Quick and reliable service if you when you need to get rid of old mattress in Boston.
Called to have a few Banker's Boxes full of electronic waste responsibly disposed of. Invoice was payed with a simple Square link and Mark arrived within the hour to clear away our material. Great service all around; we will look to them again in the future for any special recycling needs.
I had an old tire on the rim that I didn’t know what to do with. I called Recycle Boston and spoke to Mark. Mark made it unbelievably easy to work with him and his team! I simply put the tire on my curb, paid a very modest fee via the Square link provided by Mark, and his team picked up the tire that evening! Couldn’t have asked for better service.
