Brought my bottles here a week or so ago. I had also brought another few bags that had not been counted as a separate order, three large contractor bags. I pre-counted my bags before I got there. I think there was a little mix up as I got more back than what I counted on my bottles, and got less back from what I thought the other 3 bags would have been. I think it was pretty close anyway. Overall I think this place is decent and very efficient. In and out in about 15 minutes with like 15 bags of bottles.
I will never come back and I suggest others consider the same. I was shamelessly ripped off for at least $8. When I tried to explain that a mistake had been made I was told "sorry, I wasn't paying attention." The employee actually argued that it was reasonable that 9 trash bags full of cans and plastic water bottles should come to just over $11.
Be warned, random unscheduled Employee breaks throughout the day that results in a wasted trip. Why is bottle redemption in the Augusta area so difficult?
The guys who work here are jerks. One of them can’t be bothered to pull up his pants and is very snippy and demanding. Not a good experience at all. Would not recommend or return. Count your cans before you go and make sure they all have the “ME 5 cent” mark, just don’t be surprised if they try to tell you they can’t take them.
This used to be my number one stop for Honest Returnable transactions. It seems a couple new people that have been hired have been making a lot of Bonus incentives on differentials . I brought in 3 -33 gallon bags of returnable's and only got 6.50 back this recent time. It looks like I have to start bring my returnables to another location for a while until they catch the dishonest bunch ? Beware on any one that brings returnable s in for now on !
Very convenient place for dropping off bottle returns. Friendly and helpful staff. Rarely is there ever a long wait time here. Also a convenient pit stop for snacks and drinks.
Usually, in the past, I’ve had very good service at this redemption center. It’s very clean. The employees are friendly, pleasant, upbeat atmosphere- all of that. I usually return cans and bottles when I reach 10 kitchen sized trash bags full of bottles. I do it on Saturday with my daughter. Several Saturdays in a row I’ve showed up at around 4 o’clock in the place has been closed, even though they posted open until five. The other thing is, I bring the same amount of bottles and all the time and the past few times I wonder if the count was off because I received $10 less than I was anticipating. There’s another reviewer on here who says count your cans before you go in and I second that recommendation.i got weird vibes last Saturday and I knew there was something off. I think I might’ve paid for those beers out back as another reviewer noted.
You gotta be real careful with this place. They have odd closing hours so the employees can have a drink outback. They sat and watched me unload all of the cans so I could see a little dinky sign on the door telling me I would need to wait another 20 minutes. Poor pitstop.

Convenient location, and it was very clean (inside and outside of the building). The service was fast, and *most importantly* everybody there was so kind, polite, and very friendly! I will continue to come here :)
They are open until 5, but after 4pm there IS a 5-bag limit. In my opinion, this is a great idea! Hopefully people won't try to take advantage of this, because it allows the business to be able to serve more people.
I never write reviews but after the awesome service and the speed at which they counted, I had to. The place ran like a well oiled machine. I brought in a full size van full of bottles(4000+) n they had em all counted in probably half hr, I was amazed. I highly recommend neighborhood redemption center 5stars for sure.
Came in on a really busy day and they cracked through the line in no time. I've never see them so busy. They deserve a raise for the hard work I've seen today
Always fast service. Very nice people. Nice selection of drinks and snacks available. Conveniently located. Best bottle redemption around with the most available hours.
I Counted my cans and bottles this time because the last time I went something didn't seem right. I am sure glad I did, they were over 200 cans short in there count. When told them that I had counted them before I came they just immediately gave me the money for the count I had. Makes me wonder how often they count people's returns less then what people have. I would not recommend bringing your returns here and if you do be sure to count them yourself.
A well kept store front and redemption center. While waiting in line to do bottles I noticed the staff efficiently and effectively attend to all their customers. Not to mention, the staff demonstrates exceptional teamwork while doing so.
The folks at neighborhood redemption are always good people and unlike other redemption places in augsta when I go there to redeem bottles I always feel like their count was accurate.
It's really unfortunate that I have to do this, but after my experience i have to say my peace. Usually my children and i bring our bottles to return on Saturdays and we get friendly service from the younger gentlemen.
But this week we went on a thrusday morning where an older man was working by himself (who I believe is the owner) we had 10 bags of bottles that friends had dropped for us for fundraising for my daughters sport. We had to make 3 trips to bring them in and on the 3rd time the door was open for no more than 5 seconds and the owner proceeded to yell at us and say that he could not afford to run 3 acs in the building with us holding the door open. I was instantly mad rightfully so.
I then just wanted to bite my tongue and leave, but as hes counting, a few people had come in and he decided to nastily tell every customer "its gonna be forever because this lady has alot of bags" I will be Damned if this guy makes my daughter feel bad about raising money for something she loves.
As we get out refund for the bottles i told him " you know i was going to set up a bottle drive for my daughter but you know i dont want to aggravate you anymore than you are" its truly unfortunate that one old man has to ruin the whole experience there. I would not recommend this place anymore.
Horrible customer service. One misunderstanding and the owner flips out on my mother. Last time she will go there again. Better of going to Damon’s on Bangor street.
