Zero stars. My stepson broke down they were called prepaid and over 4 hours later left him stuck on the side of the road and THEY cancelled the call. Unprofessional.
The other day, Terry came to my rescue as I thought my work truck was stuck on the top of a crazy hill in the snow weather. Pulled me out in minutes, safely. Needless to say, I got home to the family and I'm grateful. That man deserves a beer, or two.
I just want to thank KDT and I believe the driver was Trey. ( if I remember correctly). He was super kind and calm and winched me out of a driveway. He made this super anxious time for me much easier. I will definitely use them again.
I cannot say enough about the kindness and professionalism showed by the KDT staff this week. After one of their competitors left us stranded on the side of the road due to a made up “policy” of not taking passengers, KDT came to our aid. Not only did they deliver us and the car safely to the dealership but they also gave us important insight and advice that allowed us to get to a safe place. Thanks to their kindness we were able to make it home that day, which seemed impossible before we crossed paths. We are so grateful for KDT and their amazing tow truck drivers!!!
Great towing experience! Very kind workers and fair rates. Easy to work with and the driver went above and beyond. Would highly recommend and will use again if I ever need towing!
I can't thank them enough. My car got towed to a local dealership and sat there into the second day with no answer of when they might actually look at it. KDT towed it to their garage and diagnosed it the same day. The next day it was ready to drive again. Great people. Honest, kind and efficient. I highly recommend.
My 17 year old son experienced his first car accident this afternoon. We live in Topsham and he was on Western Ave in Augusta with his friends when it happened. The police called for a tow and Mark showed up. I was on the phone with my son during the interaction and overheard how kind and professional Mark was to my son. My son was nervous and shaken and Mark's calm demeanor and professionalism really helped make this less stressful for both of us. Mark just arrived at my house with the car, filled me in on what condition he felt the car was in and again, was kind, knowledgeable and professional. I just wanted to acknowledge a job well done! Off the charts experience. Thank you Mark! I came out of Walmart with a flat tire, called AAA at 12:08pm, they reached Mark and he called me in under 5 minutes and was pulling up 10 minutes later. He attempted to inflate the tire first, but it was in bad shape, so he towed it over to Town Fair Tire and they completed the chain of excellent service. By 12:50, I was getting lunch and waiting on my tire change. Thanks again Mark, AAA, and Town Fair Tire.
My brother accidentally locked his keys in the car, and we had no way to get home today which was truly unfortunate.
So we ended up calling the police because it was an emergency and they actually recommended calling KTD Towing and we took their recommendation of course!
So to unlock our car we called them and the lady who answered the phone was very nice and friendly. She was able to get somebody out to us very fast and made us their number one priority!
Which me and my brother both very much appreciated !
When they got to the parking lot at the Home Depot, we were very relieved after the truck driver was able to open our car up within a matter of minutes with no problems or damage to the vehicle which was really impressive!
And I want to point out that I have read all the reviews and I think this towing company is very underrated! They do really good work and they treat you right.

No experience with the company. Experienced one of their drivers unsafe driving practices on the highway. Tailgating, speeding, not signaling. I hope they do better. Roads are unsafe enough without their help.

Had vehicle trouble. AAA call for towing and rental car. AAA got towing company. KDT towing. Great people. Went out of their way to send a small tow truck to us to check photo ID and he waited with our Yukon XL 4x4 until a their flat bed was able to arrive. We got on our way. After having to call to have my car towed for the second time in 3 days. The tow driver went above and beyond and attempted to start my car for me. Due to this he was able to save me a towe charge. Thank you so much
The lady who answer the phone is externally rude. Asking me personal questions about why my car was towed. I told her she had all the information she needed with the police saying to release the vehicle to me. She still made me wait outside in the cold for hours before they released my vehicle. Which wasn’t even off the tow truck yet because it was barely even there an hour. Yet they charged me a whole night of storage for a tow from Sidney to Augusta was 250$!!!! Worst tow company in the state of Maine! I’d rather push and pull my own car next time than have to deal with her and this rotten company again. The lady on the phone really needs to take a course in customer service. She is just extremely rude and condescending and does not care about customers. Not sure how much somebody can suck at customer service and still have their job she should be fired.

I really like the tow operator, very knowledgeable. However, when I called in to ask questions the woman on the phone did not bother to listen and assumed instead of listening. I wanted to because of the tow operator check out switching auto repair services.
I've used these guys when I'm in a tight spot before, and one recent Monday when I slid sideways off a steep ice covered driveway in Vassalboro they showed up fast and did an incredible job pulling my vehicle out of the ditch. Always great work, always professional, exactly what you hope for!
My truck broke down last night in Augusta. KDK got me going as quickly as they could. I would describe their efforts as timely, friendly, and knowledgeable. They went the extra mile to show me every courtesy they could.
The service was great. Professional, courteous & professional. My Van broke down in Augusta last Spring in the middle of an intersection. On the first leg of a road trip to Vermont this week, I found myself with a car that wouldn’t start after stopping at a gas station outside of Augusta. Car had never, ever given me an ounce of trouble..had certainly never stranded me in a strange city before. It was early morning and online reviews led me to KDT.
The gentleman that came out was so nice and within a minute recognized the problem as a starter that was starting (haha) to go and had the car running. I got to Vermont with no further issue and got the car sorted. Grateful for quick, honest service and his kindness.
My car's lower ball joint went right in my apartment complexes entrance. They sent someone asap (he arrived faster than they predicted) and he was super great. It was a mess and he figure out how to get my baby into a parking space so I can fix her. Thank you for all the help! I know it was a Monday kind of issue but I appreciate the fact that he was trying so hard to not inflict more damage to my vehicle. Thank y'all!
This has to be the worse tow company who has ever existed! They damage your vehicle during a tow and take absolutely no responsibility for the damage! The owner, Stacy is one of the rudest women you'll ever speak to. Vulgar obscenities is how she communicates. If you ever experience a damaged vehicle from this company, like so many have, don't let it slide. Get a police report immediately. Get damage estimates immediately. File a court case immediately! I did and won my small claims case against them and the Judge ordered them to pay! Don't let them intimidate you in any way and believe me, Stacey will try! Make them accountable for their careless actions!
My fiance and I got our Jeep stuck off roading and we were at our wits end after a day of dealing with other companies that couldn't help us out. Mark showed up with a kick butt suburban and a winch and a GREAT attitude and we knew we were in good hands! He and his wife run an awesome company.
I ran out of fuel in my Peterbilt just before the toll plaza in West Gardiner. I was heading to the service plaza for fuel. It was about 11pm and I had no idea who to call. I used Google and found Statewide and these guys right nearby in Augusta. I gave these guys a call and explained the situation. The women on the phone was very nice and said she would have a driver contact me. I misunderstood and thought she meant a driver would call me, not that she dispatched a diver to me. I called back a few times asking about various things. She was nice the whole time. About an hour later a guy showed up with about 15 gallons of diesel fuel. He was nice and professional. So far so good right? Then comes the bill. When I asked about it, he said I wasn't going to be happy. It cost my company $278.75 for 15 gallons of fuel! I understand that it was a callout at night, but that seems a little high to me. My boss was not pleased. Overall I was happy with the service. I'm just not crazy about the price.
Overall a very satisfied customer. Honda security system locked down the vehicle. Tow truck driver overrode the system within 60 seconds, only charged for service call. We could’ve been really hosed were treated fairly and honestly. Will call again if we ever run into trouble
