Best place ever. I dropped my car off, they called me a few hours later with the problem and an estimate. My repair got delayed for parts, so they let me drive one of their cars for the weekend. My car gets fixed, I go to pick it up, Greg says, "well, we ran into an unexpected [details omitted]", he looks down at the bill, smiles and crosses off the bill amount and says, "but we gave you an estimate of ..., and we're going to honor that". I paid the estimate, and my car runs great! (This was my second visit, since things went so well the first time) Grout is consistent, professional service done right.

Great service and prices. Carl greg and Mollysue are the best. Netta should stick to being a treat giver of the dog.

Greg and his team are amazing to work with. They’ve been diagnosing and maintaining my Honda Pilot for the past 4 years. They always keep me updated every step of the way, and if any additional work is needed, they make sure to consult with me first. Greg and his team did a fantastic job. On my 1956 Thunderbird diagnosed the problems car never ran better feel confident now driving it around town and shows. Highly recommend and will be taking my other 3 cars to get serviced

My battery light came on at 8 on my way to work. I stopped at Grout, they gave me a lift and told me they would look at it today. They installed a new alternator and changed the oil all by 4 the same day. Greg and the Family are Super Great, and I recommend them to everyone! Thanks Greg!

Greg, the owner, and his wife are both great! He took care of my motor mounts at a reasonable price, and explained why they needed to be fixed in detail (but without using confusing jargon). He even gave me the old parts back so I could try and get a refund at the previous shop, as they didn't fix it correctly. My car runs smoother than it ever has now!

My family has been going to Greg for 30 years. Whatever the issue, they will make it right. The only company that is more worried about customer satisfaction and safety than their own bottom line.

Limped my car in for advice and they had it on a lift and diagnosed with a game plan within 45 minutes. Top of the line professionalism and over the top customer service! Offered to put my frozen foods in their freezer to prevent thawing! Super kind and understanding. Work was done before they estimated, highly recommended! (+ 5 stars for having a shop dog)

Very good experience at Grouts. Ryan muffler suggested them after verifying my issue was not exhaust related. Greg and staff communicated well on the issue and only performed work that was required. I will highly recommend them.

For the second time in the past couple years, I showed up without an appointment, needing someone to take a look at my car rather urgently. Both times, Greg greeted me with a big smile and immediately hopped into the car to drive it around to diagnose the issue. He even stayed late to fix my car that same day. Staff was professional, and the technicians expertise was obvious. Previous mechanic said it could not fix loose blinker that sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t and also dash lights. So I took it to the dealership and they also said they could not fix it because the car was too old. so I took it to Grout automotive and they fixed every single problem that the car had and for a good fair price! I highly recommend these guys!

Did amazing the first couple times with my car. Until I just discovered that the reason why I can't get the abs light to turn off. Is because they had somehow cut my ABS cord. My abs worked perfectly fine until I had some work done. I took it back and told them about all the lights that were now on. They said since it's running fine nothing is wrong. I just had to get emergency work done by a family member who is a mechanic because I'm low on funds. And found that my ABS wire is completely cut. 100 percent not okay. I thought grout was the place I was going to go to for the lifespan of my car. But I have changed my mind.

Greg is helpful, honest, and kind. I live 1,000 miles away and was thinking of buying a car in Florence, long distance. I called Grout Auto to see if they would take it for a test drive for me. I said I’d pay them for the service. Greg took the car for a test drive, and then conducted an actual inspection of the car. He was thorough! He called me and told me what the problems were. Gave me an honest, detailed opinion. All this, knowing I wouldn’t be a customer of his. He also refused payment for the service because he did not want to be biased in his assessment. He and the woman I spoke with (I assume his wife) were extremely kind from beginning to end. I wish I could transport them to my town to be my mechanic. It’s hard to find someone like Greg these days, who genuinely cares about his customers, strangers, and probably everyone else. Thank you Grout Auto!

This is the second time I’ve had one of my cars worked on here. The service is beyond top notch, fantastic service and communication. Our car was ready quickly and the service cost was extremely fair. They go above and beyond with the work. I’d highly recommend this place.

I met Greg back when I was still working and he fixed our rag-tag trucks and kept them on the road, so naturally when he opened his own shop he was an obvious choice, but now he has grown and he hires good help because his name is on the sign out front. He cares about people and he's honest and fair. Who else would you want working on your car? This is the place to go. He'll fix what needs to be fixed, and he won't do the things that don't need fixing. A-1

Highly recommendable! Went there after being told by a previous shop I needed certain repairs that were around $1200.00 to be told by Grout what really needed to be fixed. It was hundreds of dollars cheaper. Very pleased with their work and honesty.

I had my first experience with Grout Automotive a couple weeks ago and I'll definitely be back. I had originally taken my car to Honda in Florence after I noticed a thumping noise while driving. They charged me close to $200 just to look at it and quoted me thousands of dollars in repairs (I made the mistake of browsing new cars while I waited for my car to be serviced). I declined their service and called around for quotes for the 2 issues Honda said was causing the thumping noise (torn boot struts and rusted axels). After talking with Grout they quoted less than Honda for the repairs (as did the other places I called), and said they wanted to look at my car prior to working on it to make sure Honda correctly diagnosed the issues. I brought my car to Grout without an appointment and they took it for a drive with me right away. Within 5 minutes of driving Greg said he thought it sounded like my wheel bearings were loose. He pulled my car straight into the garage and had a mechanic tighten them right away. This fixed my thumping issue and when I tried to pay, Greg wouldn't charge me. Greg seems like a very trustworthy and honest person. I will definitely be bringing my car back to him and will be sending my husband there as well for any car issues we have in the future.

I had a great experience with Grout Automotive. My girlfriend took her car there after her Altima had some issues. They gave her a quote after diagnosing it free of charge. She suggested i take my vehicle there. I had some noise issues after repairs were completed at another shop. I took it there when i got off in the morning and they drove me home and called me when i woke up with an estimate to repair the wheel bearings. I approved the repair and picked it up in less than 24 hours from when i first dropped it off. I’m completely impressed with their skills and professionalism. Greg is definitely great at what he does and i felt no pressure while I was there. I’ll definitely be coming back here if there is any other issues with my vehicle.

Very pleased with the work done by Greg and his team. I live 1000 miles away, but my daughter lives in Northern Kentucky. I searched the web for garages with good reviews and found Grout. I spoke with Greg on the phone and explained our long distance situation and was put at ease. Once the work was done, Greg called me and went over the bill and the customer experience was exceptional. I don't get that kind of personalized service where I live at the local service centers. Over the past several years, I have purchased and had tires installed, oil changes, tire rotations, brakes - all long distance. I get an honest assessment of the vehicle and what is needed - piece of mind when my daughter is in another state. The last time I visited her, I made a point to visit the garage in person to put a face with a name and thank Greg and Staff for keeping my daughter's vehicle safe.

If I could rate them a 10 I would. I have been going to Grout for oil changes for about a year now (I'm lazy). I have always had good experiences with them. While they may not always be the quickest their staff is amazing and their service is unbeatable so I don't mind spending the extra time. The reason I'm finally posting a review is for my fiance's interaction with Grout on 8/21/18. At my urging she had dropped her car off for an oil change the day before. They were completely booked, but after asking about a different day Greg, the owner, got on the line and squeezed her in. We missed their closing time so we came back the next day to pick up her car. Greg had called the night before about an issue with the oil pan, but we didn't think much of it until we saw a bill for $160. Since he couldn't let us drive out with a leaking pan, they had to replace the whole thing. We suspect that the cause of it was actually previous people who changed her oil over tightened the plug and stripped the threading. Greg still acknowledged the perception that they were the last people who touched it and removed the oil pan from the bill completely. Needless to say, Grout has gained 2 loyal customers. It is hard to find honest mechanics that will do right by the customer even if they take a hit in the process. Greg and his people are, by far, the best that I have dealt with and I cant recommend them enough!
