After attempting to go through another service company with horrible customer service and a terrible experience overall. I contacted recycling express, I was able to work with Megan and Chris. They were extremely helpful and understanding to my circumstances. They assured me they could have a dumpster delivered next day, however, they ended up delivering same day. I would highly recommend recycling express to anyone. They are very professional and easy to work with. Look no further for all your recycling needs!
Its really cluttered in here but there's a yard guy who when above and beyond for his job. His name is Joe Perry. I didn't have to get out to do anything
They load way too heavy if you have a sleeper + 53 foot dry van trailer. I would try to let them know you have a sleeper cab and not to load over 45k pounds if that's you. Also arrive and stay low fuel if possible. I was 500 lbs over on drive axle, no room on tandems (100 lbs) and Kentucky has no APU exemption. Small TA 1 mile away, scale there or asap. Also good place to wait if early, this place opens at 0800 Eastern and nowhere to wait. When you get here pull on scale and call number. Very very tight yard and backing across mud pit, don't get stuck.
There is no instruction for check in and not enough space to back up on dock
I arrived 1 pm and got the dock 2:30 while nobody is in front of me just because they don’t have a spcae to exit or entering
I was offered $1.50 a lb for bare bright copper and $2 for brass I think the lady at the window is scamming people. Avoid going here you will be scammed.
I’ve been to recycling express a couple of times. Never had a bad experience or racist encounter. It is just like any other job. You can’t expect to arrive when it’s closing time and everyone is tired and ready to go home. I highly recommend and to those stop sensitive
Been doing business with this company for about one year now very nice people to deal with from the owner all the way to the employees have always been a pleasure to work with highly recommend
I just want to share that I’ve been calm new express recycling for about six months now and when I got a blowout tire on my truck they offered to help me they fixed my Truck for me to make sure I got back out on the road I want to trash no other scrapyard besides this one and I just want to say thank you to everybody there that help me out and everybody that works there
Overall the worst experience in my life. The employees are always very rude and do not help you one bit. If you want nails, staples, sharp pieces of metal stuck in you're tires each time go to recycle express. Very unorganized and shady business. The pathways are always covered in nails and broken glass the entire way to get to where you need to dump you're metal. I would not go here or recommend unless you want nails in you're tires and end up paying for new ones every time. Been personally going here for over twelve years and they refuse to clean there paths it's very unsafe and unprofessional.
The time is not entirely accurate. They actually stop letting people in at 10 till 5pm. So I'd be sure and be there by 4:30 so you have time to unload. If you have to scale and drop off inside and 4:50pm. rolls around and you've only been about to do one or the other they'll have you come back. This has happened to me twice.
Very small area for the volume of traffic. No instructions or phone number posted. Pull on scale, get out, go to the left(on foot) at the scale/shipping & receiving windowaa, talk to the sweet young lady, or pull off as I did and get cursed at and threatened by James(yard guy) because another of their employees gave wrong inbound directions, after trying your best to be nice and apologize
