Bee using this service for years never had a issue with being shorted on the scrap l bring, and always know the pricing as I can call there and get prices witch are updated daily ,plus the crew there get you in and done quick quick
The place was a little hard to find due to leaves on the trees. There is one door to back up to and a line of customers formed across the gravel parking lot. Once I got to the door Marshall was quick and efficient in weighing in the different items I had and I was pleased with the resulting cash payout. If you have copper to drop off clean any paint off or it gets classed as dirty and pays less.
Dustin and his guys are outstanding. I spent hours online searching for an e-scrapper that would buy all the kinds of electronics we had. My buddy and drove here from Colorado with over 3000 lb of e-scrap. They bought everything, some for a nominal amount, some for well above our expectations. Dustin bought our HD and DVD drives and low-grade PSU boards, then took the time to sort thru a dozen boxes of motherboards and pick out the server, mid- and high-grade boards, which are worth more. We walked out with checks for $2200, 50% more than we were expecting. Was EASILY worth the 650 mile drive. Mike
How much is the price of copper?
Doesn't matter it's steel
This ain't steel
you got a magnet?
no
we got magnets. look at this. sticks to it. it's ferrous. steel. not copper
This is the 2nd time I've drove hour here and an hour back with two totes of telecom board, ram, memory all of it all ready cleaned and sorted to be told the guy that messes with this isn't here both times and they act like not even interested in dealing with it anyways. So my question is is it even worth wasting my damn time to come back again? Or try. Do you guys scrap this stuff or not??
I have been to a few other yards but always go back to this place the service is great the people are fast and the payment is usually a tad more(Ymmv).
We drove 4 hours to scrap our computer stuff we had collected over the years. Was worth the trip for the education and helpful advice.
I highly reccomend American ZScrap for your one stop for e scrap
This was my 1st time going to any scrap yard. The crew were all really nice and helpful. This will be where my loyalty lays for all future scrapping. Thanks ASC!
Fast, easy way to make money and clean up that trash out in the yard that's been an eyesore forever. Environmentally friendly, why throw it in the dump when you can cash it in. Cha-ching!
Pretty decent place to scrap. As long as they are not in a hurry and all talking to the guy writing numbers at the same time it's great. I always go here ever since I found out about them. Much better experience than other local yards.
The guys working there were very nice and helpful. They were extremely quick about sorting things out! Small company with excellent service. Thank you.
There are many companies and individuals who claim to be companies in the scrap business. Many of them just aren't the type that are pleasant to deal with. I appreciate that American Scrap Company operates in a professional manner and has responsible and respectful employees. We have had an ongoing relationship with American Scrap for nearly 10 years and have never had anything but great interactions. I would not hesitate to recommend them to another business looking for an e-waste solution.
The most awesome place around, family run, great bunch of guys they get you in and out quickly if you know what you are doing and have your metals separated properly, makes the job easy on both ends, but will say they are very helpful and patient if you don't have it separated. Thanks for always being so GREAT! !
I'll tell anyone who asks, American Scrap is the place to take your "E-Scrap" (new word to me). Based on past experience, I thought my metal junk wasn't worth a visit to a junkyard. Thanks to Dustin and the rest of the dock crew I have new respect for this business and its honest, hardworking and friendly staff. It's hard work, but you are providing an essential service to our planet. Thanks!

The upsides:
It's a nice little place to visit to drop off small loads of scrap. No intimidatingly large yard to search for staff or where to drop off stuff.
Good for a person who can't stand throwing the planet's recyclable materials away in the trash any more.
(Rusty roofing nails don't belong in the trash, those nails deserve to be recycled.)
Its great that they don't demand 200+ lbs of materials before paying out.
Even small loads of 1lb is considered.
The parking lot was fine. There was no overcrowding.

Here is the Real Entrance to visit:
The west side of the building is the entrance. It is the loading/unloading door on the west side of the building.
