Overall, I believe they do a great job figuring things out and preparing parts you need. I got two different prices for the same item, from different people; so minus 1 start. I do, however, think they are fair and fast. Matched my engine and away we go!
Easy to deal with and gave me good value for my car.
Alot of people complaining about customer service saying they're rude, to me they just seem like genuine mechanics. Not rude, just to the point. If you want perfect service go to chic filet, if you want car people go here.
They dont even let me look inside for the part i need they said they dint sell hoses so this is at salvage auto part at people own risk ?? So whats the problem?? So they can keep there yunk cars i can keep my money racist cuz i am spanish and some asian guys went there they even let get inside too
At Yaw's auto salvage, you get a very reasonable deal on cars of various make and models. I usually buy tires, parts and more from this salvage yard. They are so welcoming and highly rated when it comes to legitimacy. You negotiate a car and pay on the spot, they produce your owner's title within a few days. I was amazed about their services. Take a walk through the yard and see for yourself, then let ME know...
Went to find a part for my wife car and I couldn't get the part cause of cars stacked on cars about to fall off of the car.went to leave and exited out the wrong way and the employees came running out the door yelling at me for going out the wrong way.it was first time going and it is definitely will be my last time
The owner is alright, his brother is a complete prick, and with no set prices u will get a different price depending who u ask. Done using scam of a company.
Place is an absolute dump, might as well be a landfill the way there cars are. Front desk people are about as dumb as rocks. Go anywhere else but here.
Sad to see such greedy and rude ownership. Don’t waste your time here unless you want to pay double than what Amazon will bring it to your front door for. Wrench n go or u pull it, or drive out to car country in newton. Trust me just forget this place exists.
This fella who runs this biusness is a joke. Came to look at an ls motor and had an attitude before we even walked in. Not worth your time for his junk. Came over an hour away for him to kick us out for absolutely no reason. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else.
I needed a specific tire/hub so I could get back home over the weekend. After calling several places Yaws was able to get me what I needed within the hour and made a very stressful situation much less stressful. You guys are the best!! Thank you so much!!!
Worse place to be and if you call then asking for parts they always say i don't have that.
I've been working on cars for 20 yrs and now if yiu go there yiu have to pull out your own parts but the problem is they have the vehicles stuck on top of each other so imagine how dangerous is for some one to get in there???? I just walked all over the junk yard and left.
So i don't really recommend this place and never going back there
Fair prices, and are very respectful. They are helpful and try to aid the best they can. They have tools that can be used to pull parts. You have to sign in and let them check your tool box. Very good business.
I needed an 2.4L Chevy engine for my car and they had the right one at a very fair price. Pickup was easy with their help, and my car is running great!
Reasonable towing and storage prices. You don't get a whole lot for the vehicle you bought for a friend and he had it a whole week then did this to it. See pics. Luckily no one was killed. A lesson in drunk driving-just don't do it!
It was only my second time there and let me tell you... it was a blast. I found tons of stuff for my truck and then some. The guys up front were helpful and curtious. Didn't cost me a dollar to get in even. Can't wait till the rain subsides for a min to get back in there. ♡♡♡♡I think I'm in love♡♡♡♡♡♡
They've got a lot of cars and mostly everything you need, you're just gonna have to look for it. The only thing is is that the cars are so abundant that they're stacked so its a little sketchy climbing up on one to look for a part. Plus the organization of the cars wasn't really a thing. It took me a while to find the car I needed and it wasn't in the section it should have been in. Other than that though its a pretty cool place to go and look around for stuff you need.
Had fun looking around and getting fun pictures, hoping to slowly get enough items to build my go cart this year. Items get pricey every where but at least this is a great opportunity to see what they're made of lol.
The owner isn't bad but his crew that sits up at front is rude as hell, if you ask owner for a price when you get to the front to pay they want to tack on 10-15$ to whatever the owner told you. The yard is very disorganized different brands and models scattered everywhere it's hard to even find what you're looking for and some areas appears to be dangerous to the point of avoiding the area all together reguadless of what you need.
Told me two different prices over the phone 25 the first time and then 35 the second time because I asked them to take it off for me. When I got there they asked me how much I was told I told them the higher amount of 35 because they were nice enough to take the wheel off for me . However they charged me like $4 more than that... I guess that's why they saying girls are supposed to take guys with them to the junkyard
Biggest junkyard I've been to. Nice guys and reasonable prices if you pull your own parts. Definitely wear boots. Don't be afraid to haggle if you know the price is too high.
Ignore the people whining about them not going out and walking through thousands upon thousands of cars to find one little piece for you. That is NOT how junkyards work. Common, larger parts such as doors, hoods, batteries, and tailgates are usually kept up front and they can generally tell you if they have it. The reason why junkyards are so cheap for parts and so great is because of the fact that you GO FIND WHAT YOU NEED. Entitled brats that don't want to do any legwork need to go pay the premium for new OEM parts or cheap eBay parts that generally break in 6 months to a year.
So me and a couple of my friends went here looking for some interior and a few exterior parts for a civic and some of those parts could be universal. As we're looking around a worker comes over and asks what we are looking for, we tell him that we're looking for some parts for a civic and he proceeds to tell us that we should stop messing with other cars and go to the area with all civics or he'll kick us out. However, we weren't "messing" with any random cars, we were checking them to see if they had any air intakes/aftermarket items that were compatible with a civic. Besides that, good selection.
Unreliable and rude service. Called to junk my old car and for a tow. Old man confirmed a mid afternoon pick up the next day. No one came and I never got a call why, which really sucks when you take the afternoon off from work to meet them. When I called them, the old man said they were busy and never apologized for breaking appointment. After a few more attempts to get a tow, I just gave up. I'm sure if I called a few more times, they'd realize that they're a salvage yard and may need to conduct business with people, but I don't have years to wait.
The man I talked to about buying my car for parts was rude and tried to give me lower price than was estimated to a family member the day before. Two days later and they still haven't picked up my car after being told they would come that same day. I found another salvage company that offered me $100 more than Yaws. I would not recommend selling your totaled car to this company.
Poor customer service. If you need help to find something do not come here.
I have been here a few times and no one has really been helpful at all. One time I needed a vehicle lifted up to take off a part no one really wanted to help me out. The guy sitting in the chair said well are there any others you can get the part off? Finally he got up and walked away with out saying anything. So I just followed him assuming he was going to help me. He did finally help me out.
At a more recent visit I was looking for a fan for a radiator I start to walk in and four guys are at the front desk. No one says hello or what do you need help with. So I just keep walking, then about when I reach the door to the yard one guy speaks up and says "hay what are you looking for, you just done walk in" with an attitude like I did something wrong. I tell them what I am looking for and they say they don't have it. I did have a few other thing I was looking to get but decided to leave based on the customer service I received.
