Use it up don't put in in the trash or landfill

I also occasionally find some weed killer and other household chemical type supplies.
I also drop off stuff when helping my elderly neighbors when cleaning out old supplies
Had some stuff to get rid of and the men working here made it very easy. Came right out and took the stuff out of my truck. Friendly guys, gave me advise on what goes on the curb and what had to go here. Very organized.
Only the second time there but the staff is exceptional. They are at your car before you get out. Very friendly and seem to genuinely care about helping you.
I was able to offload a bunch of items left behind by the previous homeowner. Multiple cans of paint, paint wipes, empty aerosol cans, bug killer and repellants, WD-40, paint thinner, and cleaning products. They accepted every item I brought and were very quick and helpful.
I dropped off a 42” tv . Which I found out I could’ve left by my dumpster. The guys at the center were very nice and professional. They took care of me in a very friendly manner!
Great for dropping off your broken TVs, old VHS tapes, empty or even full propane grill tanks, old paint cans..dead batteries..they literally take anything.
I love the fact that I can get supplies for nothing. The staff never responds when I say hello up on arrival or thank you when I'm leaving. I just find that odd. Either way I'll always go back as it helps me keep my costs down with my cleaning service.
Hazardous waste disposal closed on July 6th at 11am, posted hours say they would be open first Saturday of the month until 12 noon, which this is. Disappointing as trying to do the right thing in getting rid of these dangerous liquids and chemicals, driving 40 minutes just for it to be closed. Holiday was July 4th on Thursday, didn't think that would extend for the whole week closed for them.
Mom has some fluorescent bulbs that need to be disposed of properly. Sure, they're fun to burst but we don't want to have lead and other nasty chemicals leeching into the ground water, now do we? After checking any number of websites, we found that Lee County has a household chemical waste drop off center here.
Easy to pull in, hand over the bulbs (I'm amazed they didn't break in transport) and be off. We also have some household batteries but they don't take those. The guy said they can just go in the regular trash which seems odd. But okay!
A number of signs indicate that you CAN NOT drop off stuff here when the place is closed. There are security cameras present.
Absolute best way to share half used materials. Also get for free what you need. Paint, lawn care, cement cleaner, car care, plumbing care. You never know what's available but always worth looking. Save $$$
