WOW!!! I have been here several times. They havi g sewing stuff, lots. Bought 2 bolts of fabric and pots for my plants. Prices were real good. Staffmember Marvo was the best. This place has a room full of LPs and jewelry. Tons of commercial fabric. The space is tight and with all the items please take your time and have a good look. Parking is available- one way in another way out. Located on 23rd right off Waldo. Recycle reuse, yup. Thumbs up.

Always like going here to see what they have. Lots of great stuff for really good prices.

The mission statement is great. The prices on some items off the charts. Used sewing machine $300!! What?? I would have grabbed it at $50 but not more than that. Store was filled to ceiling so much to dig through wear gloves maybe mask due to dust. I am not a digger so I walked with out with not much. The 2 incredibly high priced pieces of fabric the cashier was willing to go down still I paid way more than I should but felt worthy cause. Bathroom is beyond bad and no toilet paper so bring your own. I guess I could say I’m lucky they had one for the public! I would not return . So many things so junky so dirty. It would be great for artist who solders and builds. Just not my kind of bargain hunting store.

This place is absolutely amazing. I am a Vhs collector and this place never fails to have an amazing selection each time. I only discovered this place in October and have found some goldmines in the Vhs realm. Even with other stuff as well. Just love coming here.

Fantastic place to check out and buy things. I would recommend a trip once a month because new stuff comes in all the time. The month gives the staff time to process the items for the store.

I like to browse for affordable material for arts here, from tile, to paper. I also found a nice wicker basket perfect for remotes etc. And nice cards to send to family too. Lots of sinks, doors..

Prices vary. Some over priced some "underpriced" I would recommend checking it out.

i have been a loyal customer of repurpose project for years. recently my visits have gotten significantly less frequent and i fear are on the verge of ceasing entirely. when i first started shopping here in 2021, you could spend less than $5 and get a whole bag of great items, and almost all of the stuff was priced verbally by the cashiers who were all more than fair. in 2023, i purchased an absolutely perfect almost fully functional (had a couple sticky keys) vintage typewriter here for $5, which was the tagged price. now here we are in 2025. everything has price tags and my god, the nerve they have selling things they got for free at these prices! now their typewriters seem to start at $45 and are almost always broken. i end up laughing at a few price tags on whatever broken junk they’ve decided is worth $15 that day and leaving empty handed. this organization should really focus less on opening new stores and more on keeping true to their mission statement. this is the one place i would expect prices to not rise like everywhere else! i understanding needing funds to keep a place like this running. but more fundraisers and less screwing over people with prices would probably make for a better long term outlook.

Don't go to this place if you want to drop off less than 100 square foot of tile. I had over 100sq feet and she didn't believe me after telling me( i'll pass), she didn't even bother checking. said they weren't matching (they we're) and around 50 new light bulbs. she also said she didn't take the only thing she wanted was 4 shop vacs and a roll of base cove we ended up having to go to my farm witch is tight. this is the picture of what I had.

Unfortunately, I have to stop coming by. The staff just isn’t very friendly and the prices have climbed way too high for a thrift store. It used to be a fun stop, but it’s lost its welcoming vibe.

The staff is super inviting and lgbtq friendly. They have so many nice things there. I highly recommend giving it a visit. Prices are great too and the spade for a door handle? Genius

I love this store, such a creative way to recycle. Some things, like fabrics are over priced but still a fun place!

I could go on forever about how special this spot is. Here is a list of reasons why I love Repurpose Project: - it is the perfect go to spot to find bits and pieces for countless different crafts. from painting, electrical, sewing, collaging, collecting, and on and on, they almost have it all - incredibly fair pricing - promotion of environmental and societal health (saving the environment by decreasing landfill! while promoting a safe environment for shoppers and employees) - anytime I’m in a creative drought, a trip to repurpose perks me right back up One of Gainesville’s many gems. Could not recommend more!!

Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose :) The Repurpose Project is a wonderful place to donate specific items and also purchase used and repurposed items at very low prices! Definitely a must visit in Gainesville:)

This is a great place to discover quality used items at excellent prices. You’ll find a wide variety of treasures here! The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help.

I volunteer at the Repurpose Project, and the facility becomes more complete and organized every day, vastly increasing your chances of finding what you need. Just know there are now two other locations: 🔹Renovator Reuse at 1814 NE 23rd Ave for building materials and tools. 🔹Reuse Planet at 1540 NE Waldo Rd for furniture, appliances and clothing.

I can’t believe I only just started going here—this place ROCKS. I went there to find things to decorate my new apartment on a budget, and ended up getting 7 high quality frames for under $20. I come here pretty much every weekend now just to see what cool things I can find—highly recommend!!!

Always worth a look when trying to find supplies for crafts and home projects or just unusual items and great place to donate your excess supplies. They clearly spend a lot of time and effort trying to organize items to make them easier to find. I’ve found sewing notions and fabric, vintage woodworking tools, camera equipment, microscopes, office binders, vintage notebook paper, frames, kids crafts kits, upholstery fabric, baskets and countless other treasures. Truly a critical resource for our community.

my expectations for thrift stores have been blown out of the water and my expectations have been irrevocably raised. a hobbyist's paradise. an organized chaos wonderland. you will find what you need and what you didn't know you needed. I bought more than I usually would at a store like this but didn't leave with something I wouldn't genuinely use. wild.

The long haired redhead working the register today (May. 31) was a bit rude and just very unhelpful. I asked a couple of questions and they were all met with shrugs or one word answers that I’d have to ask more follow up questions for or just didn’t get answered. I usually have a pretty good time here but not this one, it felt like I was inconveniencing her and she just wasn’t nice. Hoping she was just having a bad day and this isn’t everyday interaction.

This place is definitely not what I was expecting but turned out to be the most amazing little spot! We were so impressed by how organized it was right down to the pencils & bottle caps. The time & effort the staff has put in to making it the most creative little place. We will definitely be back!

This place is the best! The store takes donations of all kinds, even junk, to be repurposed. There are so many good finds here if you look deep enough. You may find something you needed for incredibly cheaper than normal price that would have otherwise ended up in the trash! I have been here many times already and I definitely will keep going - it's fun just to look at everything! It has that local Gainesville charm.

I absolutely adore this place!!! I always find tons of items to use in art projects. The best prices I have ever found on arts and crafts supplies. This place has everything. Paper, fabric, tools, electronics supplies, lumber, stuff to remodel a house....and everything in between. I do hope that they get the air conditioning fixed though! It was HOT in there!

Used to be a great place but honestly a lot has changed. The staff will literally just have a conversation and completely ignore you while you're standing at the counter. When one Does deem to notice you, like this one lady I asked a question of the other day, apparently being polite or actually helpful in dealing with a customer isn't one of the goals any longer? It's been something I have noticed the last 3 or 4 visits there - I have be a patron there for years....but after recent experiences I will literally never step foot in The Repurpose Project again. I can go to the flea market in Waldo to find used items for crafts and Not leave feeling like I have been insulted or belittled by asking a question or wanting to pay for a purchase.

What a great experience! You definitely want to take your imagination when you visit! It can be a little confusing to navigate and possibly overwhelming but there is some organization to the lovely madness! Just ask someone for assistance and you are sure to have a wonderful human interaction!! Stop by if you’re suffering from writers block or stuck in your creative process or if you know exactly what you’re looking for!! It is rare to come across such a gem of peculiarities and eccentricity! Looking forward to another visit!

Best used junk store EVER. Chances are if they don't have it, you probably never really needed it, LOL. You can't beat the prices. Incredible concept to reuse items instead of throwing away. Great place to let your creative side go wild or just find that perfect piece to reuse.

It is kind of like a garage sale graveyard. You know all the things that didnt sell at a garage sale, they go to live here forever. Best place to browse but nothing really worthy of purchasing. Most items should have been at the dump 15 years ago.

Thanks to the repurposed project my husband Anthony Kwan made amazing Halloween Displays!

I stopped in with my wife. Glad we did. Found a relic from my five year old self. An incomplete set if World History Encyclopedia's. A buck a book, well worth the price of admission. If you live in Gainesville you need to stop in. If you are visiting, make time to stop in.
