I'm afraid that Discount Tire is losing it's professionalism. It used to be that—when I went here—I always felt like I was getting taken good care of and getting a great deal. It doesn't' feel that way anymore. It now feels like I'm "just another customer" and like I'm always being pushed for the up-sell. I had to repeatedly say no for the tire protection plan, and the associate still took the liberty to total everything up including the protection plan just for me to say no AGAIN. Then I was asked about an alignment and I told them that the alignment is fine and doesn't need to be adjusted, just to have them ask me about the alignment AND the tire protection plan AGAIN after the tires were installed. It also took longer than usual to install my tires despite ordering them ahead of time and being on time for my scheduled appointment. I still had to wait 45 minuted before my truck was even in the shop. The install was quick, which was nice, but they set the tires at 4 psi lower than the door label specifies, so I had to fill them up myself when I got home. The shop atmosphere was also a lot different. It used to be hustle and bustle back in there with the techs working hard and doing their jobs. Now it's just loud music and techs randomly screaming unprofessional nonsense that is loud enough to hear inside the waiting area. I've worked as a tech in shops before, and I know that this sort of shop atmosphere eventually leads to sloppy work and mistakes. It also makes the business look bad because all this is in plain view of the customers. I don't want techs working on my vehicle while they are distracted. It's unsafe. I used to tell everyone I talked to about tires that I don't go anywhere besides Discount Tire and that they should go there too, but if this store keeps heading in the direction it's going, I'm gonna start looking for a more professional shop. Discount Tire used to have the mom-and-pop shop feel with competitive pricing and great, personalized service, but now they just feel like another chain store. I don't know if it was a management change or what happened. It's sad to see yet another business lose its touch.

These guys are the BEST! They fixed my two tire leaks from rims I got at a different Discount Tire and they dod it for free. I won't shop anywhere else, and you shouldn't either.

I've been going to Discount tire for the past 14 years, and I'll keep going as long as they maintain their policies and quality of service. Their tire warranty policy is fantastic, and they make every part of the process very easy without charging a premium for the convenience. There have been a few times when the situation wasn't ideal--the employee was new, the store was crazy busy, or my car was feeling particularly stubborn--but I've been impressed with how they've handled those sorts of challenges. Worse case scenario, I might have to wait a little longer. They won't send me away with stripped lugs or an unresolved problem.

Amazing service, staff are so nice and polite. They're upfront about everything as well, all 4 new tires and we were in and out in 1hr.

Amazing customer service! Floyd got me in and out and went way beyond my expectations. He didn’t just fix my tire for FREE, he upgraded the valve stem and rebalanced the tire. I’ll be back for tires and service!

These guys rock -- we had a flat on our camper traveling from NC to SW FLA. In and out in less than an hour and super courteous / helpful. Not surprised to see that they already had great reviews -- just wanted to ensure I also applauded their effords.

Great price and family like service! If you are needing tires this is the place. Being a woman going and getting tires can be intimidating. Not here! They treat you like family! They took the time to explain and answer all my questions. I will forever be a costumer!!!

I can’t speak highly enough of Discount Tire in Gainesville. They provide friendly, honest service and are completely customer focused. I want to give a special shout out to Alex. Alex offered to program my newly installed TPMS (self installed). I came by the store and within a few minutes he had my TPMS programmed and working. He did this at no charge! Completely free service. I will be using Discount Tire for all of my future tire needs. Thanks Alex!

My husband and I had tire trouble in a rental truck while away on business. The rental company had us towed to this location. We were fortunate to be brought here because the customer service was outstanding. Floyd took care of us and updated us frequently as he was communicating with the rental company. He wanted us back on the road quickly and safely. The whole crew was friendly and helpful. If I were a local, this would be my place for tires and service!

I had an appt. and arrived 30 minutes early. They got me right in and were quick about replacing 4 tires. Price was good, service was good, what more can you ask for?

Sam was very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind throughout the process! I called 5 other stores and Discount Tire was the lowest price! They had the tires I needed in stock, they were able to get the service done the same day, and the wait time was incredibly short. I highly recommend using Discount Tire!

I give Discount Tire 5 starts because. I had a nail in my tire. They are the only one tire shop that fixed my tires free. Did I say Free? yes free. They make you feel welcome, and they provide great customer service.

I will say Sam’s Club has Discount Tire beat purely on price. But Sam’s club’s customer service in the tire department is extremely lackluster and slow. It’s very difficult to get in and get a tire rotation. The customer service at discount tire has always been excellent for me at every location I’ve been to, but especially this Gainesville location. They’re also great on warranty coverage I’ve had to use in the past. I’ll only go to discount tire going forward.

Alberto was extremely friendly and helpful with an already busy docket. My Honda was showing a low pressure tires, during a trip from Orlando to Knoxville. He determined that the air pressure was low on all tires because if the cold weather. We were in and out and what could have been a half a day solution. Thank you Alberto! Awesome customer service. everyone was extremely helpful. Alberto (the assistant manager) was very informative and gave me the best price for my tires, he kept me updated throughout the process and informed me of the free alignment check which i did end up needing. i would definitely recommend stopping in if you need new tires!

I cannot stop telling people about this amazing place. Every time I have an issue with my tires, I come here and am beyond happy with their speed, service, and kindness. Best tire spot in town!

Seriously excellent service. Incredibly honest shop to work with. I ordered a set of tires and when i arrived they told me that one of the tires came with a big flaw so they automatically upgraded me to a better set of tires at no cost. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. They don’t charge you for bs, just wanna give you a good service and they certainly do. I’ll 100% come back here. Give em a try!

Floyd and Clint are the kindest I must have drove over a nail and got trick to toe me there and fumbled around past 6 pm and those guys fixed my tire!!! It was super nice of them. I have been a loyal discount tire customer since Albuquerque New Mexico 2000. I just like the honest service truthfully. I am a ditz otherwise I am grateful for them today thank you so much

Got me in quick without an appointment. Took care of me after the difficult time I had earlier in the morning from a different location not helping me with my tires. They were finished in 35 minutes and easy, kind service. Great customer service!! Thank you for getting me back on the road so quick!!

All in all this place is super professional and welcoming. Everyone is super sweet and very accommodating. Carter in specific was very attentive and super understanding of my situation. Recommended me an option that I ended up taking. Super respectful, and honest. As a women that came in alone to a predominantly male environment I never felt uncomfortable or taken advantage of. Carter explained everything to me and answered all my questions. But overall, I’d definitely recommend anyone to come here and get serviced.

If you’re having any problems with your tires, go here! My daughter had an issue with her car and was able to solve it in no time. She was in and out of the shop in the span of 2 hours and said they were super honest people. I’m glad they didn’t try to pull a “fast one” on her and treated her well. She highly recommended Jose and Floyd but the whole team is sure to get you right!

My daughter brought her Cadillac suv in due to a road hazard accident early this morning. After getting her off the side of the road and having her bring it bring it to the 34st discount tire location this morning, They inspected the vehicle and found that the wheel and tire was obviously destroyed. After being given options for new wheels (original wheels discontinued), the team expedited getting replacement wheels from another location, and had ALL wheels and the destroyed tire replaced same day (along with checking the alignment) Floyd, Alex, and the team stepped up to expedite this emergency repair. Truly EXCEPTIONAL customer service here. IMPRESSIVE Thank you so much!

This establishment is a lifesaver. After visiting seven different shops that no one had the wheel lock key for my tires, this was the place that helped me move forward with my life.. thank God everything lead to coming here. Key word: Wheel Lock Key. You just can’t buy it at most Auto Parts stores but they even gave me a complementary wheel key for my tires. Great service, great pricing and all of the above. Before, if I had a flat I would’ve been without options on the side of the road..

These guys are amazing! We blew a tire on our travel trailer on our way south on 75 for vacation. AAA took 3 hours to mount our spare & get us back on the road, but 2 more tires looked sketchy, so we needed tires, but needed to get to our campground ASAP (hooking up in the dark is miserable), and Discount Tires was supposed to close 10 minutes before we could get there... Kyle reassured us that the shop would be open & ready for us when we got there. It felt like we had our own pit crew. We pulled up to 6 crew with 4 jacks and 5 tires on deck. They jacked the whole camper up, got all the tires off, swapped them out, remounted them, checked the tire pressure on our truck "just to be sure", and had us on our way fast. It was impressive to see how well the crew communicated & worked together and around the equipment. High praise for every single employee there, they saved our vacation!

Fantastic place to go to and get your wheels hacked up. Went in yesterday to get a valve stem repaired and tire rotation. When I checked the pressure today I noticed scratches all around a few of the lug nut holes. Every wheel had damage, and the first 3 images are from the same wheel. My car is a 2007 in excellent condition, and they damaged my wheels more in one visit than in its entire life previously. Clearly they do not care about your vehicle and treat it without the slightest ounce of respect.
