this is my favorite mechanic in Gainesville. the staff is wonderful and polite, very knowledgeable and eager to help. They never try to upsell me on things I don't need, and they even adjusted my serpentine belt for free once. Thank y'all so much! EDITED to add Ethan was the employee I dealt with today and he was really nice, helping to make a stressful situation that much better

My car had a mishap while at Billy’s where somebody had cracked my window. Billy took care of the issue out of pocket. He towed it for me there and back, after replacing the glass. It’s looking good as new! It’s unfortunate when things like this happen but it’s nice to know people still care. I would recommend Billy’s, he’s a good guy and will make it rightThank you for solving this issue for me

Broke down on the side of I-75, north of ocala. Called for a tow and Robby came quickly and picked me up. Truck was fixed and is running well after their help! Excellent customer service!

They kept my car for an ENTIRE WEEK, just to change a single wheel cylinder for my rear brakes. Since getting it back, the brake pedal is soft & spongy, it seems the master brake cylinder needs to be re-bled as well as the entire brake system. They did a very poor job, charged waaaay too much money, and kept the car for an entire week to do a job that should've taken only a couple of hours? Total ripoff. UPDATE: They claimed they have no record of working on my car, and also claim I'm confused? That's your defence? I have receipts. From your shop. Stop lying. Be a man and face up to the truth.

Had an emergency car battery issue and had to sit and wait at the shop. Billy's team was great to work with and expedited what they could because I was waiting. Quick, honest service. Highly recommend.

These guys were great. They called me to double check before they possibly got into a much bigger repair. They did a great job and were super honest. When the check engine light came on a few days after repair, they fit me in same day to do a diagnostic check (check engine light had nothing to do with their work). I recommend them highly

The Driver Nick did a very good job! He was able to answer all questions also. He is a very good worker very nice. Billys is a good place to take your vehicle to get fixed.

Big shoutout to Nick for helping me when I was having trouble with my car battery. He was so kind and attentive, especially since this was the first time I've experienced any issues with my car since I've had it. We have been using Billy’s for over 10 years. He is honest and runs a good business. I would never, and I repeat never, bring my car anywhere else. One time I had it towed up from Ocala, because I’d never use anyone else.

We travelled through Gainesville when our car broke down. With a 3 years old and a 6 months old in the back was not fun. We asked them to get our car fixed as quickly as possible and they did. Ethan the mechanic was super cool and he did a great job! Overall we made it home for Thanksgiving.

I’m so grateful for having found Billy’s Auto Repair & Towing in a moment of despair. I called them because our daughter’s vehicle died in a very dangerous and narrow road and it was blocking part of it. As soon as I called them without hesitation they told me they were going to take care of me ASAP. Before I knew it the tow truck showed up and in a matter of like 2 minutes he was already hauling the vehicle to the shop. Right away Ethan started communicating with me via phone keeping me posted and continued doing so throughout the entire service, which took about 48 hours total. In record time they had my daughter’s vehicle completely fixed and running. Billy’s Auto Repair & Towing literally took care of everything. I love the concept of the towing company also being the mechanic shop to get your vehicle back up and running. A very special thank you to Ethan for being such a gentleman and thoughtful throughout the entire service. Many blessing upon the entire Team! I 100% recommend them to anyone in need of auto repairs and/or towing services.

This place is the most honest shop in town. Also the nicest they drove me back home one time to help me out. They also always get the job done correctly and quickly without any fuss. Great place to go to.

I had my car towed to Billy's when it died nearby. They diagnosed the problem, finding it was covered under warranty. I was really impressed as they were extremely professional and friendly and honest. They will have my future business.

I’ve been out of the US since May 2025, and I will say this: I miss good customer service—like the kind I received from Billy’s Auto Repairs just a week before my trip. I watched your team carefully tow my car and had a friendly interaction with my husband. When people provide an excellent service in your absence, you can trust them with your family’s needs. I missed Cassie after she left, but I am grateful for Billy and his team. Nick at Bill's towing service was the best at the wreck I had on us 441. He was very helpful as he helped everyone there providing extra duck tape and being fast with getting the damaged car out of the scene. Nick was very polite and provided comfort in handling my car. My tire blew out in front of Walmart automotive 4 minutes after they closed on the Friday night of a 3 day weekend. One of their workers suggested I call Billy’s. I am SO glad I did. The tow truck arrived before he said he would! The driver (Bobby) was kind, polite, and put me totally at ease. Billy’s replaced all 4 tires, and repaired my driver seat, tail light, and brakes for an incredibly reasonable price. Ethan stayed in communication with me and was totally transparent about everything throughout the whole process. My car drives better than it has in some time. I am so pleased to have found them! I’m a new fan and will be a loyal customer.

Robbie was awesome! He managed to back my jet ski into a spot while still connected to my dead Tesla. And then shoe horned my car into charging spot. The rates were very reasonable.

If you're reading reviews, you've found the right mechanic ! Radiator fan failure left me stranded in a town I haven't lived in since the 80s. Billy's towed in my car (flatbed), diagnosed and did the repairs at a better than fair price. Much respect for these folks. Honest, fair, responsive. Big help for this tired old soul. Thank you.

So I just bought this conversion van in southern Florida. And I'm gonna drive it back to Appleton WI. Van was running like a champ and then. Boom. It shut off. I called Billy's auto repair. They came over with there brand new roll back. Loaded up me and the van. Took us to their shop. The driver had called ahead so there were 2 mechanics waiting to get rite on my van. Within an hour they had me back on the road again. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. Thank you guys. .
