A joke of a company with zero accountability of its employees. I was given one price to get my car by 311, was told a different price by the towing company and was able to reconfirm the original price with the person I spoke with at the towing lot. Then when I went to pick up my car, was told no, they don’t know who I spoke with even though it was only 20 minutes later and refused to give me my vehicle until I paid the price they wanted. Great, get that it’s not “your fault” the car was towed, which I never disputed, but it’s a joke that when an employee give you one price there is no assistance to come to a resolution and determine who said what, just no this is the price you need to pay. No idea who you’re talking about.
This place……. My car was towed here AGAIN unfortunately because of my own mishaps. Cool. My things were stolen in my vehicle. I understand break ins, right? But no my vehicle was left with the doors unlocked and Kai inside the vehicle . NEGLIGENCE MUCH? Anyway I call and ask what the price would be and ask to speak to a manager . The response was “ speaking to the manager won’t change anything”. I kindly said yes I understand that, I want to speak with them about a different issue about my belongings being stolen out of the vehicle previously . She then continues to say “ honestly speaking with them won’t ……” I immediately cut her off and say week that’s fine. I will just take my issue to smal claims court. She then says something along the line of “ so many people have gone to court and nothing happens “, I then say, “ Well as a DC contractor negligence doesn’t apply to that does it ? You left my key in the car, door unlocked. I can see if you had my vehicle securely stored and someone broke in.” She then hung up in my face. I’m completely in shock and upset that this is who MPD is trusting and contracting with to help do their work. THEIVES!!!!!!!! The fact that so many other people have gone to small claims court or threatens to do so says a lot . I believe this is the same last I interacted with picking up my car the first time . She literally tried to get me to send her some side extra money for “giving me a discount”. I really tried to be reasonable with these people but they’re really playing in peoples faces . But yall got the RIGHT ONE . I promise :). See you in court
There was a "security person" monitering an area that we paid $60 to park in...in 2 hour increments. An "officer" writing tickets then this tow company waiting around the corner to come tow you. Total entrapment. We paid to park, had proof of payment and yet were still towed. Once they took our car we had no choice but to pay $240 to get our car back. Everyone we spoke to from "security, officer & tow" said oh yeah just dispute it with your proof and you the ticket will be dismissed yet we wont get our $240 back for tow since "they did their job"
Yet we shouldve never beem towed in the 1st place!!!!!! Absolute SCAM
They stole my car then damaged it and took the engine out! Do not trust this towing company, they are running a scam! Their name is ABC towing not District towing

My company was in a pinch, trying to set up a $500 an hour crane at an apartment complex where cars were not supposed to be parked. The property owner was no help in respolving the issue. I called District Towing on a Fri morning during rush hour. They arrived in 45 minutes and cleared the needed crane area in less than 20 minutes. At a very affordable rate. Would definitely use them again!
20/10 stars. Long story short. Honesty is lackluster in 2024. District towing helped me make it home without even being on scene.

I called for a jump start, promised eta of 30 minutes. They didn’t show up for 2 hours with excuses. At that time I had it jumped by another business. They tried to still charge me $100. Bunch of clowns! I didn’t pay. Declined their service.
Absolutely horrible. They never showed up when my car broke down in an emergency. Called and they give me a different number and then got mad when I called them back. Terrible customer service. For a company that claims to be 24 hours they are not. DO NOT USE THESE CLOWNS it may be tempting if you search and see them pop up as the first result. Don't do it.
Great experience! I am not the most savvy when it comes to cars, and Crystal was very nice and patient with me on the phone. Fahed came out and tried to troubleshoot the underlying battery issue rather than jumping immediately to towing it. Ultimately, he did have to tow it, but he was very kind and professional about everything. Will definitely call District Towing again if I ever need to!
Hamzah(?) gave us excellent service. He called to let us know he was coming from Virginia and gave us an ETA, which was on point. He is very professional and I would def recommend asking for him when calling dispatch. And price is very reasonable especially in this time with inflation. Thank you!
Called at 3:55 am and the driver was there before 4:30 and the whole experience was easy. Very important when it's 3:30 in the morning and 25° outside. The driver was nice and very professional. I would use this tow company again.
Reliable and fast service locally in DC. This was my second experience with district towing - Mike was very friendly and made a recommendation to help get our tires fixed quickly and cheap.

instead of having to tow 25+ miles to a shop, he offered to plug my tire and fixed it fast. Great guy very friendly deserves a bonus or a raise if possible.
I give District Towing 5 stars!! My car battery died so I panicked . I called 4 companies before District Towing . the only company that I was blessed to get an answer from right away . Mohamed was my tow truck person . not only did he safely get my car towed to my home but he was kind and knowledgeable about my car issue . an A+ in my book. Thank You Thank You Thank You.
Finding a decent towing company seems to be a challenge in the DMV. I called SIX of them before getting a hold of District towing. They were very professional, charged a decent rate, picked up my wrecked car &delivered it to the body shop with no issues, and emailed me a receipt. Great service.
This towing company has the worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced. After they told me the had a driver dispatched, I asked for an ETA and the woman got upset that I asked and said... “I told you that he was on his way.” I just accepted and tried to keep in mind that all people are different and maybe she just had a bad day. After two hours of waiting, I called back and said what’s the ETA - she said, oh - I didn’t know he had another car to pick up. So again, I asked for an ETA. She said the exact same thing... he’s on his way. I asked from where? What time did he leave? How far is he - so that I can schedule my work day accordingly. And she said if you don’t like my answer - that “you’re free to go somewhere else and hire somebody that can answer your questions.” I was so shocked and appalled that I just hung up. After all most 2.5 hours dealing with them - I had to start the process over with a new company. Please Beware.
Called them at 1 am after hitting a deer. The gentleman we talked to was responsive, professional, and very kind. The truck arrived sooner than expected which we appreciated since it was a very cold night. Highly reccomend their services.
Worst customer service! I would recommend anyone but this company. The woman on the phone was extremely impatient, condescending and rude. The company couldn’t even get a hold of the tow truck driver during the 2+ hours we were waiting. We were quoted a wait time of 30-40 minutes. Do not waste your time with this company, unless you want abhorrent service! Would give 0 stars if I could. We ended up having to cancel this towing and get another company to come out.
Great service! I had a car accident, and after calling, Ty (Tyrone) came to the rescue after I was waiting over 2 -3 hours for another towing company to come that never did. He was kind, pleasant and made a stressful day a bit more pleasant. Thank you!!
I called over 24 hours in advance to schedule an appointment to tow my car to the shop at 7:30 am. I called them at 7:15 and they said they would be there at 10. They then told me they could make it to me at 9. So I waited for an hour in the cold with my dead car so they could show up an hour later than they told me they would (2 and a half after the appointment time). The driver was friendly and great once he got there. But you should avoid this company at all costs if you are someone who values your time and doesn't have 4 hours to kill for a tow. I certainly didn't.
I had the best experience with these folks. The dispatcher, Crystal, is a true gem. After several failed attempts with other tow trucks I spoke to Crystal. She knew I was upset and tried to problem solve with me. She sent a tow truck and he was just as great as her. I forgot to catch his name. Needless to say they got my car to the dealer in a very short amount of time. I am so happy that there are still good people in this world. District Towing is excellent in my book!!!! Please use them.
Super nice guys. Call them first before calling AAA, they will tow your car then enter your info later. No hassles what so ever. Plus their brother company District Garage also really great. I have dealt with them at least 4 times and they have always been very accommodating to my needs.
It brings me great disappointment to leave this review. My car was towed on Saturday afternoon and was expecting to get my car back on Saturday knowing that it was a 24 hour business but I was promised my car at 9:00 am Monday. When I called on Monday at 9:00 am to confirm they pushed it back to 11:00 am. I have called several times to confirm if I can come at 11 and no one is picking up the phone. I am just confused to how this 24 hour business is run. I seldom write reviews but I am very disappointed with the service.
Excellent service. I needed a full sized SUV towed from the District to Alexandria, VA. I did a Google search for "towing" and i called 4 different companies to get quotes on towing not only was district towing cheaper but it had a 5 star rating. They had no one available for immediate towing so they told me 45-60 minutes eta. They also told be that they only take cash, normally this would be a red flag as we are in 2015 and everyone should take plastic or some form of ePayment but they did have 5 stars on Google Maps reviews so I figured since no one else complained I should be good to go. Mike showed up in under an hour and called 3 times to tell me his updated eta. He arrived and was very professional. Explained what he needed from me, what he was going to do and reiterated how much the services would cost. I gave him the address but since I was driving to the location to be opted to follow me. We arrived quickly and safely. I paid him and gave him a tip. He asked if I needed a receipt or not. Normally I'd say no (because is have a record of it electronically) but since I paid in cash I figured better safe than sorry and said yes. I have had a great experience with District Towing and I would definitely recommend their services to anyone in the DMV.
If you're in DC and need a tow, I recommend District Towing. They were easy to work with, and kept me updated with estimated times of arrival. I had difficult pickup and drop-off locations in Georgetown and Chinatown with a non-traditional vehicle (motor scooter). Mike, the truck driver/operator arrived on time, and was friendly, courteous, efficient, and professional. He made the experience easy and showed excellent care for my vehicle. No one likes having to get towed, but if you do, Mike and District Towing are a great option.
Great experience!!! After calling around to 7 different towing companies and getting no where, I finally struck gold. This company is great to deal with. Their dispatcher Bernie was very friendly, accommodating, and a pleasant to talk to. The company is owned by 2 brothers since 2003. Beebo, one of the owners was quick to respond to my request for a tow. I have an 05 Ford Excursion, its a full size SUV. Its more like a Ford F250 and the size wasn't an issue at all. I live on a military base and Beebo was patient, quick and professional through out it all. I usually never comment or make the time to comment on anything on the web, but felt that this experience with District Towing more than deserved a good review. I would absolutely recommend them, and will use them for any future towing needs I may have.
I locked my keys inside my car right outside of my parking spot. I called the first number that came up on google for a tow truck. They answered, told me the price & the tow truck driver was unlocking my car within 10 minutes. Very reasonable prices and great staff. Will highly recommend and hopefully not have to use again. But, if I do I will most definitely call them!!!
