Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. Both on the phone and in person. Besides the 1 older nice lady who works at the register the rest of them need to take some classes on respecting the customer. I run a mobile mechanic business and the last 10 jobs I have done I have gotten the wrong part and had to waste my time, the customers time, and my gas driving back and forth to the store and then back to the location of the service. Even when I call over the phone to see if they can lookup a part for me to see if they have it in stock they give me a big attitude like I ruined their day by doing their job. If you don’t like working in customer service then find a new job.

Everytime I go to the Vernon store I get treated like a king from entrance to when I leave,I've never had that problem with store employees just constantly asking if you need this or that and ECT,I get that let me know if you need anything the way it should always be,then once you get to check out you get that 'ket me see if there's any discounts for you..the best

UPDATE: Attn: O'Reilly's - I gave you all a chance to handle this via your site already (instead of here in public). While "Misty" tried to be helpful via email, I got no response from the store or regional manager after 3 weeks of asking and waiting. I have 5 cars, and use a 5 gallon gas can for my waste oil so I don’t have to run to recycling all the time. Have for 20 years. I only use it for waste oil. Usually I have no problem bringing it in for recycling, until recently when Blaine (a kid) insisted that he can’t take it because it’s in a gas can. “But it’s not. It’s a plastic jug that only ever had waste oil in it” “Doesn’t matter” he said. “I’ve literally brought this in here probably 10x over the years and it’s never been an issue” “Then you must have gotten someone that didn’t know what they were doing”. Oh that’s a certainty. *Someone* sure doesn’t have a clue! I’ll just go to Advanced. They have better oil change deals anyway.

I went into the store on two separate occasions on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend for a battery issue. The two young men who assisted me were extremely helpful in trying to resolve the issue. It's great to see such great customer service, and even on a holiday.

I noticed my check engine light was on when I arrived at work this morning. My son recommended that I stop by an auto parts store on my way home to have the fault codes read before I made decisions of what to do with my car. I stopped at this location after work with my five year old granddaughter in tow. The service guy was helpful explaining the information on my printout and shared his recommendations about taking my car to a repair location.

Stopped by after AAA recommended I get my replacement battery installed there. Had already stopped at 2 other places and was told it couldn’t be installed, but Dianne at O’Reilly was incredible! Not only did she assess my vehicle and agree to replace the battery, she also gifted hot wheels to my 2 boys who were with me so they could play during the install. Her friendliness and kindness was quite literally unmatched with the morning we had already had. I’m so thankful and will absolutely return with any auto needs in the future.

Went in to buy RR LR parking brake cable they only had one side in stock other one would be here tomorrow morning. Cool. Show up in the evening to pick it up they couldn’t find it had to order another one. They took my receipt with printed totals and gave me a “this is not a receipt” receipt. W/e. Show up the 2nd afternoon as he told me part would be in the afternoon. Part had showed up all is well except he told me he wasn’t sure if the right one was ordered. Had to go back into the car to grab the old box (26) for him to be sure. He then asked me to pay for the ordered part when i already had except there was no proof on the receipt they had traded out. We waited on his coworker who was helping someone out. She came over and showed that I had not paid for it with turning the screen around so I could see the proof. I told them again I didn’t have the receipt because they took it from me and gave me a different one. Had to stand by the window to get cell service to dig up my bank statements with a total purchase amount. By the time the app loaded and I showed them she had done the math total of both and it checked out that I had paid for it huzzah she then turned the screen around again to show proof that I did pay the total! ????? Such a confusing process did not need to be that complicated

The store in Vernon has always been very helpful, would recommend. I had an issue with a rebate and the corporate folks took care of it right away.

The cashier came outside to help me buy the appropriate glue to fix my back window from falling out of my 2002 Ford escape hatchback. Granted it wasn’t the correct way to fix it but the JB Welding glue that he helped me pick out,worked perfectly, so thank you for taking the time to look at my truck n then spending the time to read n pick out the appropriate glue adhesive that withstands 3000 psi. Its still holding solidly to this day .

This evening I realized that I HAD to change my windshield wipers, I could hardly see. I pulled into O’Reilly’s at 8:56. I thought it closed at 10:00 until I saw the sign on the front door. I ran in and asked the two young men if I had time to get them. Chris and Aaron were so helpful and showed me the ones I purchased. I told them I was going to look up on how to put then on by watching YouTube. . By now it was 9:04, and before I knew it, they were outside putting them on for me. It wasn’t the easiest job, and I felt so bad keeping them past their shift. What wonderful customer service. I will definitely go back and I hope O’Reillys knows what great employees they have in Chris and Aaron.

I went in looking for a quart of transmission fluid and a starter electrical test, which they advertise on the window. This was 2 hours before closing. Neither employee knew how to do the test. They told me they did not have my transmission fluid. I went online and found they did, in that store right in front me, for my exact vehicle. No more O'Reillys for this DYI mechanic.

Was working on my car this weekend bought new shocks and everything for them them. I realized that one of the tools I needed I didn’t have. I saw online that O’Reillys sold it but decided to call and see if they had the tool to rent since they offer free loaner tools. After calling and speaking to a worker he told me that the tool I needed was in stock and in order to rent a tool from them they could not put it on hold but instead to come in first thing when they opened to make sure I got it. The next morning I got there when they opened spoke to the same representative who told me to come in. He told me that the tool was in the aisle with tools, which seemed weird since it was supposed to be a rental. As I brought it upfront to the counter and asked how it worked he said that the tool wasn’t for rent and that I had to buy it to use it. After explaining how I called ahead and asked for that specific tool. Why wouldn’t they just tell me that the tool I needed wasn’t for rent?The manager of the store did nothing to accommodate us even though we bought shock absorbers as well as had another order placed with them. And even said that the person on the phone must have messed up but instead of doing something to accommodate and fix the mess up on their end decided to get rude. Not the first time I’ve had troubles at this location but will probably be the last. The Advanced Auto Parts not even 1 minute drive down the street has better prices as well as a team that helps customers without making it seem like it’s a burden to them.

Sales associate (Tyler) was super friendly and helpful. Needed to replace the wiper blades on my car. Had some issues finding a blade that connected, but Tyler stuck with me trying different blades to find the right one.

I went to O’Reilly auto parts a few nights ago to get a new windshield wiper. I mistakenly purchased the wrong one, and went back inside for assistance. The gentleman Tyler was understanding and very helpful. He had no problem processing a return, helping me find the correct windshield wiper blade, and then installing it for me because I’m not that good at doing it. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend going there for all car needs.

The only thing I can say is that when I broke down in my truck, Sébastien (talcottville rd store) stopped at nothing and didn't hesitate to help me with changing my alternater and main fuse in my 98 dodge Durango and stuck with it until I was guaranteed to be back on the road, my great appreciation and gratitude goes out to that store and employee's

My local(er) store Manager, Lance, is truly a fellow auto parts pro . . . friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. In closing, Lance keeps his sparkling-clean store as spotless as my dear friend, Alex Miladinovich's, "Hot For Teacher" NHRA Nitro Funny Car. Nuff cedd.

I feel compelled to share my story about the extraordinary service I received from Nikko at O'Reilly's (of Vernon, CT) today. After being given an outrageously expensive quote to replace a headlight bulb at a local garage, I sought to cut costs by going to O'Reilly's. Nikko was beyond helpful in finding the bulb, and exceeded expectations by not only replacing one, but both headlight bulbs for me. He was patient and took time out of his day to help me. I will spread the word to others and definitely return to this store next time!!

Corey and Rob are very helpful everytime. When I need to get a parts for my work trucks there are on the ball. If they don't stock the part I need they always find way to get it to me. They know I can't be off the road in my line of work. Keep up the good work and great service guy's 👍👍👍👍👍
