My CX30 would not start unless given a boost. Determined battery was not holding a charge though it was recently replaced. Mazda service then replaced battery under warranty. All is well now. Thanks!

Helpful and polite service writers. JC was great! Work was performed as stated and you get an excellent video from the tech showing the work that was done, plus inspecting the car and letting you know how much brake pad is left, tire wear, suspension, etc. I find this very helpful. Kudos to the tech that took care of my car! Plus I was updated regularly on the status of my car. Would definitely go back.

Jc, spent a lot of time walking me through options. My car is 10 yo and it has a recurrent issue. First time fixed under a technical service letter / bulletin ( not a recall, sorry if i did not use the proper term). He advised me what to do to lower the repair cost, meaning whom to call at Mazda to request support for the issue. You know he could have just said , this is way out of warranty, and it costs this much. But no, he told me how to address the issue and see if Mazda will help put since they fixed this issue once before. Always polite and he took time to be sure i understand this situation, so i can get best decision. I will take the car back to them because they are honest and do a really good job.

Mike is the best! This was my first time using the service department at Mazda. Mike scheduled my appointment and checked me in on day of service. One item came up as requiring additional work. Mike gave me honest feedback and followed up with me in a timely manner. I will return because of my experience with Mike.

So I took my car in because one of the speakers on the left has a distorted buzzing noise at certain frequencies, and the control knob was acting up, selecting things on its own. I’ve never liked taking my car here, as I was told the last time I brought it in that I needed new control arms…I work from home, my car has 50,000 miles on it since 2018 when I originally bought it, knew that was bull. Took it to a different local spot I trust instead, and they confirmed, bullshit. This dealership wanted to charge me $1200 for a part I didn’t even need. My local spot did repairs for $300. So my mechanic said to bring the car here cause they could potentially update the system and at least fix the issue with the control knob. They said that my car would still be under warranty, and that’d they’d help me out for a reasonable price…I was reluctant to agree. So, I get there, relayed the information, waited, got told pretty much what I already knew about the car in the first place, and these dudes had the nerve to say that repairing the infotainment kit would be $800 plus an additional $150 for just bringing it in. I looked up the price of the thing on Mazda’s own website, and it was $220. In terms of the speakers, they said they tested it, sent me a video of them messing with the treble and bass, saying that they sound fine. As I’m driving off, an organ sound plays through the stereo and the buzzing is clear as day. So I got nothing out of this visit, but $150 out of my wallet.

As several recent reviewers have noted, this dealership appears to be engaging in questionable pricing practices under its new management. I was initially quoted $230 for a routine oil change. When I asked the service advisor to itemize and explain how that price was calculated, the quote was suddenly reduced to $129 within seconds. The justification given was the “cost of oil,” yet the final invoice listed the oil cost at only $28, which raises obvious concerns about the original pricing. This experience strongly suggests that customers who do not question the quote may be significantly overcharged. It gives the impression that the dealership assumes customers lack basic automotive knowledge. Adding to the unprofessionalism, the service advisor stated—apparently with pride—that the price would be even higher on my next visit. Needless to say, there will not be one. Given the growing number of similar negative reviews and the apparent lack of response from management, I cannot recommend this dealership. If you do choose to come here, I strongly advise confirming and itemizing the price multiple times before authorizing any service

We used to bring our Mazdas here for all maintenance but now under new ownership, I don’t think we will be back. The oil change prices went from $130 ish to $230 and they say it’s the cost of oil. They also no longer wash your car but will give you a voucher for a car wash down the street, but that’s more time sitting and waiting. The customer service room is in bad shape. There are rips in the carpets and black streaks all over the walls. The final straw was when I noticed they added on almost $30 of extra charges for fuel treatment and topping off my wiper fluid. Neither was requested by me or mentioned by the sales rep. Even with the online discount, $197 for an oil change and inspection offers little value compared to all other options for vehicle maintenance.

The Mazda T.O. Service Dept has been courteous and accommodating to me every time I've needed service on my vehicle. Their realtime video update while servicing is a nice feature and allows me to feel attended to and informed during the servicing process. There have been times I've needed to drop in without an appointment for urgent issues and they have always made my needs a priority on those occasions. Overall I've been very satisfied with my interactions with them.

I come to this dealership bypassing many Mazda “stealerships” along the way for their honesty and customer service! I was taken care of my Joe, but found out recently he retired. Then to my surprise I was treated by Mike and he was just as nice!! Thank you for your honest work and taking care of your customers!!

I purchased a CX-5 with Alex, who was very patient and knowledgeable. Car salespeople can sometimes be off-putting, but Alex made the whole process feel un-rushed and low stress. I first came in for a test drive on the weekend and then came back again during the week before committing to my purchase, and Alex was equally helpful both times. After the purchase, he also took plenty of time helping me connect my phone to the car and showing me interior features that would be useful. I’m looking forward to enjoying my CX-5, and I can definitely say I was very happy with my shopping and buying experience at Mazda Thousand Oaks, thanks to Alex!

I recently purchased a used Mazda and was helped by Alex, who made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I had the chance to look at plenty of cars before finding the perfect one, and Alex made sure everything was stress-free along the way. When I left the lot, the car was freshly detailed and even came with some great bonus features like CarPlay.
