Roy's Towing JunkYard in Thousand Oaks (CA)

Was helped by Kevin this morning - he was kind, empathetic and very helpful while he rescued my GMC truck and towed it to my local repair shop. Appreciated his support this morning.

Fantastic service provided by Roy’s Towing. Driving an unreliable car is never fun, however it is reassuring to know help is just 1 phone call away. I’ve used Roy’s Towing services for the past 9 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Very friendly phone representatives and knowledgeable drivers who know what they are doing. Just last week I woke up to a dead battery and a Roy’s Towing driver (I think his name was Victor?) arrived promptly and got me back on the road just in time for work. Thank you Mr. Roy for always providing a helping hand!!!

I had the same experience as Amy. $499 for 1 mile. The rates are 3x higher than what they have posted in their office. If I could give zero stars I would. Not sure how any of this is even legal. Would love to sue this company if any lawyers are reading this.

When I used my AAA card. They out sourced to Roy's Towing. My car "Bessie" is my baby. She is a 99 Toyota Corolla and is the 1st car I ever bought/owned. Driving on the FWY today there was debrie that flew under her this morning. I saw she was leaking oil and had her towed to my mechanic Tello from T.O. to Vta. Junior was the technician helping me out. He could see how concerned I was. He listened, was helpful, & very professional. He even called my car by her name. He told me he would take care of Bessie & put my mind at ease. I would recommend Roy's Towing Company to anyone needing a helpful hand. They were great! Job well done guys! Thank you! Bessie is doing fine She just needed a new oil pan & will be back on the road tomorrow.

Roger and Edison came to my house to help me with my dead electric car they went far and beyond to unlock the desde car and make the towed back into my driveway to plugged in the home charger, spent at least 45 minutes working, employees with this work ethic and integrity should always be considered ❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻

Don't use this company! I called for a tow on a work truck. The truck needed to be towed across the street from one dealership to another. We ended up not needing the tow at all. They charged my card $364! And they did nothing! $364 is a lot of money for nothing. It's a lot of money to tow a truck across the street, but to do absolutely nothing and charge this amount his ridiculous! I understand having to charge an hour, because the driver was dispatched but charging $364 s not right at all. These guys are crooked.

i got into a car crash. And was helped out by a man named Juan r. Rosas . He helped me tow my car after a crash even with complications and was still able to provide professional help. I am 100% thankfull for his service.

Getting out of jail and finding your car is never fun, but Roy's towing offerred pleasant customer service, efficiency and promptness. They had a clean restroom, and coffee station too. Security and locked gates at night to protect vehicles was a plus. The prices?... Well, the cost of a night in impound is expensive at any impound yard, but Roy's towing prices seemed comparable to other impound/towing services around town. Overall, they exhibited professionalism with a smile. Thanks, Roy's Towing for keeping my car safe!

Do not use ! They sold me a battery that was incorrect for my car… they would not give me a refund. I filed a complaint with AAA. Then why didn’t your office attendant tell me to work it out with AAA instead of saying no , we will not give you a refund … period ??????

My 8 year old boy and I had an amazing experience with Nino and Roy’s towing. The truck showed up 40 min earlier than estimated arrival time. We were updated with text messages as to drivers arrival. Our driver Nino was amazing!! He showed up with a HUGE smile and warm greeting. His calm and helpful nature was comforting and reassuring. My 8 year old boy had never seen a car towed before and Nino helped create an almost amusement park like experience from him. It was like a ride for him to sit in the big tow truck cabin after driving up the ramp. Nino was friendly and chatty and my son an I took a shine to him like we’ve known him for years! I would recommend this company to anyone in need. I wish Nino well, my son will always remember is 1st towing experience fondly. I have been towed many times over the years and this experience was by far the best as I got to share it with my son and Nino.

I've towed for many a company in my career, Roy's included. Roy and Doug treat their tow drivers well. I never ran a service truck, so I honestly can't vouch for them. I believe AAA the company gave spiffs for selling their batteries. In an area that costs $12 bucks an hour for a one bedroom roach apartment, you very well may run into some desperate workers. The beauty of capitalism. Thank the club for that instead of kicking Roy's. My suggestion? Thank the driver for coming out and tear a ten dollar bill in half, giving the driver half a tip before you start. Interesting factoid. Once a day, by average, a tower is killed out working on the highways for the public. That's over 6,200 souls since 9/11/2001. Twice the rate of our trigger-happy policemen. This should be a government job, like a fireman, cop, or public works. Flashing lights? Move over a lane, you might save a life.

BEWARE!!!!!! I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Roy’s Towing. Not only was their pricing outrageously high, but they also caused damage to my vehicle during the towing process. Firstly, their pricing was exorbitant compared to other towing services in the area. It felt like they were taking advantage of the situation, leaving me with no other choice but to pay the inflated fees. To make matters worse, upon receiving my vehicle at the destination, I noticed visible damage that hadn't been there before. The towing company's representatives were dismissive and unapologetic when I brought it to their attention. They refused to take responsibility for the damage and even implied that it must have been pre-existing. This experience has left me frustrated and dissatisfied with the level of service provided. I expected professionalism and integrity, but instead, I encountered high pricing and careless handling of my vehicle. I strongly advise others to think twice before using their services. I will be contacting my attorney.

We called them 2 days ago through AAA. They came with a wrong truck to pick up our car, did not secure the car properly before pulling and car fell down off the tow truck while towing. My husband was in a car and now Roys company says that we are lying and that never happend. It did happen. Very shady people work there. They pretty much told us to go to f... ourselves and deal with AAA. I will add a photo of a guy working there,yelling at me with no mask.

Unfortunately I didn’t get the name of the technician who helped me but he did an amazing job and was very friendly. Arrived in less than 20 minutes and was able to unlock my car after I left my keys inside. Would recommend!

Their battery service was quick, easy, and the technician was great!

One of your technicians came to our house to check on car battery and told me his reader said he did not need to replace the battery we ran the car for 40 minutes what the technician told us to do and then we went to my uncles house in Agoura Hills to water his front and backyard and we turned the car off and tried to turn it on again and would not start. We called another company and they replace the battery.

I can't not even begin to share how very wonderful Roy's Towing is. They have gotten us out of many pinches of cars being broken down, dead batteries or whatever. Very very nice crew and very much put my mind and my family's mind at ease with their assistance.

I have not used this service but I almost got run over by one of their guys in a service van in the Starbucks parking lot. The guy ripped out in reverse as I walked past him narrowly missing me and had the nerve to give me an attitude. Imagine if he had run me over what kind of injury he would have caused me and the liability to the company. It was clearly marked "Roy's Towing", when I called the gentleman I spoke to even asked if the guy was in a small van type vehicle and assured me he would have a talk with him.

Couple weeks ago I was in a need for a Towing truck, I call Roy's after few calls they send me Kivin he was very nice, helpful and fast with an awesome attitude he bright ou my day. He definitely needs a raise for his high performance . Thank you Mr. Kevin for you're help Highly recommended.

Sam was my driver from Thousand Oaks to Santa Barbara on 8-18-23,he was nice,respectfu and courteous, he made the trip pleasant,and I am very grateful to him,thank you Roy's towing,your driver Mr. Sam was the best!!!! Highly Recommend!!!

They came with a battery truck when we clearly requested a tow truck. The guy refused to help us get a tow truck, when we were rightfully upset at their incompetence after waiting for hours. They had one job and couldn't get it done.

Bunch of thieves towing vehicles off from streets this weekend in Malibu where no clear signs of “No Parking” exist!! What a shame of government decision affecting its own residents. Towing companies ( Roy’s Towing ) and officials are getting a ton of money for this, wonder who is benefiting from this. This clearly does not solve the parking problem but enriches the ones in power. Shame on you City Hall @Malibucityhall and LA Police and of course Roy Towing for being a part of this scheme. $559 is a hefty fee, wonder who gets a cut from this!!’ Shameful business practice
