Great farm market with a bakery. Jams, fruits, veggies, pastries and pies, oh my. A bit rural but well worth the trip with a friendly helpful staff.

Its relatively clean, what you would expect from an orchard or u-pick place out in the sticks---and I would have easily given this place 5 stars BUT the staff was not the best. It was super hard to check out, bunch of teenage kids standing behind the counter chatting indifferent to whether I was standing there or not, I was confused as to where to go. Apparently I was supposed to have been given a map---which I did not, and my daughter and I had to wander through fields and fields of empty or diseased trees. Some of the apple varieties had symptoms of San Jose scale, a common pest, or apple scab, a fungal disease. I mean, we made the best of it, it just took a while to figure out where to go. The bathroom situation wasn't great, two stalls for a giant line of women--- then the toilet clogged and it was down to one! Aside from the map thing, the checkout love confusion, and the bathroom thing we had a pretty nice time. I would probably go again, but just ask for a map and try not to drink too much water! Lol

My friends and I went to the Apple Festival today, we arrived around 0930 and there were some people milling around. First thing we did, which I was really excited for, was get hot apple cider and the hot apple cobbler with ice cream. However, both the cider and the cobbler were cold. The woman helping me asked her counterpart if she should heat it up to which the young lady said no. I assumed that the cobbler would be warm enough as the “festival” had just started. It was cold, the flavor was good though. The bakery section was bare, there was no music and only 3-4 vendors outside. I’d call the whole thing false advertising. It may be nice for apple picking but definitely not a festival and not a very good time. We drove 2 hours to get here. Big disappointment. Do not recommend.

This market is the spot! I loved their endless pick of pumpkins available from classic orange to the specialty colored and field trip small size ones. They also have an extensive selection of bakery goods, fudge, honey, jams, fruits and vegetables. Outside they have a corn maze, seating area to relax around the property, and playground. The staff was friendly and I could not recommend this place enough!

First time coming hear for apple picking with the family, and we loved it. Apples were great , and the kids loved the play ground and tractor ride. The market is full of goodies. We will be back again soon.

We love coming to this orchard. The kids love the playground and the ice cream is great. Make sure to follow their Facebook page to keep up to date especially the week that you're trying to go.

I take the family here at least twice a year for picking fruit, pumpkins, and corn for the past 10 years. Great manicured orchards, high quality fruit if you come at the right times, with enough space for 1000s of people when this place is (rightfully) mobbed. Decently hilly, so prepare for a lot of walking later in the season and bring a cart. They have some available, but get a wagon with thicker wheels. Backpacks aren't allowed out in the picking area, so just take the essentials in the wagon. There is a lot for the kids to do depending on the season. Tractor rides, cart rides, mazes, pumpkin patches, and the playground. The market is awesome. Definitely get an apple cider slushie and some apple cider donuts, especially when they're warm. The apple butter, jalapeño mustard, French onion dip, and artisan peanut butter are must-buys if you like any of it. The produce, canned staples, and dairy are all high quality, and anything with cider is a hit. Prices are extremely fair, you can get a bottle of wine, jars of anything you want, ice cream for 5 and fudge and honey sticks for under $100. The ice cream and fudge is also really good. Get the kids worn out in the orchard, run them through the playground, then chill out with the ice cream. Great for killing 2-3 hours in the middle of the day. Parking is limited out front on the asphalt unless you get there super early, but the grass parking isn't too bad even with low ground clearance cars, but maybe leave your Lamborghini at home and take the Acura or Ford. It gets nasty out there if it has rained, and some intellectually challenged individuals will park three in a row and box you in. The staff is super friendly, prices are fair, $20 for a large bag which can fit several dozen monster apples. The drive there is also beautiful, tons of huge houses and vast farmland coming up through Winchester via 81. There is a reason I come here and keeping coming back over the years, it has that special x-factor that is hard to put into words.

I really liked the farm and the fresh produce. This was my first time visiting with a friend, and while the place itself was nice, my experience with the staff left me very disappointed. When we entered the store, the two young cashiers looked at us in a way that made us feel unwelcome. Later, I noticed them exchanging looks, making fun of us, and dismissing our questions. It seemed to be because of our accents or the fact that we looked different as immigrants. I live in Northern Virginia and drove over an hour to visit this farm, so it was disheartening to feel belittled rather than welcomed. Where I live, I rarely experience this kind of treatment, which made the visit even more disappointing. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously, because no customer should be made to feel this way.

In August, the fresh farm fruit and vegetables were plentiful! We attended the Peach Festival. We loved the peach cobbler made at their bakery with Amish- made ice cream from Pennsylvania. There was an assortment of canned goodies, homemade breads, cider donuts, and little gift items. Out back, during the festival, they offered BBQ pulled pork. We sat on porch rockers and enjoyed our delicious treats while taking in the beautiful view. The employees were very courteous and helpful. They have a wonderful playground for the little ones. There was plenty of parking and it was very accessible. It's definitely worth the scenic drive to Marker-Miller Orchards.

Marker-Miller Orchards is a wonderful place for fresh fruit, bins of farm fresh vegetables, Virginia ham, apple cider donuts, and homemade pies. It's set on the edge of an enormous apple orchard along Cedar Creek Grade with lots of space for children to explore and families to have picnics.

Really fun experience - it was my first time apple picking! I had a blast and even went back the following weekend to enjoy the outdoors and weather. It was just a beautiful environment and the prices are reasonable! Food is expensive, but you are allowed to bring your own. Can't wait to go back next year earlier in the season to see the trees at full peak!! ????

We were there for a Fall time apple picking experience, and got just THAT! Our family enjoyed the orchards and after, the playground, some cider (sooo good) and the cider donuts. One of the BEST fresh ciders I've ever had! Definitely worth the stop!

I was surprised to see how big this orchard was! I was also pleasantly surprised to see how many apples there still were for picking this late in the season (plenty of York). Lots of apples available low to the ground so little kids could pick them themselves. They had a playground for the kids, which my son loved, and their store had lots of jam options + picked apples/veggies. The apple cider donuts were SO good! They had BBQ available on site for real food options but I didn't get a chance to try it. It's a very convenient drive from Winchester. I'll definitely be back again next year!

We’ve been to several orchards & this one was the best by far. Other places we have been charge just to get in and then charge again for the apples. This orchard had very fair pricing, really cute area for kids to play, SO many apples, beautiful location, friendly/helpful staff and delicious apples. We picked so many apples and have eaten SO many apples already. Highly recommend this orchard!!!

Great orchard where you can pick your own fruit of buy it already picked, plus a wide selection of fresh vegatables and local preserves, relishes, and syrups. Kids playground and an on premises BBQ, hot dog, hamburger stand for lunch.

One of my favorite orchards in VA! We didn't even PYO this visit and we had a great time. The little played on all their playground equipment and we bought peaches, a slushie, steak sauce and doughnuts!

What a lovely experience this was for our family. We will come back in the spring. Great playground, beautiful orchard. Pick your own apples and many different kinds. Yummy fudge and so many homemade bakery goods and bread and other goodies.

Anytime I go up towards Winchester Virginia I always make a stop at Marker-Miller Orchards. During the apple season I will get a box of seconds which are some apples that aren't that pretty but we're great for applesauce or apple butter or baking $10 for a huge box is a great deal. They also have fresh baked pies cakes cider donuts cookies scones really good and if you there I highly recommend you pick up a jar of their spiced peaches they are delicious. I also like the fact that they do have a playground where the kids can go and play and get out some of that pent-up energy they have. Or perhaps you might want to go pick your own apples you can get grab a wagon get a bucket and pick your own apples and enjoy cuz it's a lot of fun.

I visited the trails at the Market today and had a great time. They have a short loop and a longer loop around the orchard. I got to see all sorts of different trees which was great. I saw the cows and some goats. I did the short loop which was enough for my little guy. But I'm sure the long loop is great as well. There was nobody else around so it was perfect for social distancing. We did spend a while with the cows. Great views!!! I hope they'll do this again next year!

Ample space to roam, play, picnic, and enjoy the views! Apples were delicious (picked Fuji and Golden Delicious) and their apple cider/cider donuts in the market store were amazing. I couldn't resist taking home some apple turnovers and apple-strawberry wine. Overall, it was a perfect fall day spent at Marker-Miller Orchards!

My favourite place to pick apples! Just arriving at Marker Miller Orchard brings my stress level down. I always enjoy this beautiful well maintained farm with the added bonus of a well stocked produce market indoors. Make sure to check on their picking schedule to see what's available before you go and be prepared for a few more rules in Covid times.

We go here every year for the fall festival. I told my husband I think I travel over 2 hours just for the smell of the fresh apple cider donuts! So much to do for the kids and every year it seems there are more and more children enjoying the outdoors and picking their own apples. Just a great family day out.

Good family fun. Go for Apple picking, stop by the market for pies, cider, fresh vegetables, and ice cream. Blue Ridge BBQ has a stand next the a large picnic pavilion. They serve hamburgers, hotdogs, BBQ sandwiches, chicken, and ribs (among other things). Prices range from $3-11. You can also bring your own picnic and eat at the pavilion if you prefer. There is a large playground area with several sections that allow kids of all ages to enjoy themselves. The Apple orchard is well maintained and you can purchase apples by the basket in the market or you can purchase a bag and pick them yourself. This is an easy day trip from the DC area.

My family loves this orchard for Apple picking!!! This was the first year we went on a Friday (we've always gone on Saturdays) and we're pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. October is our favorite month to go because there are so many apples in season. We picked at least 6 different kinds of apples. The playground is also a great place for kids to get out their energy before the long drive home. We still have not tried the cider donuts, but they smell exquisite!

Nice place. Free parking, free admission. You can go walk around, let the kids play on a big playground, sit at a picnic table and enjoy the view, all for free. The apples were good enough, and the apple-related products were above average. 2018 doesn't seem to have been a good cider year, store bought was better. Not sure it is worth the drive out from DC, but I'll go back here again.

Big selection of fresh pick your own produce throughout the year. Peaches and berries and such in Summer, enormous variety of apples and gourds in fall. Inside the store, killer apple donuts, pies, preserves and other goodies. Large kids play area with well maintained equipment and a free ride around the farm on the little cow convoy. Always a fun day and an opportunity to pick some delicious fruit for good prices.

I loved everything about this place from the surrounding views to the farm itself! The orchards were gorgeous, the playground for the kids is adorable and big time kid approved. I got the apple cider (possibly best I've ever had and that's saying allot), apple cider donut holes which were scrumptious, and went bananas over the fact they make an elderberry jam which I brought home with me. I look forward to going again next time I'm in town!
