Please don't get any work done here. got what were supposed to be new tires with warranty, within the first week I started losing air on my tires, I took my car back multiple times so they could check them out and every time this older guy in the front desk told me that they were super busy and unable to check them for me, so I finally took it to another shop and to my surprise these tires had been fixed before from nail damage and they weren't new. so please be careful when buying your tires especially from this place.

Took my car in for tpms light on and they found it just needed tire pressure adjustment and reset system. Charged me zero and said it was good. Not many places on earth would do that. Honest and was polite and highly recommended.

After mister tire was absolutly so rude to me and my sister they told us look if you dont wanna wait 6 hours TO FIX A FLAT TIRE you can go to goodyear let me tell you what goodyear treated us so good yall and they didnt charge me a price that makes me cringe. Yall ditch any other place yall go to these people are so nice and genuanly they were busy but they got us in and out so fast while having quality work ya know

They were a blessing to me! No one else would help me! I called them and they said to come on in. I'm on oxygen so l can't stay out very long. When l got there they took care of me and l didn't have to wait long! God Bless them!

Tightened my oil filter with a huge impact or glued it on. Tried to get another oil change and no matter the effort the filter will not come off. Full stop on trying after multiple broken impact bits. Avoid at all costs.

I was on my way out of town and got a flat tire. I stopped by to see if they could fix my tire and the staff were very friendly and very fast. Unfortunately they weren't able to fix the tire but they put my spare on and didn't charge me a dime! Their customer service was exceptional. 10/10 would recommend!

Had a time to come and wait to get Tires Rotated and Balanced 1hr 30min later still haven't moved vehicle out of parking spot. I was the only person in store waiting they had sold several big jobs on cars that was in the shop already but could not get a waiting customer in. Poor service and not a service person advised me they were backed up.

i had to pull over here last minute because my car was breaking down, there was smoke coming out of my ac and there was a persistent knocking sound. they then told me that the smoke coming out of my ac was condensation. after they took 5 days to discover the knocking sound was "just the throttle body" and $370 later, the knocking is still persisting in the ac and the mom and pop shop down the road from me got back to me within the day to tell me that it was the device to change the air setting that was broken. that just tells me your techs didn't care enough to take a deeper look and they willingly sent me off with a still broken car. do not bring your car here because the techs will do the bare minimum with their inspections and repairs

This was my first visit to this location and I was very disappointed to observe the man at the desk helping customers being less than respectful to a woman with her baby. She had an appointment (before mine) and had been waiting when I arrived. She was told her car would be looked at some point today. Clearly that was not a good option for her to wait all day with an infant. The man could have offered to reschedule her, or at least apologized or offer empathy. Sadly this was not the case. I waited in line about 10 minutes no one apologized for the wait or asked what I was even there for. Carmax has stopped doing a lot of routine maintenance in house and is referring the work out to other affiliated shops. They recommended this particular location in Salem- which is the only reason I had made a appt to get an oil change. Needless to say I will be going elsewhere and notifying Carmax of my experience. While I cannot speak to their workmanship; customer service goes a long way and basic manners tend to create customers for life.

Very expensive without clearity about what is the real issue. Did further damage to my honda odyssey. I visited to do the wheel balancing and alignment after that I have to visit them twice for steering noise. I don't know what they did with my honda odyssey. At my 2nd visit they checked the steeing line and said that the steering oil is low. At 3rd visit they charged me $95 for diagnostics. Charged me $109 for break oil flush in addition to complete oil change charges.

I had been trying for weeks and nobody else would do my State Inspection. Even though these guys were really busy, they inspected my car within the first 5 minutes of me arriving. They are also super nice and honest people who are willing to work with you as a person instead of just another customer.

I traveled to Salem ~250 miles to be with my daughter when she gave birth to my youngest grandson. My tire lost pressure(indicating a leak) and I took it the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where Mr. Joe Sowers is the store manager. As a woman and a grandma away from home it was scary taking my vehicle to have service away from my regular mechanic. Mr. Sowers immediately set my mind at rest as he serviced my tire. His coworkers were very respectful and worked diligently to repair the tire as well as the spare(which we had tried to use when the leak on the original tire wasn’t easily found). I commend your business and the managers and workers that you have working for you! Thanks to all of them for a good experience! I highly recommend this business to the Salem residents and the surrounding community!

Joe and his team are seriously the best! They helped us out in a real bind. We were traveling on I-81 and started to have some brake issues. Stopped in Salem and they took us in close to closing and looked at it when they definitely didn’t have to. Joe even dropped us at a nearby hotel to wait until they could get the parts and get the problem fixed the next morning. They really seem to care about their customers! If I ever need service near Salem again I know where to go!

My daughter brought her car in for an alternator. They then stated it was the starter and a timing belt. Then! They put the belt on incorrectly and it continues to be wrong. My daughter’s car has been in the garage for at least 2 weeks and that’s ridiculous especially considering they apparently don’t know what is wrong. I’ve been a customer for almost a decade and I’m completely underwhelmed. Actually, quite angry.

If I could give Goodyear a +1000 that’s what they would get. I was in need of tires, after calling 2 places I called Goodyear. They were able to get me in right away. Being a women most people will try and take advantage of you but not at this Goodyear (Salem, Va) Joe was very helpful, courteous, and thoughtful, we also found out that he helped me before some years back. I truly do recommend stopping in to get your car serviced on. It’s definitely not what it used to be. Thank you Goodyear for hiring Joe!

I had a horrible experience down the road at National Tire and Battery and came to Goodyear to have my tire checked as the light had come on and I was headed out of town. A nice young man came out in the rain and checked each tire for me and added air. He discussed options with me and recommended I continue on my trip and check it later. Great experience! Don’t go to NTB, use the Goodyear store if you are in Salem.

Terrible experience. I was told it would take 2-3 hours for a state inspection. I waited patiently for three hours and then requested my vehicle as I had an another appointment. Staff did not facilitate giving me my vehicle, did not care that they had kept me for nearly four hours, waiting, and worse. I politely asked them, x 4, to release my vehicle, which was "finished". Horrible customer service. No one at the counter and when I looked through the service window to the bay area, Ron, the inspector, instructed this burly mechanic to get in my face and tell me to move away from the window (bouncer style). He was not a wearing a mask, was clearly trying to intimidate me. I would not recommend this "place of business" to anyone, especially women. I was finally given my keys, after being there for nearly four hours and was very late for my medical appointment.

We had them install 4 new Goodyear Assurance tires on my wife car. So far so good, not sure how long these tires are going to hold up. We tried to do the contact free method but they didn't know what we were talking about. I'm guessing they didn't have enough help.

We were driving home from Christmas and had two blow outs on our tires. Luckily we had great service from Bobby and Troy as they worked to get a replacement wheel short order and Christopher who replaced both tires quickly and efficiently. If you have to have a break down the Goodyear in Salem, VA is the place to get it fixed. They are quick, friendly, and hard working.

Troy and Bobby were amazing! They went above and beyond when we had damage to a new tire. We usually got tires from Sam's club it other places but we will definitely be getting all our tires in the future from here. The fantastic customer service and support makes it well with it to make the drive from Floyd.

I had a flat tire that was irreparable and ended up needing to have my car towed to the Salem GoodYear. I arrived with my car at 5:15. The business closed at 6. It was recommended that I get 4 new tires as my tires were 7 yrs old. Christian was very kind to stay late to put on my tires. I've been buying tires for years from Good Year and always have been very pleased with my tires and the service I received. I'm grateful for the fantastic customer service that I received last night!

Stopped here while traveling after getting a nail in my tire. They were fantastic. Randy was very helpful and friendly. Mark was finished quickly and both had me ready to get back on the road in about 30 minutes. Thanks!!

I went in for a state inspection, was told I needed an oil change as well, in addition I was told two of my filters needed changing. I wasn't told how much it would cost, but agreed based on what I was shown. I was thinking all in all it'd be about $70-80. I got to the register and was charged $128! The labor was more than the oil change and inspection combined. I was a little astounded, especially because I could have changed the filters myself minus the cost of the filters. I had a bad experience here over 10 years ago and thought I would give them a second try, what a horrible mistake on my part. I got roped into spending an extra $80 for something as simple as changing out air filters. Avoid this place, unless you go in to have something specific done, and nothing else, this place will rake you over the coals with a smile. Yikes!

Ron (service writer) and Josh (technician) worked really well with me. Ron made sure my Escape got the alignment it was due, and Josh went above and beyond with the alignment and inspection.

Loved my overall experience with them ! Everyone was wonderful Randy and chad were both very awesome in handling my vehicle needs. As well as the installers they work fast, had my car aligned, tires put on, check and inspected in under 2 hours. The only downfall was the scheduling online part is not as accurate and I would like for it to be. Not sure if that’s something they can control or if corporate handles the website... either way, they called me immediately letting me know that did not work for their schedule, changed it to fit both of our schedules, the first time I went it was a nightmare did not have the wheel lock that takes the bolts off (drive a VW) so I couldn’t get it done, dealership never gave me one (bought it used) called back a week later when my part came in and they got me on the schedule the same day I called, might of been my luck but they work hard to ensure their customers are happy, you can’t satisfy everyone but this customer sure will be coming back!!!! Thank you all so much!

I just had an incredible experience at this store. They were busy and I had to wait a little while, but they took good care of me and my car. They have a new manager, Donnie, and he is awesome! Starting off the day with a tire issue is never a pleasant way to begin a day, but Donnie was friendly, accommodating, and honest. Spending part of my morning at Goodyear was not in my plans, but Donnie did what he could to make it as pleasant as possible.

Reviews are simply opinions and here is mine. I have been bringing vehicles to this shop for the last 15 years. I began coming here as it was convenient to the office I work in. Over the years due to moving this location became less convenient for me. I now travel approx. 40 miles to have this Goodyear location service my company car as well as my personal cars. I have always been treated fairly by the staff there. If something more was needed while I was in they were very helpful in suggesting solutions for me without being aggressive or demanding. These people do a great job and I will continue to bring my business here.
