My battery that I had for only a year was not starting. It caused me to jump start with my portable charger. I was told by NTB they no longer carried Interstate batteries and could not honor the warranty. They suggested going to Vavoline Oil Change on Williamson where interstate batteries are sold. They were not willing to cover my warranty by taking from their inventory. (Which I found later they could have had the issued battery replaced at no cost to them). Finally I ended up at Interstate Battery Distributors in Salem and was listened to, accommodated and given a loaner battery while they serviced mine. Josh explained the warranty coverage and the process of recharging batteries. After a couple days Josh had my basically brand new battery installed quickly and sent me on my way. I swear, my classic car is peppier than ever and starts in freezing weather without hesitation. I thank Josh for being patient with me while sharing my dilemma and providing service with a smile and kind heart.

Very friendly, wayyy cheaper than even Autozone or Advance Auto or Oreily for an even better battery! Cheaper than interstate battery's own website! Despite being busy in the rain when everyone showed up (of course) I was in and out in ten minutes and that included a free battery and alternator test AND installion of new battery! :) Will be back for all my battery needs! I Have been using Interstate battery in Salem for 20 plus year. Today 4/6/2024 around 9 am I arrived . Asked the man if he could check my battery. He said "pull it up to the door " (RUDE) I pull the car to the door and he checks the battery. Said " Running a little low. Do you want to replace it?"
I said yes please. The he said' We will not install in this car."(2015 ford escape) I replied you all put this battery in last time. He Replied " It wasn't me"
After driving from Bedford for the customer service I have always be used to. I am highly disappointed.
Stoped at a local parts store to have battery checked again. Said it was fine.
I am so confused and disappointed.
I don't know if I need a battery or not.
I gave a 5 star review bc not only do I absolutely love their mission statement but also Greg was very polite and helpful. I will def be getting any batteries in the future from them. God bless them.

Honest and kind. Went because I thought I needed a new battery but after checking it and finding out one was not needed, Gregory was kind enough to be honest with me and let me know I wasn’t ready for a battery but the connection was loose. I will be going back when it’s time to get a battery.
Huge shout out to the guys at interstate. They stepped in to help me when my battery died, talked me through the purchase, the install and were very pleasant! Quoted me at nearly $100 less than the dealership and didn’t charge me for the same battery test that the dealership insisted they had to charge me for either. I will always recommend interstate and they will be my go to from now on.
Prices were slightly higher for a battery. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately, they now charge $10 extra to install a battery that you just bought and charge 3% extra to use a cc. They will loan you tools if you want to change out the battery yourself. Won't buy from them again.
This place is great! They can handle replacing any watch battery that I have owned. Wonderful service, great attitude and competent service. Nice guys!
This place has some really nice and interesting gadgets. My husband was able to get a refurbished battery for his car for a third of the price and a new battery for the key fob. And the guy that helped us was super nice! I will definitely be back for anything I need.
So I bought an interstate battery from a dealer in Salem Va about 5 or six months ago. The battery started not holding a charge so I took the battery back. The guy at the desk said you bought it in April 2022. I advised him that wasn’t possible I bought my boat at the end of 2022 and bought the battery months after I bought the boat. I asked if it’s possible you guys forgot to change the sticker that said D22. He advised it possible but no way to prove it. I couldn’t find my receipt so he wouldn’t change the battery. I’m retired law enforcement not that it means anything but I wouldn’t lie about a 100 battery. Customer service was very bad made me feel like he thought I was lying. Would not do business with this outfit again. It’s a shame that a man’s word means nothing when it was their mistake for changing the sticker on the battery.
Great place to get batteries. They're open Mon-Sat, they have different many different batteries for all things electric. Real nice and helpful employees as well.

Interstate Battery helped me out in a quick, friendly and professional manner. I had a car battery die that was still under a 2 year warranty. My mechanic who installed it last year wouldn't help and gave me the run around. I reached out to Sam at Interstate and he helped me out immediately. I was able to return the dead battery and receive a new one. Excellent customer service, highly recommend.
I have brought three interstate batteries over the years of my car hobby. They have always been great, even after sitting for a month or two two. Highly recommend interstate batteries over any other brands... And I have had more than my share of batteries.
I've done business here quite a few times over the years, and have never been disappointed. I moved out of state for about 8 years and was very glad to see they are still open. Keep doin what y'all do.

These guys don’t play around! I made a call to them to ask a few questions.. they were so helpful! When I pulled in, the gentleman on the phone told another guy what I needed and (NO KIDDING) he was outside within 30 seconds installing the battery.. not to mention it was 30 degrees with the wind blowing! Awesome service... definitely will be back! Didn’t even take him 5 minutes to remove the old one and put in the new one!
