These guys were so easy to work with. I explained my situation (temperature gauge not working and my cooling fans running continuous) and that I had to leave that evening for a state wrestling tournament 5 hours away. They got me in right away, diagnosed my problem and fixed all within an hour!!

The owner of this automotive shop was great my car broke down and was walking to a parts store to get a jumper box for the battery when I saw these three men standing out side of this garage I was panicked because I live two hours away this nice man jumped started my battery to find out it was the alternator and resumed to give me a ride to purchase a new altinator. While I was waiting on my boyfriend to pick me up. Let me remind you it was after hours and the shop was closed and he still helped me, most would turn you away because their tired or it's been a long day so that's what I expected and would have understood if he had done so. But they did not and I thank you so very much for that. This place is family oriented and wonderful from my experience. Highly recommended. thanks 11-12-25

Fantastic service! I walked in because my check engine light came on and car started shaking. Owner was the only one working but he looked at my car right away and found 1 coil that was bad and he had me back on the road within 30 mins! Also, he noticed that the previous shop didn’t secure my brake pads properly and he took care of it at no cost!!

I am beyond satisfied with the service I received and will be recommending to everyone! I had a nightmare come true when my car unexpectedly overheated and stopped running with my 3 young kids and groceries in the car. I had to have my car towed and initially had it sent to another shop who wasn’t capable of fixing the damage. I called around and got no answer or return calls from multiple shops until I landed on Rollins where I could tell right away I felt comfortable towing it just from the phone conversation. It turns out my car had a bad water pump which caused enough damage with the overheating to need a whole new engine. I was stressed when I heard this, expecting a giant price tag that I wasn’t prepared for, but Michael was able to offer multiple options and keep it as affordable as possible for me. I brought in my 2017 Ram 3500 due to a loss of power and turbo-related issues.
Mr. Rollins thoroughly troubleshot all the related components and gave me a call to share his findings. He asked to keep the truck for a couple more days to ensure the fix was effective. Sure enough, after the computer reset and had some time to run, the issue reappeared. Mr. Rollins was able to isolate the root cause and replaced only the specific faulty part—rather than the entire component assembly—saving time and unnecessary expense.
It’s now been six months, and my truck drives like new again. I highly recommend Mr. Rollins. I have complete confidence in his ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix automotive problems accurately and efficiently.
Can’t say enough about Michael the owner of Rollings Garage in Salem Va.! My Jeep was making a ticking noise (lifter or?) and growing up around cars I knew it wasn’t good. Called the garage and he answered and spoke with me over 20 minutes about my Jeep and I knew then that he was the one I wanted to fix it! Can’t say enough about his knowledge and customer service! Excellent work and very well priced! Will definitely be going back.
Had work done very recently and had a great experience! He seemed very knowledgeable as far as what the problems were and the car runs great now. I contacted Rollins auto early on a Monday morning to see if they could look over a SUV I was interested in purchasing. The owner asked me to drop it off and would fit it in same day while clearly explaining the cost upfront. He saw several major issues and notified me what he thought and agreed to do even more diagnosis for the same price the following day. He determined that the SUV was likely going to need a new transmission and saved me from a huge headache all with a smile. Rollins will get all my auto work going forward.
We are on a cross country road trip and we noticed that our van started making a clunking sound when turning when we stopped off the highway before Roanoke. It was late so we decided to stay the night and find a mechanic in the AM to help us fix the issue. After reading lots of reviews and calling multiple shops- we came across Rollins and talked to Michael- he was very gracious and told us to come on in! Upon arrival, he quickly helped diagnose the cause of the sound and took the time to fix it for us on the spot! He had to get creative with a solution for our issue- but it got us safely back on the road right away! Highly recommend this extremely kind, courteous and affordable shop!
My girlfriend was on a long 8.5 hour drive from South Carolina back home to Pennsylvania when her check engine light started blinking. Awesome experience. I was traveling from WV to NC on a holiday weekend Monday and our 2020 Honda Pilot developed a loud rattle/grinding sound. Michael Rollins got us in immediately, and diagnosed and fixed the problem in about 20 min. Extremely professional, courteous, and clearly an expert. I would take my vehicle to Michael any time.
I have a 2023 Mercedes Benz sprinter van. And had no one to work on this van with computer experience. Need to find someone who can help me out and do the job with equipment. I was driving by and saw Rollins Automotive and it is new and opened. I had stopped in and immediately meet with Mike the technician. Ask him if he would be able to help on this new van getting messages with the DEF fluid and has a specific amount of time to start. He said he could do it now. I said go to it. He had up to date equipment and started . Within about 30 to 45 minutes later. He had it all done. I was so amazed with his work, experience, professional in the way he communicated with you. I told him that I found a new garage to have work done, along with my other 2 vehicles that will be going to him also. Very impressed.
