I went into the store to do a warranty exchange on a broken part. I was prepared with the part and my online order already pulled up on advance site. The lady was very rude and told me she couldn't exchange it I had to go to the store where I originally purchased it. I tried telling her it was originally an online order and showed her this. She just kept saying how advance had lost so much money in returns and she couldn't do it. Another employee came out and tried to assist her on how to do it but the phone started ringing and he had to help another customer. She finally called the other store where I originally picked up the part that had now failed. The manager there walked her through doing my exchange. She was very rude the whole time even cursing and telling me how much she hated online orders. I will not be returning to this store and honestly will avoid advance in general. Oreillys is always more than accommodating.

I already put in one good review but I think this store manager and this store deserves another one, again. After having an issue with the store and being quite frustrated, they resolved it quick and effectively and with a smile on their faces. I would not recommend this store enough and especially this store manager. He obviously has more customer experience than almost every manager I come across. Kudos.

I had an issue with some of the customer service that happened in the store, the store manager after calling him resolved it quickly. He was super kind and understanding. He took my issue seriously. We need more store managers who act like this, even when I was getting frustrated he kept a levelhead and steered media in the right direction. Give this man a raise

I've never had a negative experience here - everyone I've ever dealt with is kind and knowledgeable. Aaron, in particular, has been very helpful to me several times, most recently when I needed a new battery.

Yesterday I broke a serpentine belt while on the highway headed to New England. Luckily I was just two miles from this store and they had my belt in stock. I limped my truck and trailer into their lot and they had the belt on the counter, ready to go. I didn’t catch the associates name, but the guy with the glasses came out to make sure I was routing the belt correctly. He noticed that the tensioner pulley was seized up…no wonder I broke the belt! I didn’t have to wait too long for their neighboring store to deliver the new tensioner. Quick fix and a couple of pointers from that man, and I was on my merry way. Along my journey I was thinking, if that associate didn’t notice that my tensioner was bad, I may have burnt up another belt or two leaving me broke down in a worse location. I would of overlooked the tensioner so that guy saved my butt! I made it to New England thanks to him. The other workers were friendly and helpful as well

Arrived there and was greeted with a smile from both associates. Explained I needed my battery checked and one came with me to the van. Upon testing he concluded my battery needed replacing we went back in to see which new battery I wanted. In the mean time the other associate had started preparing for the removal and replacement of the battery. Upon completion of the transaction he had already removed the old battery and was retrieving the purchased replacement.We went out and he installed the new one and had me start it.Started perfectly and I was on my way! Didn't time this but it was as fast as could be done. Smooth and seamless! Thank-you Advance Auto. .

The associate (Cameron P) gave excellent service, start to finish. I told him what I needed, he picked up the heavy item and gave useful information. Without me asking, he took the battery to my car and set it in my trunk, since I walk with a cane. Very favorable experience.

Asked an employee to check my check engine light because I had multiple lights come up when the check engine light came on. First words out of his mouth, you can drive with a check engine to light on. Which I'm well aware of due to a Ford I have. Finally got him to read the code. This is a new car to me but used. so when 2 different lights come on with the check engine light, I know something is off with the vehicle. Luckily did research on the code instead of what the reader said. My car was low 3 quarts of oil, which I would have purchased at your store but wasn't given time to research the code. Might want to educate your employees better. I won't be back to this location. I may be a female but I work on my own vehicles.

I recently had an auto battery installed here. The installation process was fantastic. Carter did a great job and was very efficient despite the added steps to remove all the fancy battery and engine covers in these new vehicles. He was very friendly along the way. There is no need to go to a dealer when you can have this done at AAP in 5-10 minutes.

I came in looking for red full antifreeze and all they had was 50/50 and full for vehicles other than Oldsmobiles when my car only takes red without messing up and I have a antifreeze leak so i may get stranded looking for it now... Nowhere has what I'm looking for idk where to find it...

I have to say there is this guy there I forget his name but he knew right what was wrong with my car and help me to get it back and running right he was more informative then any other I have been to before thank you will be going there again just because of the good and friendly service

Greg Is a nice associate to deal with. 5 stars for putting up with me. Very knowledgeable. Although 4 stars for the rest of it. Some of the others not so much. I wonder what sewer they crawled out of. Lazy and unhelpful. That being said that's a lot of the workforce in this location these days. Think the staffing situation is scraping the bottom of the barrel hard for this city. Also the price was beyond outrageous. Over 2x retail MSRP on a part that didn't work and only made other issues I had to now deal with on the car.

Dead battery, had a bad experience at another provider so I came here. Carter hopped to my service, diagnosed and replaced in 13 minutes, back to my day. Couldn't be happier. Give this man a raise!

As a rewards member, the $5-$10 perks on purchases is nice. The stores around me seem to have high turnover rates so lack of experienced employees can be disheartening.

Horrible Customer Service. Autozone is your best bet. I’ll never shop at this location again. Rude and try to double charge your credit card or charge you for the same thing twice if you aren’t paying attention. Worse experience ever.

I was in here the other day to get a battery check and a code read on my vehicle and the "gentleman" that helped was rude from the second I walked in. Only had the battery checked, couldn't get the code read done because my port "didn't have power" but it worked fine for the next place I went... ok buddy.

Not to impressed with attitudes of the young man who was working the day I came in. No customers in store holding you up and you scream at me from across the store to see what I needed instead if getting your butt from behind the counter. Then when I walk up with what I want buy....nothing but a scan, give me the money and leave me alone attitude. Maybe you should tell your girlfriend to not visit you at work so you can do your job properly. There is way to much competition on Main St in Salem for you to have these kind of folks in your store.

The Salem Advance Auto store is my go-to for anything I need for my car. The staff is always helpful and they go above and beyond. My car has a weird quirk where the windows won’t work after installing a new battery, and the guy who helped me with my battery spent extra time finding a YouTube fix for my window! I’ve always had excellent service here!

Went to the register to check out. two employees in the store saw me standing at the register neither one came to check me out. Had to wait on the guy from putting a battery in a vehicle outside to come in and check me out.not happy that's why I go to Interstate batteries to buy my batteries not advance Auto.

Have personally work at this store. The guy who helped me this am wasn't a great help. Just wanted valve cover gaskets and after 30 min he said they were out of stock. So I asked if he could call 419 store. And he acted like he did now what I was talking about. So I finally said screw it and went to auto zone and got what I needed.

AutoZone is cheaper on most things but Advance Auto usually has better availability for parts. They no longer seem to want to do price match either. Returning parts under warranty can be a pretty big hassle sometimes also. AutoZone always is better on the latter two issues.
