Called in the morning to describe the issue I was having, and asked if there was any chance I could get our truck in to be looked at the same day (my wife had to drive 3 hours the next day and there was an awful noise coming from the drive train). The gentleman I spoke with took a look at the schedule, moved a few things around, and found a spot for us at 2:30.
A mechanic and the gentleman I spoke with discussed the noise I was hearing, pulled the truck into a bay and on a lift, diagnosed and fixed the issue (U-bolt rubbing the drive train), and had the truck pulled back around clean and repaired by 2:45.
Didn't try to nickle and dime or manufacture an issue to 'fix' for profit. Just took care of me like you'd hope a neighborhood shop would.
This is where we will be taking our vehicle going forward.
Great service and extremely fast. I brought a truck in after hours on a weekend before thanksgiving week after having some issues with my brakes. They found the issue and repaired it within two days for a reasonable and honest price. Very grateful and impressed!
Excellent service. My friend recommended Powhatan Auto Repair when my a/c went out in my car. Each person I spoke with was friendly and professional. My car was repaired the same day. The cost was below what I had expected. It's a forty-five minute drive for me but it is worth it to have a trustworthy shop work on my car.
Had an appointment and took my car in first thing 09/06/24 for an oil Change and State Inspection. Guy at the counter took my info and my phone number and say " We'll give you a call when it done." After doing some things throught the day, I realized I hadn't received a call about my car and the shop was about to close. Drove up to see my car setting in the parking lot with a new inspection sticker and a new oil Change sticker, but the shop was closed! No call was made and the kicker is, I'm out of a vehicle until the shop opens back up on Monday. I'm a sales rep and I travel for work. This has now inconvenienced me to not have a car but to also have to cancel work travel. This is completely unexceptable and will be the last time I intake my vehicle to this shop.
They communicated with me from the time I dropped my car off, to pick up. They were honest, and accurate with their estimate, as well provided a very good timeframe!?

We had an unexpected track bar break on our truck on our way through town. These guys were able to fix it in a very quick timeframe, and got us back on the road in a mere matter of hours! Highly recommend!!!!

Fantastic auto service and repair company! I took 2 of our families vehicles in for state inspections and they got them right in and taken care of the same day, including a few minor repairs. They are honest, fair and don’t attempt to sell you things that you don’t need.

Left vehicle there on a Saturday called shop the following Thursday, they told me that they would not repair vehicle due to rust on frame. Never called and never left a message. Waste of time.
We have always received prompt and reliable service with Powhatan Auto. Butch is always courteous when he speaks with us and is extremely informative when it comes to anything about our vehicles. We have a couple older vehicles and Butch always offers a less expensive route in case we don't want to put a ton of money in one of our older vehicles. We have serviced our vehicles with other providers and feel that the prices at Powhatan Auto are fair and reasonable. Awesome company to work with!
