My car fell in a ditch in May and called towing company to help me pull it out. Guy came over and struggled to get it out, refused to try to move my car as I had suggested it. He pulled my car in 3 different ways causing damage and pulling off the front bumper and damaging the front of the car.

Dispatched by my insurance company for a battery service. Arrived within the window provided by the insurance company. The team that arrived were professional, friendly and committed to get my car started. Made sure that my alternator was functional before departing. First rate service and will definitely keep their number in case I need help in the future.

I am giving you one star because apparently the only person working at your company on a Sunday is the gentleman who answered the phone. He was at least nice. I am not sure how many effective tow truck drivers are employed here, but none of them showed up after over 4 hours of waiting on 1-95 south in over 90 degree weather. Poor customer service.

Driving out of town. Insurance hooked us up with online South towing. Waited 90 mins for a tow truck and was told we would have to wait on the side of the road for someone else to come get us but they would still be happy to tow my car for me. And leave us stranded. Decided to keep my car on the side of the road and now back to square one with my insurance company BTW still sitting here. 2 hours later. Do not ever use this company. They will leave you stranded and try to take your car and money with them.

My wife's vehicle broke down so we contacted our insurance company to link us up with a local towing company. We received confirmation that Online South Towing & Recovery would be towing our vehicle. We called them to get an estimated time of arrival. The lady who answered the phone was extremely unprofessional, stating she didn't have a ticket for us and then just hung up. After reading these reviews I guess I actually owe her a "thank you." This doesn't sound like a business I would entrust my family's vehicle.

Carvana Roadside Assistance told me to use this company. It was scheduled at 11:30 am, and the driver did not show up. I called the company and a lady answered the phone and told me that they were going to come at 1:00 pm instead. 1:17 pm, the driver did not show up. I called Carvana Roadside assistance instead, they called the company. They said that the driver has been detained and he will be late for another hour. I went to Yelp and Google to see the reviews of Online South. OMG, 1.5 stars on Yelp and 3 stars on Google. I called Carvana Roadside to tell them to cancel the appointment and use my AAA instead. The AAA towing company showed up 30 mins! Carvana Roadside Assistance need to cancel the contract with the Online South Towing.

Do NOT use these people. They are HORRIBLE. Like literally PUSHING your CAR would be a BETTER OPTION. I would rather be stranded on 95 during summer rush hour in 100 degree heat than to deal with such shady and deceiving practices. I’m not surprised our complex got rid of these sharks. Like literally call me before you call them and I will get a rope and drag your car from wherever. No one should deal with this company. I would rather have wisdom teeth pulled awake with no novacane. I gave one star because I had to but trust me when I say it isn’t worth that.

Toyota Sent this company to tow my car, they were over 2 hours late and were very rude about it. No customer service at all, and they dont care about being late. It seems as they are taking to many jobs and cant handle it , sorry but they need to quote better time frames and actually care about their jobs and care about being on time when people are stranded without their car. Driver kept getting lost using his GPS but really I think they were just giving me the run around.

This company has the worst customer service! The ladies there are extremely rude! I call my insurance company for a tow. They sent this company out and they came to pick up my Chevy Camero and hitched it From the back to drag the car😳. The car is extremely low and the front was almost touching the ground. I asked for a flatbed and was told one would not be available until the next morning with attitude. They came to pick the car up and I received no call that it was done. I called and was advised that my Car was delivered to an unknown address, asked where the address came from and was told it was an address that I gave. I said is it a business or home. She said you should know you gave the address. So now I’m extremely frustrated from search for my car and being sent on a scavenger hunt for it.So I’m being hung up on after being told my car was dropped off with the keys in the ignition and she is not answering questions about this address! I callback another lady answers the phone, I ask her again where my car is and she yells that the lady before gave me the address 5 times and I am extremely upset and again frustrated because It’s not at the address and I don’t know where it is! She said well why did you give that address. I call the insurance company and they advise me to call the police. I call the insurance company because I now have to report it lost or stolen! The insurance agent calls and the lady tells her that the car is at Radley Chevy dealership!😳 I call them, they have it dropped in the parking lot, keys in the ignition and no knowledge on anything!! Horrible service! I am Livid at this point!!

I have to say that this was the greatest towing service I have ever encountered. The driver Carl Jones was on top of his game from his initial introduction call to the moment he departed with my vehicle. He was courteous and displayed a high level of professionalisms. He arrived at his estimated ETA time and was able to have my vehicle safely loaded on his truck in minutes. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants the job done right.

We had an unfortunate series of events that resulted in our family’s minivan being stuck at bottom of a steep ditch after sliding off of a narrow driveway. The driver from Online South arrived on time and with all the necessary equipment. The van was precariously set next to a substantially large tree and any wrong move would crash either the front end or the back end of the van into the trunk and cause significantly more damage than just some mud. The driver expertly used a series of pulleys, cables and chains to slowly pull the van back onto the driveway. It took almost an hour, but the driver took extra care not to rush and risk damage to the van. I can’t thank this gentleman enough for being so considerate of our van. THANK YOU!

Took my car to Jiffy Lube in Charlottesville, va. Engine light came on. No oil on stick. Had to call a tow truck. I have Usaa, they called Online south towing, fredericksburg, va. Guy took 2.5 hours to get to us. I was sitting on 29 south on the busy highway hoping I would not get hit. It was starting to be a while so I called back to online south dispatch, we were told, he ran out of gas.....He will be there in thirty min. He took longer than that. Took my vehicle to the wrong address and dropped it on a closed business property in the dark. We told the driver where the vehicle was going prior to him moving it. If it was a problem, he could had said something then. this is the wrong address we told him. Called my insurance company back and their dispatcher said he had dropped the vehicle already. The driver was still there with my vehicle and refused to take it to the correct address, directly across the street, with the insurance company on the phone saying they would correct it. He just dropped my vehicle there. I had to call another tow company and pay out of pocket to get it moved directly across the street. The insurance company called me back and said he could come back in about thirty min. I told her , he did not do his job the first time why would i wait another 2.5 hours for them again. Now I have damage to the front of my truck. It was a bad job all the way around. He had ear buds in and was just the worst. I expected better service from them, I hope usaa gets rid of them. Service was terrible.

Driver showed up an hour late. Did not apologize. Spoke less than a few sentences and drove away with our car. The whole time he had earphones on and was the least bit interested in letting us know what was going to happen with our car. As an authorized USAA towing company we hoped for better service and professionalism.

No wonder they have such a low rating, look at all the unfavorable ratings stating the same issues of incompetence, unprofessionalism, and lack of communication skills. Car Issue: No clutch pressure, to be towed to my service center I scheduled the pick up the day before; the car was to be picked up at 10:30 am the next morning with a 90 minute window. I told the front desk receptionist that the car has NO clutch pressure and the car should NOT be started. I also informed the young lady on the phone that the trunk was not aluminum but carbon fiber as a heads up, just in case for some unearthly reason pressure was placed on the trunk. Simple job right.....show up on time, with the proper tools and tow the vehicle 50 miles to my service center. ________________________________________ What happened: Arrives hours late to tow my vehicle, then show up with a wrecker instead of a roll back to tow an AWD car. I called inquiring when the tow truck would show up, I was told that they were in route that was at 11:49. They didn't show up until 2PM. The driver tells my wife "it wasn't in the system we needed a roll back" which is a lie. USAA has never.......ever sent a tow truck out for my All Wheel Drive cars without a roll back tow truck. The driver also states that he was instructed "not to touch the car"?? Really, so you showed up late with instructions to not touch the car?? The driver wanted to drag the vehicle out, which was unnecessary because the car was in neutral ready to be hooked up and wenched onto a roll back. My wife said no, and sent them packing on their way. When I called inquiring why they were hours late and lacking a roll back, the "owner" wanted to fast talk me like a used car salesman. Gave me the " don't tell me how to run my business", we were going to use dollies on the rear wheels to tow an all wheel drive car. You were going to put my cars rear suspension on dollies to make a 50+ mile trip to Richmond ?!!?!!?!!?!?!?!?!? Just because a company is on a "preferred" list does NOT make them a quality company to use. My wife called USAA and asked that they send me out a different company. I will be following up with USAA, myself and informing them of the lack luster company they dispatched me.

Online South was contracted by Ford roadside to tow our vehicle. We were given a 90 minute window. After 3 hours and multiple calls we were told they would be to us when they could. I asked for a timeline, and they wouldn't give me one. I let them know I was going to reach out to Ford and see if there was anything they could do. The guy got belligerent and said he was canceling my service call. I asked him not to. He said he didn't care, and was canceling it anyways. After speaking with Ford, they found a new tow company, Twins Towing. Twins was out within 45 minutes, and had no problems.

Another no-show from Online South Towing. I waited for THREE AND A HALF HOURS before USAA decided to send another company. Strange how it took Precision Towing only 35 minutes to get there and, when they left... still nothing from Online South. Why USAA has a contract with these slackers is beyond me.

going on 5 hours waiting for a tow truck on a major highway, no excuse. I called many times once their ETA passed and they kept pushing the ETA, then passed it and pushed it further and further off. I have never experienced such an incompetent company before. if I could give less stars I would. Call any other company before this place.

NEVER showed up. Waited 3 hours, lucky no kids in the car this time. On busy route in Fredericksburg not in a remote area no excuse. Called another company they showed up in minutes. Do yourself a favor, call a real tow company if you break down and need help. These people get 0 stars.

These people are INCREDIBLE!!! I am a 22 year old first time car owner, and I don’t know much about cars. So when my car wouldn’t start and is flashing warning signs that my transmission is faulty I am obviously a confused and stressed mess. They even showed up within 15 minutes so I wouldn’t be stranded where I was. I am SO grateful USAA works with them, and that they were so kind to me! Excellent customer service!!!

I was stuck on the highway and needed my car to be towed to a safe location. I waited past their estimated arrival time and then received a call from my auto insurance that they cancelled. I was in desperate need of assistance, but they just left me there stranded. I would pay extra to avoid utilizing their services and would advise others to be more cautious.

My son called for tow service (through Nationwide) last night at 9:30pm, got confirmation at 9:56pm that he should expect arrival within 60 minutes. After an hour of not showing he began calling to get an ETA ... 5 calls later (each saying 20 mins until arrival) the truck shows up at 1am. Thank goodness my son was not stranded on the side of the road, however, such a delay in time inconvenienced the occupants at the home he was at, as well as my husband and I waiting on his arrival home with the car. Wish I could give this company a ZERO star rating.

Original wait time was 90 minutes. Currently been waiting almost 3 hours. Called their office after 2 hours and was told their office was 17 min away from me (that's a lie-it's only 12 minutes away from my location) and that it would be another 30 minutes. Here it is an hour later and still no sign. I called my roadside assistance dispatch and an employee there called Online South's main number. She was also told it was gonna be another 30 minute wait. The thing is though-she could pull up the tow trucks GPS on her computer and she said it was only 3 minutes away from my location. I went ahead and requested a different tow service because clearly Online South is content to drown others in their own incompetence.

I have been waiting over 3 hours to have my car towed. The original wait time was 1 and 1/2 hours. After 2 hours I called the dispatcher and was informed the driver would be at my location in 12 minutes. 30 minutes later, still no tow truck, so I called the dispacher and was informed once again that the tow truck would arrive in 12 minutes. I told the dispatcher that I called 30 minutes before and was given that same answer. The driver stated "Well you didn't talk to me." I told her that was not an acceptable answer and she hung up on me. I called my insurance campany and explained the situation. My insurance company called the dispatcher and the dispatcher told the insurance agent that the tow truck would be at my location in 12 minutes (Im noticing a trend). It has been 30 minutes since that last call....and still no tow truck. The customer service at this company is terrible. It is bad enough being stranded, but to be stranded, given the run around, blown off and hung up on is on a whole other level. USAA needs to drop this company because they are bringing USAA's reputation way down.

Vacation. Rear ended. Crisis. Everyone has a different situation and view. The people that maintain and operate here are good people. They got me the hook up with a rental when noone else could. Very friendly, I had my son with me and they welcomed him. Got him ice cream while the receptionist's boy had some quality playtime with my son. I was at their facility for roughly an hour and a half, and on my way to my vacation thanks to the rental. I cant express how grateful I am for the resourcefulness I had experienced. As with all mechanics, no one are cheap, they are a business and this means they are allowed to be busy. I waited an hour for them to come pick up my car, during lunch hour near 95s on ramp @ 17. Sounds like they care.

My daughters were involved in an accident on the interstate and were taken to the hospital. When I contacted Online South about retrieving their suitcases and all things from the totaled car, Cory was very responsive. He answered every time I called while in route from 2 hours away. He went out of his way to open up the gate late in the day. He was able to get one of their bags that was trapped under crushed metal in the trunk. He was even able to get pieces of my daughter's car for mementos since it was her first car she was saying goodbye too. Cory is awesome!

We were stuck on the side of interstate 95 and had a flat tire on my horse trailer. They were quick to respond. And were very helpful. They even brought extra help to see how to change a tire on the horse trailer without taking the horses off. Thank you!

I live in an apartment complex, a friends truck was towed by this company, why my apartment complex has a deal with them I don't understand. The two happened around midnight, I called them as soon as we noticed it, just went to voicemail, called again, went to voicemail. I had to call 6 times before someone picked up. I told him the situation he told me what the price was for the tow, we weren't happy but we were going to pay it, and he said to be at their tow yard in 20 minutes. So its right around the corner but we rush over there so we don't waste anyones time. Their lot is at the end Houser Road with hardly any lights around the lot so it was very hard to find. So we wait, 30 minutes goes by so I call him back and he says someone will be there in 30-45 minutes, I tell him "you said 20 minutes 30 minutes ago." He responds with "you don't need to tell me what I said someone will be there in 30-45 minutes." So we continue to wait, the 45 minutes goes by so I call back. Again. I tell him we have been waiting for over an hour where is your driver? He says "I don't have an exact fix on his location, sir, but he should be there any minute." So 10 minutes later he arrives, my friend picks up his car. However this isn't over yet, I ask the driver "do you know who is in your office tonight?" Him: "No sir, but I can call and check" Me: "no need, I just wanted to tell you that he is incredibly rude and unprofessional" Him: "well that was me on the phone, so have a good night a**hole" This company is a joke. Do. Not. Have. Anything. Towed. By. Them.

Poor service, They towed our car to a unattended lot and when we tried to retrieve the car it was difficult. They have no online directions so after three phone calls we were finally in the correct location, but they needed to send a tow truck driver over to release the car. They could not provide an ETA for the driver so we waited for over 30 minutes in an a gravel industrial lot. I assume we were the lowest priority. The tow was expensive and they added a fee for using a credit card.

After waiting an hour and 20 min I get a call from my roadside assistance saying the company was unable to locate me. I gave an intersection location along with destination points and had my hood up on my car. Corner of Hunter and Carter. The street behind Carl's icecream in the parking lot surrounded by a white fence with the parking lot sign saying 2300 parking. I really don't think it can be any more specific than that. I never saw a tow truck go by...after being told they couldn't locate me I was told it would be an additional 2hours for a tow...AFTER an hour and 20 min wait! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Towed truck to wrong address. Instead of taking accountability with me using terms like sir, accused me of signing paperwork I never signed although I sat for 30 minutes waiting in the guy to sign Saud paperwork. Guy showed up with his kid answering shaky. Asked to be sent said signed paperwork then was hung up on with a three way call with my insurance company who they blamed.
