I’m sure anyone in the area who scraps already knows to take it elsewhere, but Cat 6 cable - which usually goes for $1.11 at the very least to $1.35 per pound- they paid 75 cents for. #1 copper wire which is usually around $2.50 per pound, they paid $1.65 for. The only thing they paid remotely close to a standard price for was raw #1 copper. I hope this saves someone else a trip from getting ripped off because they took me for AT LEAST $200 less than I would’ve got taking it ANYWHERE else.
There are 3 recycling places in our area, these folk pay top tier from what I have seen! They are the best ones in Fredericksburg. Small spot but they give the best return.
They are waaaay better than summit... they don't try to mess you around the way summit does....the woman at summit that passes out the money is rude and she WILL cheat you if she can...mc metal doesn't play games and the employees actually help you not stand there looking at you...I HIGHLY recommend MC Metal!!!!!!!!....To add to this...in summary....the folks here make you feel like they want you there....

This place is a rip off. Was told a price over the phone, got there and I was given pennies to the dollar. Was expecting about $15 ended up with $3.25. Another place gave me $10.50.
They are way to cheap. I strongly suggest taking it to different scrap yard. They are the only place with in the northern Virginia are that don't keep to date on prices
