The people are terrible there, the attitudes, the lack of knowledge, also they offer the lowest rate out of everywhere in the city, head down the street for better service.
Jim was just as educational as a professional tactical instructor. Gave me great business mixed with humor and safety knowledge. Would highly recommend. Couldn’t ask for a better deal if I tried.

I’ve been a loyal customer at Capitol City Pawn for the past five years, primarily because of Chico. He was always there, ready to help with a friendly smile and a level-headed approach that made every visit a positive experience. Chico understood the needs of his customers and treated everyone with respect, regardless of their situation.
However, my recent visits have left me feeling a bit disappointed. I’ve noticed that Chico seems to be absent more often, and the place has become a revolving door for new employees. I can’t help but wonder where he is because he truly made the place feel welcoming. The new staff, particularly a red bearded gentleman, and the guy with the slick haircut, doesn’t seem to grasp the same level of understanding that Chico had. I felt a bit judged during my last visit, which is not what I’ve come to expect from this shop.
It felt disingenuous, desperation, and honestly, it’s frustrating the fact that they keep offering me to enter in a drawing for cash and even offered $5 extra in my transaction if I leave them (a good review.) Are they really trying to help us or themselves? People come to pawn shops out of necessity, not for fun or to be treated like a transaction. We need understanding and respect, and that’s what Chico provided.
I hope to see Chico back soon because he truly made a difference in this business. Until then, I’m hesitant to return. #WHERE'SCHICO

I've been to a lot of pawn shops in a lot of different states, but I've never been to a pawn shop as great as Capital City pawn shop. The workers there are great and very eager to allow the best outcome for whatever you're coming to do. If you are looking to buy, sell or pawn anything then this is the place for you.
Under new management and for the first time in a long time, i left feeling like a fair transaction had been made.. actually the first time at any pawn shop i was met within 15% of my initial ask..

Was looking to unload some old unused items and had no idea what I was doing. The staff was friendly attentive very informative and helpful. He made the experience both comfortable and enjoyable with many customer incentives. Very informative smooth and professional really great place will definitely be doing a lot more business with them in the future. Great for birthday or Christmas gifts with even layaway offered on merchandise!! A must visit place!!
Amazing, fair service and friendly people! I came in to sell some old jewelry and just see what it was worth and the associate's efficiently helped me sort and evaluate my items with ease and have me a VERY fair price for what I had. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable place of business for almost any need or want, I had a great conversation with Rick to start either and I just had to come back to meet the owner!! Very clean shop and a little bit of everything, easy to contact and arrange a specific appointment if necessary, and they even have a Mobile App! Some older guy looked at my 3ct diamond ring. He used a industrial-strength paper towel to wipe the ring, I told him don’t do that because can scratch the diamonds and he told me no it will not. In fact, he insisted it’s impossible to scratch a diamond with a rough paper towel as if I don’t know what I’m talking about. This guy is clearly not a certified jeweler. They will not handle your jewelry properly. They will scratch it and then off a lowball offer. The magnifying glass He was using to look at the diamonds was filthy. How are you gonna look through that dirty magnifying glass and make and honest appraisal. Do not let the older gray gentleman help you he does not know what he is doing definitely does not know how to handle Jewelry properly. I think he is the manager there not sure.
I always have a great experience here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Everything is handled quick and efficiently. They’re very reasonable with prices and pawns. This shop is top tier overall.
Was taken care of by Jim. Guy was fair with pricing and honest, told me about their layaway program. Will definitely be back. Large selection of everything, definitely have some quality firearms in stock right now
