Almost every other time I go they never pay me the right prices. The one guy will just weigh some things together instead of taking it out separately and then guess at what should weigh what. The last time I went I knew for a fact I had more weight for something than he put and he put more weight for the one that paid less. Not to mention the fact that on several occasions something was left off all together and I would have to make a special trip all the way back there just to get the money. There has been probably 3 times where I didn't even get paid for it at all. And the same person who has continuously has either messed up and left something off or just paid me wrong is always so rude. Never trying to help. It's ridiculous!
I had the opportunity to use this company since I had a large quantity and variety of scrap metal at my property. It was really too much to transport to the yard, so David indicated a dumpster drop-off. I took several days to load up the scrap metal and they came out to pick-up - very convenient service - would highly recommend for the future. This was really a clean-up project and amount of compensation $8.50 per 100 lbs. was not a driving factor in using Gordon Iron and Metal. Appreciate the assistance and guidance.
Unbelievable. One of their drivers intentionally ran my family off the road this morning. Blatant disregard for human life when in control of a commercial vehicle is unacceptable. Avoid this business.
David Okey & Scott Kiser did a great job getting my vehicles crushed and load in a very timely manner. I couldn't believe how fast they got it done, very hard workers. Highly recommend getting them for the job. Thanks for all the hard work guys. Been dealing with David for three years now and always great to work with. Both are great guys all around and very professional. Also great job with the truck drivers getting the loads hauled in.
This place isn’t even worth coming to. You’re gonna spend more money on new tires, new trailer decking, and new trailer parts then you will make out from scrap profit. Their “operators” could care less if they annihilate your trailer. Constant expensive issues here. They need to do better at cleaning up and their operators need to take their time picking shit up so thousands of pounds don’t land on and destroy your trailer. Broken welds from shit falling is bullshit. If you want customers to keep returning there has to be a level of responsibility and care or it simply stops being worth it to recycle the metal
Had gordons come to our salvage yard and crush. They did a great job with no mess to clean up afterwards. Scott was very quick and didn't waste any time. In the past when we had other companies crush they were there forever. I think they had a prob getting trucks to haul. 5 stars from B&H in Marion NC
Everytime I drive by the place there is this massive plume cloud of bright yellow smoke just hovering above the property. It doesn't look very healthy to breath. There are occasial bomb like explosions coming from here. I wouldn't jog or exercise around the place.
Alan was a great help in directing me and my husbands first time scrapping at this yard. We had a lot of aluminum cans and he was very attentive and answered all questions and made the process very easy. We will definitely be coming back.
Just wish the non-industrial site was open some hours on Saturday; but I get it, hard to get help on the weekends anywhere anymore! See you Friday!

Considering the scale of the operation, people should be more understanding about the rules and processes involved: I feel like most of the negative reviews probably stem from people not comprehending that this is a business, not a gov run recycling center/dump. I think you guys do a good job.
Absolutely horrible people working here, rude and unprofessional, tried dropping of a load of scrap metal and the guy was rude and refused to take a few of out items even though we’ve dropped off items like it before, or to mention the paperwork didn’t match the scale, they cheated us and who knows how many more people out of money, will not recommend anyone going here ever!
Was second in line when they opened , waited over an hour to get a truck unloaded, got moved twice by loader operators , never did get unloaded so I strapped my vehicle back down and left
Always check your ticket,they will rip you off in a heartbeat,know wat u got,know the price,they take advantage of every new customer,ran into someone who got shorted 200,another person shorted 150,so always CHECK YOUR TICKET,hope this helps someone in the future.

Not everyone is a criminal and Gordans has no xxo trol of what or how people get their scrap metal. If though some people do steal to sell scrap. The laws have change to protect the scrap yards and the people who sells. I have only used Gordans once . But everyone was very nice and well mannered. And i will use this company again in the future.
I was given a tour of the facility without even asking. The scope of what they accomplish at this facility is quite magnificent. Here is a company that is cordial and efficient, while putting metal back to use that could easily be forgotten. I'd work with them any day!
Very helpful staff. Kind, engaging and personal. I know of others who have dealt with them as well, for years, and they have expressed a stellar reputation.

With the LONG LINES and LONG WAITING TIMES it is not as profitable as it used to be to take your SCRAP METAL to GORDONS. I have started going to COTY's RECYCLING and have found that I can get in and out in a fraction of the time and Still get comparable prices on my SCRAP METALS.
